With the box sets often being story events we're finally getting a Tainted Meat set. Dinner Time Dale and three cannibals. Likely not happening but it would certainly spark conversations over how far a toy should go even in the context of a zombie property. I can only think of a couple more disturbing/controversial possible sets but I know they will never happen.

Oh boy, this is going to be really fun to watch. Hastings is my only local source of mates and my experience has been that they are rather interesting in the way they get in stock. It all seems to go to a single location where cases are opened and then individual items are sent out to different stores. It is very unusual to get a short packed variant in a wave. I think my favorite so far has been with the best of wave one. There were no Iron Man/Thing, one Goblin/Spider-Man, three or four Cap/Thor, and at least ten Wolverine/Sabertooths packs. There are still four left because there are only so many that I can force myself to pick up. I'm sure it will be different with an exclusive. At least that's what I'm going to keep telling myself.

I want a Tomb Raiser Zombie made so that I can get an extra to modify the Anubis headdress into a Marvel Red Wolf custom.

I don't think it would be that hard to create a workable Queen using a regular body. If done like the Phoenix Killer armor using the regular mate arms as the smaller chest arms of the queen and a large "armor" body with main arm attachment points like Ultron with the queen's head attachment ball on the body like the Scorpion Battle beast rounded out with full bulked up legs and elongated boot feet. I could easily see a queen at four inches with that type of design the real problem would be in fitting such a monstrosity into a standard sized two pack so she would likely have to be in a larger four pack, say with battle damaged Bishop, final battle Ripley, and over sized accessory Ovipositter (similar to the Universal Mummy Sarcophagus.

Thanks, Karamozov80. Yeah, it just seems natural that eventually Venom will spend time bonded with a winged character and once you have wings. Of course, once he has wings, why would he give them up just because he decides to bond with someone else?

I love minimates because they allow creative and customizable freedom unparalleled in any other toy. Even when a property or individual look doesn't excite me, I still try to pick up two copies one my regular collection and a second to break down and use as custom fodder. Often I find a whole new appreciation of an individual mate just from finding new ways to re-use their parts. Best of all after a current 462 unique customs when I ask myself "Do I have enough?" even if the answer is "yes" as soon as a new wave or property's prototypes are shown the first thing that I do is start visually breaking down the parts for a brand new round of creation. Besides there is no other toy line, that I can think of, that will allow Krang to check out if Dashboard Christ goes commando under his toga.

Back with several new customs and a couple of just because pics. First up is another G.I. Joe Adventure Team character created by Monte. Bad-Ass is the half Brother of Paradise and Badlands. Two fathers, a donor mother, and a birth mother after growing up trying to explain that to their classmates Smash and Slash find zombies to be a nice change of pace. Zombies don't ask stupid questions and they make for good workout partners, at least, until an area has been cleared. Then the twins have to pick up and move to a more crowded area. Damn. After seeing Shredder, Krangs, and Foot Soldiers I was really excited but the turtles themselves are a real let down unless spare sculpted heads are packed in but hidden away so as not to interfere with other licenses. As it is I really hope the colors are a close enough match to the Lego turtles so that I can bash together a better look.

I'm actually hoping for a mixed X-Now wave with a completion of wave 59. Skittle/Ranger X-23 & Prof. Pryde X-Face Cyclops & Now Magneto Now Storm & Rachel Grey UA Havoc & Sunfire Havoc could of course be switched out for Banshee, but I'd rather see him in a LCS wave with an alternate of either Syrin or in his blue blue suit.

Considering the timing Id think it would be a time traveler type X-Wave to tie in to the movie but not be A days of future past wave. As promised here are my Days of Future's End Avengers. In the future the Earth is attacked by a combined force of the galaxies most powerful alien races in order to end the threat of super humans. In a last ditch effort to save the planet SHIELD Director Patch assembled the last team of Avengers to travel back in time to prevent the Earth's fall. Captain Earth: The external Sam Guthrie (Cannonball) was the only survivor that witnessed the death of Captain America. Taking up the partially destroyed shield he fought on until he was nearly overwhelmed he only escaped due to the timely arrival of the new God of Thunder. Spider Venom: After years of battle, hatred, and multiple hosts Venom was able to convince Peter Parker to once again merge with him in a pact of mutual preservation. Stark: While Iron Man fell in battle Tony was able to copy his mind into one of his suits and continues on fighting for his home planet. Loki, God of Thunder: The Asgardians sided with Earth in the battle and many of them fell including Thor. He sacrificed himself by taking a blow meant for Loki. Suddenly Loki felt remorse for the centuries that had been lost due to his own jealousy. In that instant he lifted Mjolnir And became one of Earth's last heroes. Dr. Hulk: After years of battling with himself Hulk isn't the man or monster he once was. With the mind of the Hulk and Banner's failing body the only thing that keeps him alive and fighting is a Stark built Iron Hulk suit. The mind of a five year old little girl super robotic genius in a cobbled together sentinel body. While she is the intellect in control she also contains parts and abilities from multiple android heroes and villains. Her armor has many of Dr. Dooms defense mechanisms and she can use Visions molecular density abilities. Most importantly to the Avengers is the fact that she has been able to incorporate Widgets time and space warping abilities. So here I go again posting a large group of customs in order to force people to pick up minimates that they didn't want or inspire other, likely better, customs. First up a bunch more Lego Chima minifigs lost their heads once again to become A51 shape shifter customs. Bridge, and Z-Day survivor Denim. She may not be dressed to take on zombie hordes but then that's what men are for anyway. Finally to round this group out are XL Marauder, the daughter of the time displaced Cyclops and X-23, and XL Puma the son of Puma and the Black Cat. 03 by Prowl-Ar, on Flickr Moving on to a new group that I've created primarily to thin out the Thor bodies over crowding my fodder boxes. The Cerberus Organization is dedicated to the creation of super soldiers often utilizing alien or mutant DNA. Their Alpha Group Broadsword, Bow, Fan, Gladius, Kris, and Stave are modified with Asgardian DNA and equipped with weapons stolen from multiple god like civilizations. 04 by Prowl-Ar, on Flickr The last group up is a "What if" group from my something green entry. What if the Original X-Men never return to their own time? After the disappearance of the X-Men Professor Xavier recruits a new team of mutants to be his All New X-Men. Team commander Havoc, Wolverine, Rogue, Colossus and Thunderbird have the nearly impossible mission of discovering the location of the time displaced original X-Men and safely returning them to their own universe. The final custom is the Reject KaTech, an individual with the ability to take any electronic toy and turn it into a weapon by giving it a sophisticated A.I. She prefers to use felines but any robot will do in a pinch. 05 by Prowl-Ar, on Flickr Ant that should do it until I get the one part I still need to finish my "Days of Future's End" Avengers customs.

While I'm not going to guess the line up of this one I'm going to say that Hulkbuster/Hulk and Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver will be the TRU exclusives that get the boot and will have everybody screaming for blood this time around.

A little project that has been circulating in my head since the release of "All New X-Men" was the what if the original X-Men never return to their own time line. After discovering that the only green minimate body that I had at the moment was X-Factor Jean Grey I kicked this little project into high gear and this is what I cam up with. After the disappearance of the original five X-Men Professor Xavier recruited a new group of mutants to be his X-Men. Colossus, Wolverine, Havoc, Rogue, and Thunderbird have the nearly impossible mission of discovering the location of the time displaced original X-Men. All New X Men II by Prowl-Ar, on Flickr What? Still, I also thought that same thing about Boom Boom, Thunderstrike, Longshot, and Shanna the She-Devil. So the possibility always exists.

If the movie generates as much interest as Mini vs Micro Rocket then a Guardian of the Galaxy 2 should be likely. Perhaps everyone should stop arguing which version is better and instead start the petitions for a full size Minimate Rocket in the GotG II assortment. While I'm firmly in the full minimate treatment camp on this one from what we have seen, for now, I can live with the micro version but it would be nice if he was a hybrid of micro and mini like the plants in Plants vs Zombies and have articulation at the neck and shoulders. As for Lego making Rocket a full size mini fig I'm betting that he gets the unarticulated half size lower leg brick. Meaning that all Rockets will be non or only partially articulated. Also I love how individuals keep pointing out that raccoons are small. They may seem small but having faced off with one that was rather ticked off let me tell you they are a lot bigger than you might expect. Still I've had a lot of fun reading this discussion especially in light of Rocket's latest appearance where he stated "... they should stop calling me a krutacking raccoon!"

Am I dreaming, or is that a boot holster on Patrol Rick's ankle? If it's real I'm going to need multiples for customs.

The more I see of the characters I can't help but think "Damn, they must have gotten a good deal on the old G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra costumes".

While I've been over Simpsons for years, I'm likely going to get an extra Mooby as a base create a shirtless Homer.

I completely understand your point and I'm not surprised how amazing they look. Even properties that I don't particularly care I often end up picking up because they're too good to pass up or they have parts that will make great customs. What I am surprised by is that, with the exception of the bear, each new character only gets a new head or head and body combination. However, considering Anubis' whole point was the fact that he was wearing the Dread Weapon boots, it seems a strange change to make when re-using the Moose/Giraffe lower leg in solid silver plastic would have been a closer match rather than human boots.

While I'll likely still pick this series up for parts and to support the line in hopes of a series three the only thing that comes to mind looking at them is how disappointing. Loosing the cheetah in exchange for a giraffe or the cobra wasn't worth it. As if loosing the cheetah wasn't bad enough there is the fact that Anubis no longer has proper lower legs instead he has human type boots. If he still has the legs he had in the control art and the boots and legs are extra parts then I retract my objection to the figure. However, the bear had better still have his giant cleaver/sword because if he is left with the cheetah's weird axe then it is really adding insult to injury. Like I said I'm still going to get them but I just can't be as excited as I was with the prototypes and control art.
