  1. There's going to be two LCS waves? I thought we were getting just the one? I don't think the second wave has been solicited yet.
  2. I really like that picture of the ice blast going through the Sentinel.
  3. Sent my info in. Really looking forward to this. Should be fun!
  4. That's like asking what's under a man's kilt. It just isn't done. It should have a full tampo on the chest so you can remove the shoulder/chest cap. Like the Wave 59 Sentinel.
  5. I know I'm a relatively new member but I'd love to get in on this as well.
  6. Are you talking about the white on the shoulders/neck area? I could swear mine was painted but I didn't take a close look. I'll try to do that tonight when I get home. The stripes on the arms look to be missing though too.
  7. Not sure if anyone has posted this yet or not but this is the "packing order" of the case of specialty blind bag figures I got. Keep in mind the way these are packed in the shipping box. The display box is just a cardboard tray with no top to it like the Aliens dump boxes. So the tray is wrapped in a plastic bag that is pulled tight and taped at the bottom, to keep the blind bags from jostling around I imagine. Some of the bags were placed in the tray facing backwards as well, which could be by design but is more likely just random. But there could be some movement of the bags during shipping so take this list as a sample and not the rule of thumb. Front to back... Mutagen Raphael (though mine was on top at the front, not stuck down in the tray like he was placed in at the last minute) Leonardo Leonardo Donatello Donatello Foot-bot Foot-bot Michaelangelo Michaelangelo Raphael Raphael Shredder Shredder April April Foot Ninja Foot Ninja Foot Ninja All of my 'mates appear to be in good shape. I didn't play around with them too much yet, just tested the limbs to make sure there weren't any stuck joints and that there weren't any wrong limbs like the Aliens I got. The only QC issue I have worth mentioning is that one of my April's was missing her figure stand. Not a big deal as I have plenty. Everything else is as expected. Some minor warping of weapons due to the blind bag packaging but nothing that can't be fixed with a hot water bath. Paint applications appear to be good though I'll need some closer examination to be sure. Nothing stood out as wrong though. One minor nit to pick with the arms. The elbows of the Turtles, with their sculpted elbow pads, rub at the back of the joint when you're bending the arm making it feel like you're forcing the arm to move in a direction it isn't supposed to. A fully rounded connection at the elbow or a little more room between the arm joint and the sculpted pad would fix this in future figures. Overall I really like these. The Mutagen variants look great together (holding out hope for Donnie in a future assortment to complete the group) and there are plenty of Foot-bots/ninjas to create a nice little army. The wait for wave 2 is going to difficult but I'll have plenty of play time with this first wave to hold me over.
  8. The colors of the Sentinel aren't as far apart as I'd feared.
  9. Just got my sealed specialty case from BBTS and the outer box said it was #164 of 1,500. For those keeping track.
  10. I checked the Turtles section. No sign of them at all. No pegs or anything. But they looked to be in the start/middle of their post holiday reset/restock. I'll give 'em a week or so and check back.
  11. But how would they even do Minimate My Little Ponies? Would they all be done like Lockjaw? Or would they do those weird Equestrian Girls designs? Honestly as much as it makes sense from a "hint" standpoint I don't think MLP is the animated license.
  12. I hit up the TRU closest to home this morning and no sign of the TMNT sets. They had the infinity Box Set and a few GotG Yondu packs but that was it. They looked pretty cleaned out after the holidays and I saw some RGIS inventory tags on the shelves so I'd imagine they just did year end inventory and are in the process of resetting/restocking. They had some stuff moved around since I was in there last.
  13. The TRU closest to me had 3 of the Yondu 2-pack left on pegs. Anyone still looking for it? Regular price $4.98 I believe.
  14. Picked up this set this morning. The TRU closest to me had about a dozen sets on 2 pegs in the Marvel action figure section. I didn't bother rummaging through all of them to check paint apps. I just checked a couple and took the one that looked the best.
  15. I'd also like to add to the pic request. Can we see a side by side of the TRU 19 Sentinel next to the Wave 59 figure? Just to compare colors.
  16. No problem. I was going to get one for myself and adding another set wouldn't be a big deal.
  17. Are we all sure this is AXIS? Could it also be the new Secret Wars? I'm not sure when that storyline starts but if Wave 61 comes out in spring before the movie then Wave 62 could hit summer/early fall which would be right around the time the Secret Wars event is in full swing. It would be tight timing and I don't know if DST has done a wave while the event is still going on but it would be great synergy for everyone.
  18. Its showing in stock at a couple stores near me. I can swing by this weekend and see if I can get a set for you. Interested? How picky are you about paint?
  19. That's exactly what it looks like. It gives the impression that corners are being cut and aesthetics are being sacrificed to save a few cents. I know that isn't true, but if I was a collector that wasn't very familiar with minimates that's what I would think. I think the opposite might be true there, Stack 32. It looks lazy to you, perhaps because you are very familiar with Minimates, and know that most heads are like that, and have a general understanding of manufacturing, but I can't imagine a person who does NOT know Minimates very well would say, "What lazy bastard used a head with a hole?" My general interactions with those who are not familiar with manufacturing believe that it would be LESS work not to make a hole, and that making the hole wasted our precious time and is costing them money. Kids doing the Build-A-Minimate booth often wish we WOULD make that extra effort, when they pick a random, no-hole head and try to put a helmet on it. Stupid kids ruining our toys collectibles with their stupid play patterns.
  20. Oh sure, like we need another reason to buy multiple sets (one to keep minty fresh and one to modify with glued on flames) (I'm so buying a second set now, seriously)
  21. Prometheus is a great guess. It's "tangentially" related to the Alien license and would probably be in the same licensing deal as Alien and Predator. A 4-pack with David and Shaw (Noomi Rapace) in space suits with parts for non-space suit figures (hence the "more than 4" in the set), the Engineer alien and if there is any fairness in the universe an Idris Elba 'mate because I really want to make a Luther minimate.
  22. Box set = classic 90's cartoon/90's movie/original Mirage style Turtles with mini pre-mutated turtle pack-ins (a la Snarf, Rocket Raccoon, etc)
  23. Hasbro put codes on their first 3 waves of Kre-O G.I. Joe blind bag figures and while I think it helped collectors sort out and purchase what they wanted (mostly armybuilders) I saw a LOT of the "unwanted" figures from those first few waves clogging up shelves. The 4th and 5th waves didn't have the codes and I've never seen them in stores and are harder to come by than the first waves. That might be due to lower production numbers on the later waves or higher demand for the characters but I think the lack of codes has pushed through more product than the coded bags.
  24. I don't see the Hulkbuster being any larger than Hulk as its evident in the trailer that they are about the same size. As to price, I'd put Hulkbuster in the Igor/Iron Monger range with inflation so about $500-600. Unless its diecast in which case I may as well file the divorce papers now because my wife WILL leave me if I pay that much. I'm really hoping they do a Loki with Thanos and hold him back from being a GotG release and update him to an Infinity War release with the gauntlet. I really don't need 2 Thanos' on my shelf. I'll get them but I don't need them. Also, the Hulk they showed in the case with Hawkeye and Black Widow just looks like the Avengers figure with new pants. If that's the case... man I just don't know. Already have the Mark 43 on flexpay. Hawkeye is different enough that I'll get him for sure. Widow, while I have the Avengers and Cap 2 versions I'm not so sold on thi- who am I kidding. I'll buy her too.
