  1. Many people will spend 7 dollars for a latte at Starbucks. That doesn't mean Wendy's can successfully sell 3 dollar lattes. I understand your line of thinking, but it's apples to oranges, really.
  2. I think EITHER of those works. Maybe Quicksilver?
  3. I'd stitch out the arms too and just have a different color jacket altogether
  4. I, regrettably, agree with almost literally EVERYTHING being said here... I would love to see more ambitious/inventive SDCC Minimate exclusives, BUT I don't know that they'd perform well enough to justify them. I don't want DST to sink itself on being overly ambitious and failing miserably. What would be GREAT - imho - would be comic cover recreation 8-packs. Avengers vs. Wrecking Crew, All New X-Factor (issue 71), and so forth. The cover of the box would mimic the comic cover, but feature Minimate versions of the characters (like the recent comic covers/posters). It would be an opening flap and the mates would be displayed inside in their tray. It would be one new box build, that could be reused every year. I DO think there would be a greater level of excitement for the exclusive if we knew it would be more than just a standard box set. AND I'd gladly pay a mark up to cover the cost of ambition. Say... 50 for an 8 pack?
  5. How do we get the Reavers? A redone Deathstrike, Pierce, Pretty Boy, Bonebreaker, Skullbuster, and Cole, Reese, and Macon... It's too many for a wave or box set, and SOME without the others would be far less than ideal... A ten pack? Wolverine on X-Crucifix, Pierce, Prettyboy, Skullbuster, Bonebreaker, Deathstrike, Cole, Macon, Reese, and Gateway?
  6. Why would you draw your finger across your throat?
  7. I'm very excited for most of this, except Darkdevil. I think it is all progressive and intriguing. Now, as for Old Man Logan, I'll say this about that: it could be really interesting to see him get a second chance, and it could be a good way to get a grim Logan back. So much had happened in James Howlett's life to lead him down a dark path, but Xavier gave him a home and the X-Men gave him love. He was whole before he died. Old Man Logan lost all of that and was all but defeated. He fought back, and won, but that didn't get him any of his peace - or friends - back. Now here he'll stand alongside young mutants and have a chance to nudge them in the right direction while also having motivation enough to not be out picking fights with Sabertooth or whomever. I like it. I want to see him play off of Old Man Rogers. V, Dr StrAxe, ANAD Iron Man, and Red Wolf are the characters I'm MOST intrigued by, beyond the Wolverines, so far. And we need a Medusa who has three hairpieces - one based off of this image that is half cocoon, one that acts as a stand, and one that is actively reaching out with a tendril wrapped so as to fit around another figure's waist or wrist
  8. Nessex, you make some excellent points BUT... you may be wrong about who's hard to get after the fact. I'd imagine anyone looking to expressly buy a Dr. Strange set will be most willing to part with Magik, then Hela. Voodoo is the wildcard here, but Dormammu is the one NO ONE will be giving up. I'm trying to decide if Magik, Astral Strange, and Dormammu are worth the money, especially knowing I'd turn around and track down NOW! Cyclops to go with Magik...
  9. I don't particularly care about the individual figures, but as a set? That is phenomenal! It's themed, but it also touches the X-Men and Thor corners of the MU to tie in those aspects. Add the packaging, the eye of Agomotto, and the price? This is their best con set in ages!
  10. SDCC 5pack (not FROM the con, but celebrating it)... Budget Trekker (who always wears his hat) Marvel Zombie Elaborate Costume Guy (who can't wait to take it off) Girl Friend Who Likes BSG Fat Ghostbuster in Chucks (who's angry about the reboot) You know at least SOME amalgamation of these people
  11. Great concept, but... Ugh... I HATE long-tongue Toad. The movies started that, if I remember correctly, and poor Mortimer's been eating flies since
  12. I was wondering the same thing, but it HAS to be the latter, right?
  13. Ugh. Modern Bachalo is just lines. Everywhere. It's like he's having one long continuous seizure.
  14. Thanks for the heads up, MPL! Definitely want Hobby/Carnage... MAY grab Apocalypse, too. We shall see.
  15. Any idea on a when for this wave?
