  1. Young Justice does seem like the perfect opportunity. It would offer up some great characters. Build-a-Mates would benefit from that potential line as well.
  2. https://comicbook.com/marvel/2018/12/31/jude-law-denies-hes-captain-marvel/ This was posted yesterday. Who knows who he's playing at this point. Marvel has fooled us before. Sorry about my seeming aggressiveness.
  3. How many of those sets used Batman as an anchor? I always see dumb Batman vehicles and machines overshadowing the rest of the core DC characters and it bothers me.
  4. I suppose what I'm ultimately getting at is, if Lego wants to focus its energies into only producing Batman related products (which they've done amazingly with in the past), then why should they get the entire DC license? Perhaps something like the TV deal that was made to accommodate Batman being both in his own cartoon and Justice League Unlimited at the same time. Lego can retain the right to produce Batman and Batman universe merchandise and DST can use select Batman characters in the minimates line. I've thought that a fantastic comeback of DC minimates would be a Challenge of the SuperFriends series. Three waves of a classic (with one or two of the PC SuperFriends) Justice Leaguer paired with some of the most classic foes. God I want that right now.
  5. Which is totally unfair. They don't do anything with it anymore. The first two or three waves of the revamped Super Heroes line was sweet! Core league members and classic villains. Now what do we get? Expensive sets with Batman, Batman and more Batman. Did I mention they only care about releasing Batman? Minimates, while inherently more niche, offer more of the character variety that collectors are looking for. I know I'm not the only fan distressed with the lack of variety Lego has. Most collectors care more about the figures than the bricks themselves. Minimates is a much better investment for those people. The fact that DC doesn't realize that bothers me.
  6. Cool! I'm excited to see what he looks like. I feel like the 70's FF run is sorely under appreciated. Rightfully overshadowed by the Lee/Kirby days and the John Byrne stuff (but if I'm being honest, I much prefer the stories in the 70's than those in the John Byrne days).
  7. Mahkizmo, Thundra's lover from her original home dimension?
  8. Ann Weying Venom from the TTA set has the piece I believe.
  9. Presumably to emulate the Spot's abilities as best DST could. Also, I love the alt. head for Spot. These sets look great, Zach.
  10. I don't think they'd have a problem with Poindexter in the suit. DST had no problem putting it in the Season 2 box set after it had just been in the two pack. Plus there's always the possibility to simply switch out Dex's head for Matt's. As for Matt, I think his civilian look would be serviceable. He's in it for most of the season anyways. I'm thinking that big jack and the baseball cap. And that can easily turn into his makeshift suit. Black torso underneath, alternate arms and the hood. Easy. Same could be said with Poindexter/Nadeem. Have the DD suit have a blank black torso on the backside, switch it around to go underneath the jacket. Alternate legs and a Nadeem head. Badaboom. I think they'd do Maggie over Potter because she's just more vital to the story. I feel like people who buy the box would be more satisfied with the purchase if it included four figures (five characters) who had an integral play in the season's arc and not just a random guy who had a cocktease fight with Daredevil one time and wore some weird-ass yellow shirt only to rile up geeks like us. Of course I say all of that in kind ...mostly.
  11. Zach, any chance at all that we'll see a season 3 set? The season's been doing extremely well and has surprised Disney even after their preemptive cancellations of Iron Fist and Luke Cage. I think it would probably be a good sell. A quality line up would be: Matt Murdock, Agent Poindexter, Kingpin, Sister Maggie. I wanted to have Melvin Potter somewhere, but he didn't fit. Maybe next season (fingers crossed there will be one) he'll finally become Gladiator.
  12. I thought we should recognize one of the most influential comic book artist's passing. His work on further shaping the world of the Dark Knight is still recognizable today. From creating some of the most iconic Batman villains, to defining his shadowy look, you cannot look at a piece of modern Batman art today and not notice some piece of Breyfogle hidden in the inks. Rest in Peace, Norm.
  13. For a Dark Phoenix assortment I'd want to see Dark Phoenix / Cyclops Fang Wolverine / Gladiator Sebastian Shaw / Emma Frost Professor X / Lilandra BaM: Shadowcat
  14. Any of these: Earth’s Mightiest Minimates Yellowjacket / Wasp Captain America / Moondragon Hellcat / Scarlet Witch Beast / Wonder Man BaM: Jocasta West Coast Avengers vs. Wrecking Crew Hawkeye vs. Thunderball Mockingbird vs. Piledriver Silver Centurion Iron Man vs. Bulldozer Firebird vs. Wrecker Classic Guardians of the Galaxy Yondu / Charlie-27 Starhawk / Korvac Nikki / Martinex Vance Astro / Aleta Ogard Avengers/Defenders War Vision / Silver Surfer Valkyrie / Loki Doctor Strange / Iron Man Mantis / Swordsman BaM: Dormammu Jack Kirby Thor Wave Thor / Ulik Enchantress / Executioner Mangog / The Destroyer Odin / Hela BaM: Lady Sif Avengers Under Siege Captain America vs. Baron Zemo Hercules vs. Grey Gargoyle Captain Marvel (Photon) vs. Goliath Wasp vs. Moonstone BaM: Jarvis
  15. I found a full set, not too interested in these though. Anybody want them?
  16. Anybody have the Rocket and Groot set up for sale or trade?
  17. I'd be down for a whole slew of Coen minimates. I think Lebowski and Fargo warrant at least one 2-Pack assortment, but other films like No Country For Old Men may only work with a box set similar to Pulp Fiction.
  18. Having rewatched it in theaters for the twentieth anniversary and noticing what an enormous fanbase it has. Minimates based off of The Big Lebowski is an offer far too good to pass up. Sure, quantity may not be there, but quality certainly. We could be gifted a clean, sharp looking set of minimates with this line and the want is definitely there. I mean, if Pulp Fiction and View Askew could do so well, why not this? Anyone ever thought of this before?
  19. Shade, the Changing Man has some of the most beautifully darkly colorful images I've ever seen. I just know that all his work will live on.
  20. I almost wish we weren’t getting the Skrulls just somthe Kree could be the main antagonists. I feel like that would just make the whole universe seem a lot more well rounded. I don’t think it makes sense to show a race that was previously seen as empirical terrorists as the pseudo-Protagonists.
  21. Really enjoyed it. Gonna see it again next weekend and try to look at it from Thanos’ perspective. I liked seeing all the parallels to the original Infinity Gauntlet story and hope that they continue. I wonder, however, if they’ll make someone take up Mephisto’s role. That being said, I could see Red Skulletor doing it, but he seemed far too stoic and Watcher-esque to make the cut. In wondering how this all will close, I’m hoping that Strange takes up the Adam Warlock role as he seems to be the most cosmically knowledgeable out of all of them. Perhaps Cap and the original Avengers finds a way to take the Gauntlet with Captain Marvel’s help and after returning everyone from wherever they were sent to (I’m thinking maybe inside the Soulgem?) Strange pics up the Gauntlet and delivers the infamous “let the conflict end!” I thought the pacing was brilliant and everything flowed together. However, I should say that the final fight scene on Titan right before Thanos gets the time gem was a bit gratuitous. While it was neat seeing all those characters get together, if Strange knew that the only way they’d survive was if he gave Thanos the gem, I’d much ratherd a well put together argument between Quill, Strange and Stark than that huge beatemup. Also woulda shaved off about ten minutes, but I digress. At the end of the day, I loved it and can’t wait for the thrilling conclusion!
  22. Avengers/Defenders War Iron Man / Doctor Strange Valkyrie / Loki Silver Surfer / The Vision Mantis / Swordsman BaF: Dormammu
  23. Robot Red Skull that came with Fighting Chance Cap is what I used. Not perfect but it definitely looks great.
