Secret Santa 2016 - A New Hope
NerdyTrev replied to Mysterious Stranger's topic in Crisis of Infinite Minimates
Well, I'd post pictures if I could, but I got the second half of my secret Santa gift a while back but haven't gotten around to documenting it. I received a BEAUTIFUL diorama based on a city street at Christmas time which I can only assume was done by the brilliant KrisLyons. So thank you to him for putting this piece of wonderment together and sending it my way for the holidays. -
That looks great!

I'm a little distraught about this one. I know she'd had some trouble with some things so I knew it wasn't going to be a particularly happy passing, but this is just too damn early. I was really surprised when I found out that Debbie Reynolds is only 86! Two more chapters in the Star Wars saga that will be left incomplete. I'm sure they'll find a way to make it work (they could do what they did in Rogue One) but it won't feel right. We move on, though and can't do much about it.

Best Minimates of 2016 anouncement
NerdyTrev replied to MINI_MYTE's topic in Crisis of Infinite Minimates
It'll be sad to see you go, but I (as well as many others) am glad to hear that you aren't leaving, but that you're "leaving." In regards of the awards show, It'll be sad not having one to look forward to every year, but I will welcome the finale with open arms. Good night and good luck, Myte. May the winds take you wherever you need to be. -

Got the Clayface figure for Christmas and he's fantastic! He's perfect next to the other figures I had. -
Happy Holidays to all! Thanks for a good year on this wonderful site and here's to a new one ahead of us!

I'd go for that in a heartbeat! Two huge wants of mine in one wave. If it were possible to get a TRU tie-in I'd suggest: White Vision / Scarlet Witch Green Wonder Man / Graviton Classic Ultron / Hank Pym or Wasp That way most of the characters are familiar to the public, but in versions that us die hards want. -

I'd rather save the Warriors Three for an all Thor wave whereas with the recent release of Tigra it only seems fit to FINALLY get the WCA, not to mention how the Wrecking Crew have been a menace to the Avengers just as much as they have for the Odinson. -
Gotham Minimates- it's Official!

Maybe I was thinking only of designs I didn't care for at all. Like Bane and Parasite come to mind. Also wasn't too keen on the Ultra-Humanite they had. I'm a fan of the design with the huge brain barely in his head and they shrunk the poor guy's noodle. Characters like Psimon would be cool, though. -

West Coast Avengers vs. Wrecking Crew? -
If we don't get an updated AIM agent in a new batch of Iron Man minis, I'll be a little disappointed. Whether it be the LCS wave or the accompanying TRU assortment, we need a new AIM drone. Maybe with a more comic book-y MODOK, too.

My issue with getting DC through a cartoon license is that the character selection is limited. If we get Teen Titans, we can pretty much only get those characters. If we get Young Justice, the character selection is certainly better, but still very selective. I'm also not a huge fan of many of the designs. I would be happy if we gat the broader DCAU license considering the amount of characters thrown into four season of Batman, three season of Superman, five (or four, depends on how you look at it) seasons of Justice League/Unlimited, and three seasons of Batman Beyond. If we get a YJ series, I can see us being left with a whole lot of Robins, Superboys, and Kid Flashes. -

I'd like to get some Teen Titans minimates if the extent of which it was based of the series is the packaging art and the figures are styled after their comic book counterparts -
Good looking prize! Can't wait to see what everyone else got. Meanwhile, my gift from the MMMV elves came in the form of two packages!

Just give us comic fans a nice, new classic Thor wave with a TRU wave accompanying it. Thor/Executioner Loki/Hela Odin/Destroyer Fandral/Hogun TRU: Thor/Executioner Volstagg/Malekith Heimdall/Ulik

Quite a big one. Comic book Asgard is more blue and gold and red instead of dark blue dark green and silver. EDIT: Pic for posterity.

Mine arrived a while ago but I've only just recently been able to open it. Inside was the entire Alien Series 3, a Luke's Toy Store accessories bin and one of the concrete pillars which I can't wait to put together. Great gift and thanks to (who I can only assume is) Luke for being a fantastic Santa! -
I didn't love it, but didn't hate it. I had very low expectations considering the fact that they basically wrote out one of my favorite Star Wars characters (Kyle Katarn). It generally didn't feel like a Star Wars movie to me until halfway through the second act. The first act was very disjointed and felt like a bunch of random scenes thrown together. It wasn't until the phenomenal third act until I got really excited and I felt like I was watching Star Wars. I was very mixed about the characters. I liked Felicity Jones, though. See it if you're a Star Wars fan, definetly. I'd give a 6.5/10 for it being an average flick that kept me interested.

Zach has said that there aren't any plans to cover Cubed and Resurrection. There are still a ew figures missing from Aliens that we need. Clean Bishop comes to mind, perhaps a business suit Burke, Ripley from the first half hour of the film with her Jean shirt and LONG HAIR . I can see a fourth and final wave looking something like an amalgamation of the first two films similar to the TRU waves have done. I feel fulfilled with this line otherwise.

I still have a spare Man-Thing set and will trade anyone straight up for Jubilee/Destiny from wave 60.

Congratulations to everyone and a happy holidays for these next few weeks to come!
