  2. If I'm not mistaken, Scorpion bonded with Venom in the show. Best of both worlds?
  3. The extension is Gotham into the CW-verse I hope.
  4. Anything that gets me more DCAU I'll take gladly with open arms. Much like PL, I was born and bred a DC fan on B:TAS and TNBA. I shall live and die by the universe that Bruce Timm and Paul Dini built up so many years ago. Hoping we get a large assortment of villains to threaten our Justice League if they travel down that path.
  5. I didn't think that On Stranger Tides was made as well as it could've been made. The potential of Blackbeard and the fountain of youth was definetly there. It could've been a rousing pirate adventure, but it fell short of greatness.
  6. I just want to enjoy this movie. I'm not asking for the Citizen Kane of Disney adventure films, but I want to have a good time and not be plundered by lost potential like last time.
  7. If DC Minimates ever return, i don't want a hulk-ified Doomsday or Grundy. I want the, 2.5 to stick with the same simple spirit of the original line. These characters don't need a bunch of add on biceps and thighs to be recognizable!
  8. I just thought of this. Why hasn't Balder the Brave been in any of these movies?
  9. Top 10: 1. Medusa 2. Executioner 3. Crystal 4. Iron Monger (classic) 5. Wizard 6. Pip the Troll 7. The Trapster 8. Hela 9. The Watcher 10. Yondu (classic)
  10. I'm excited to listen to this! I'll let you know how it is bigvis!
  11. Wave 37 had a pretty good lookin' Thing.
  12. What with DST already having the DCAU license it seems more realistic for them to delve into that with Minimates. I, for one, would love it. And I agree with hellpop with it being a better choice than current costumes.
  13. I love that short because it's based off of the second story from the first issue of Batman from 1940. Bruce Timm is a genius and I would love a Batman series set in that era of comics.
  14. There isn't an official Gwenpool minifigure to spot differences on!
  15. Well I can't say i expect his full on green spandex but hopefully at some point he'll be wearing a green gi of sorts, perhaps with a yellow collar.
  16. I'd love to see a classic GOTG from the 31st century somewhere down the line. maybe in a wave with Korvac. or two box sets like what was done with Alpha Flight.
  17. I missed that Atom Smasher! Nice work, Nerv! Keep up the good work!
  18. If I'm not mistaken, when the facehugger attaches itself initially, there is a melting sound effect playing signifying the usage of acid to get its way to Kane's face. Also, I'm remembering a scene where Ash and Dallas literally pry the helmet off of Kane, spliting it in two vertically down the middle. Maybe I'm just trying to make sense of it.
  19. Hey all. After the discussion from the 2017 new year thread and the Bendis discussion in the wave 69 thread, it became apparent that Marvel isn't necessarily doing too hot today. I though this would be a good place to discuss what people should and shouldn't read. I'll start with some recommendations and some anti-recommendations (DE-commendations?) I know Kostis and I share opposing views of the latest Black Panther run by Ta-Nehisi Coates, but I personally think it's an interesting take on the character's Mythos. I think that BP has some very cool mythology behind him that is often neglected and while I don't think that Coates has been doing the best job with it, I still think it's a fun read. The latest volume of Hellcat labeled as "Patsy Walker aka Hellcat!" is very fun in my opinion. I think the snappy, dynamic art style really works for the character as well as how much fun the character can be. The dialogue is also really great. It's almost like each issue is a separate soliloquy delivered by Patsy in the most fun way possible. I won't delve into the story too much because, honestly, I feel it's a little contrived and cliche. She doesn't want to be a hero so she helps other heroes become heroes. That's what I got out of the first few issues at least. It's still a fun book to get into. I feel that Hellcat is a character that needs more attention like this book has given her. The Young Avengers reemerge from the ashes of Civil War II as the Champions! and to be quite honest, I think it's pretty good. It has three awesome characters at the helm (Kamala, Miles and Nova) and while I think Chulk is honestly one of the worst decisions in Marvel's history, the book does a good job of using him only when they need to. He's a nice leadership foil for Kamala, though. As I've said, I still don't completely understand young Cyclops, so I just go with it. There is a love story subplot that see,s a Little forced, but again I just roll with it. Perhaps I'm biased to the writing of MARK WAID (seriously I neve would've expected him to do a book like this), but I'll keep up with the misadventures of the Champions. Finally, the resurrection of the Great Lakes Avengers is quite simply lackluster. I don't like it at all. Perhaps it's coming out of the most uninteresting point in the Marvel Universe, but nevertheless I don't think anyone cares about these characters enough to put them in the spotlight for their own monthly title. Don't get me wrong, I think that these characters can be a lot of fun........ when their in the background. Their first appearance in the latter half of WCA/AWC is a great issue because these characters were brand new and in the background. When you put a cast of characters that are ALL comic relief, it doesn't work very well. They try to establish some conflict between Flat Man and Big Berthe, but it is uninteresting and falls flat (pun intended). I don't think I'll pick up another issue of GLA unless something amazing happens. Those are my opinions of the few Marvel titles I had picked up. What else have you people been reading? What should we read? What should we throw away?
  20. I could see this: Mockingbird (w/ Skrull head) / Queen Verenke Power Man / Iron Fist (both with Skrull heads) Invisible Woman (w/ Skrull head) / Skrull Soldier Extremis Iron Man redo (w/ Skrull head) / Skrull Soldier
  21. We could get an entire throwback wave for Secret Invasion with the major player and each pack coming with two Skrull heads to make your characters intergalactic fiends!
