  1. Super cool! I love Mass Effect as a series, so I can't wait! I think Liara looks pretty spot-on. I wish Garrus and Wrex had more claw-like hands instead of the normal Minimate ones, but it's something I can get over. Garrus is also missing the visor that goes over his left eye, so I hope that error gets fixed before production since he's the one character I was hoping for the most. I can't wait to see the rest of these. I can see Tali in the corner, so hopefully we can see her soon!
  2. Mine arrived! The Mate itself is super amazing, but I don't know if I want to open it or not! Thank you so much for holding this contest! This place is full of such nice people.
  3. Will there be more of these contests? I've been wanting to win a blank, but the contests are always up when I'm not on.
  4. I love Minimates because they provide a way to collect all of my favorite characters in a single, uniform look. Having everything as a Minimate looks much better than having figures of different characters in scales and styles that don't match. I also love Minimates because they introduced me to things I've became a major fan of. (ex. Walking Dead)
  5. http://www.shopafx.com/20sandiconop.html AFX just put up their Exclusives. Deadpool 4-pack, Thundercats, and an Iron Man 10-pack! Personally, I'll probably just get the Deadpool set. I'm not the biggest Thundercats fan, and I don't really need 8 figures I already have in order to get a new Tony and Pepper. I'm sure these will do great at the show, though!
  6. When I had first got the Silver Centurion in my hands, all I could think was that there wasn't enough silver. Now that's just a fault of the movie design, and not the actual figure, but I wanted to see what would happen if I gave the Silver Centurion the arms and legs of a spare Terminator Endoskeleton to make it closer to the comic design. What do you guys think?
  7. You're right! Should have put in one of those.
  8. Name: Richard Fisher Age: Not recorded, somewhere in the 20-25 range "I knew about Zombies before it was cool." It couldn’t have been any other day when “It” happened. The world was calm, everything was peaceful. Richard Fisher was nothing more than a 20-something year-old fresh out of college. With a whole life ahead of him, he had nothing to lose, the whole world was at his fingertips. His parents had wanted him to become a successful businessman, but instead, he had became a monster truly terrifying: A hipster. Richard refused to live by the world around him, finding everything to be “too mainstream,” or “too conforming” for his tastes. He abandoned the world around him for a life of coffee shops, and updating his social network statuses. What was he to do? He wanted nothing to do with anything normal, finding the world around him to be worse than something like zombies. But then “It” happened. He was downtown at his local coffee shop, checking his website feeds, and taking a whiff of a mocha-frappe-double-chino, before the door nearby rang, and footsteps came in. A figure shuffles to the cashier, who kindly greets the stranger. What Richard saw would shock him for the rest of his life. The man—Not a man, not anymore, grabbed the cashier, and forcefully took a chunk-full bite of their ear. It happened all too quickly, and Richard had no plans for this. He knew one thing, though: Everything was about to go down, and he was without his new MP3 player. With nothing but his satchel and the clothes on his back, Richard quickly set out as the creature devoured the poor soul, before moving onto the other people in the building. He couldn’t look back. He grabbed his bike, and set out into the distance. Already the world around him was crumbling, people were in riots, abandoning cars and businesses, other “people” chasing after those abandoning, overcoming the public, one after one had fallen to the outbreak. Richard pressed on, and continued moving on, until he soon found himself alone, in the forest, where he would fend for months. -------------------------------------------------------- Half a year had passed from the day 1 of the infection. Richard was now alone, having to fend for himself. He made a small camp in the forest, far off from any traces of society, or any traces of “the mainstream,” as Richard would call them. The last time anybody knows for sure what’s happened is that he was atop a rock formation, trying to fire at some, when a misfire causes them to notice him. He had no choice but to throttle back, and make a way through a lake, back to his bike, the undead giving chase behind him. It’s unknown what’s happened to Richard as of now. Possibly he made a life of his own away from it all. Maybe he found a group of survivors. Or maybe he succumbed to a messy fate of his own. Nobody knows for sure, but what is for sure, is that he’ll never conform to the mainstream.
  9. Whelp. Looks like you guys guessed right. http://www.artasylum.com/2013/02/the-disney-store-celebrates-the-60th-anniversary-of-peter-pan-with-exclusive-minimates/
  10. Doh! Completely forgot about that contest. Fantastic, though!
  11. Well, I just placed an order for X-23 and Felicia from MVC3. Hopefully this will fare better than TRU's shipping process.
  12. I really dig the look of the Error. I don't know why, it just kind of..POPS more than the normal version. I'm as confused as everyone else is on how to win, though. Do I need to make a Vorin costume for Halloween? Because I'll try that. It'll be bad, but I'll try it!
  13. Oh boy, Doom and Wesker came in today from TRU! ....Oh. Well at least the figures are okay! ....Well at least Doom is okay.
  14. Hah! I didn't even look at the insert, thanks for pointing that out!
  15. Actually, I had ordered the Cap/Ryu one along with the other non-exclusive set and the HALO Series 5 ones, but they all got thrown onto back-order. It's a shame, really, because I was looking forward to them a lot more. And why yes, I was going to review this, thank you very much. You're welcome!
  16. Got my Cap/Ryu set in the mail today. I can take pictures of it tomorrow in the morning if you guys want. EDIT: Pics! Also, excuse the background, the living room was the only place with halfway decent lighting in my house.
  17. Trust me, I'm sure most other Ziks are going to be fine, I'm thinking I just got a bad Zik. And even then, it's not that big of a deal, as it should be a pretty easy fix.
  18. I know this is a little bit of a plug, but since I haven't seen any real images of the SDCC set here, I just felt like showing off my review of it to you guys. And because I'm already digging a hole for myself, I also did one of the Blue Vorin. Enjoy.
  19. Not sure if this was posted yet, nor am I sure this should go here, but here's something the Alpha Flight fans might like.
  20. I'm excited. This may be the first decent Disney movie I'll have seen in a long time.
  21. These are some good looking sets, especially the Walking Dead one. I think a "con-goer" zombie would have been perfect, though. Not really keen on the AvX set. I like the updated Cyclops, but I'm not sure on the Colossus, and neither Hope nor Emma really do anything for me. Spider-Man is the least interesting, for sure. Why do I want a lizard with a little bit of dirt on his chest and a different expression? Oh well. It looks okay. I like the look of the Battle Beasts set, Vorin looks nice and I'm sure the dragonfly can be used for something. I'll for sure be picking these guys up at the convention, though, and I'm even considering the Spidey bust they're offering alongside the Minimates, and the Battle Beasts comic.
  22. I'm gonna throw my hat into the ring and say that it's Mega Man. I know it has nothing to do with bananas, and there's at least one or two humans there, but with DST and their sudden affiliation with Capcom games, I just get a gut feeling about it.
  23. Last Saturday I emailed CS about a replacement for the Ant-man helmet in the Avengers box set. They got back to me on Monday, and today I was pleasantly surprised to find the helmet in my mailbox. So uh...Thanks, CS.
