Zach, what's the story on the Pike minimate shown at C2E2?

My preference is not for a Disney Store exclusive, because their prices aren't the most reasonable. But then I would on the other hand be okay with it because it seems like the Peter Pan sets didn't do as well and I'd hate to see them give up on Minimates altogether. So, I won't complain, but I won't root for it to go to them first either.

Umm....*phrasing*!! We never wondered cut or uncut. Since this set is a 180 from Alpha Flight, does that constitute a nu start?

The first ViewAskew movie, Clerks, was in B&W. I assume if they are going wide with the license, the first B&W set is to both commemorate the first movie, and to make a special set that won't piss off fans if they miss out. Personally, I want this set in color more than anything, and would be upset if I missed out on that. So think of this as a "preview" set. I'm sure there will be more. As a fan of the movies, I don't need every character to be made, but I'll be buying the ones that come out. I only care about Clerks 1 & 2 (and maybe the upcoming 3?) and Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. I'd also take some Dogma, but can live without them. But I can totally like without Chasing Amy or Mallrats (or Jersey Girls), mainly because most of them are in J&SBSB, and are also boring designs. My Wishlist: Color version of J&SB from J&SBSB with PVC orangutan Marshall Willenholly with Cockknocker Bluntman & Chronic Dante & Randall (Clerks 2 Mooby outfits, bonus points for "Porch Monkey for Life" on Randal's back!) Dante & Randall (B&W from Clerks to compliment the SDCC J&SB B&W set) Alan Rickman & George Carlin from Dogma (yes, I just want them for customs, but would buy extras for that )

Funny, Venom-Wolvie is the only one in this set that interests me. Different strokes, I guess. The boots are black, so I guess you could swap out a Venom chest and leg and arm, and take a claw hand from the set's Ultimate Wolvie to make a near-complete Venom-Wolvie. Space Suit Wolverine better come with that helmet shown at they NYCC pics. Without the helmet, I'll lose interest in him. Hopefully the final helmet will have a transparent facescreen instead of painted like the prototype. Japan-robed - not one I've been dying to see redone. Maybe I'll change my mind once he's in-hand. Ultimate Wolvie - what a waste. Unless they plan on redoing the Ultimate line, it kinda sucks to get a new UXM version of only one character. It's well made, don't get me wrong, just not very necessary and not going to fit in with my display very well. This is the one I would have swapped out for Weapon X! I really would have preferred a different box set. More team builders, a Marvel Now! set to augment what we have, or anything else. Can't wait to see AFX's exclusives, they still have 1 Marvel set and 1 Thundercats set, right?

Holy Crap! I leave town for one day and the SDCC exclusives show up I'm really not into Black & White painted minimates. I really dislike them, I can't really mix them in with my regular mates. I'm totally buying both J&SB and LiS just to show my support, but damn I want them in color! Kostis, don't you need "civies" to witness your superheroes battling? I know my Jay & Silent Bob will be in the background of my superhero display eventually. As for more View Askew J&SB minimates, I want Marshal Wilenholly, and Alan Rickman's character from Dogma just for an Alan Rickman minimate! And of course, Bluntman, Chronic, and of course Mark Hamill as Cockknocker! And maybe Carrie Fisher as the hairy nun! Not liking the Wolverine set. I really prefer the sets like Stormbreaker and Alpha Flight. I look forward to SDCC exclusives to get the rare unique characters that we don't usually see, not all of one character Not to mention we *still* don't have a Weapon X Wolverine yet. I was just thinking that if DST were to offer another Pike, it would be great if they did it with his Away Team jacket and an extra set of arms for his duty uniform. I'm sure many would buy duplicates just to get that jacket and outfit the original Spock from "The Cage." So... what's with that Pike? Series 2 or leftover from DST pushing another Enterprise? I agree 1000%! I've always wanted that away team jacket on a minimate, especially a "smiling" Spock variant.

It's almost frustrating how near complete 90's X-Force is and it feels like they've stopped. Stryfe is such a cool looking design, I'm surprised he hasn't been made yet. Siryn is necessary, Sunspot too. I'd take Gideon if he were made, but sorry, I'm not going to lobby for him, He has "pegwarmer" written all over him. So, a Sunspot / Siryn 2-pack, plus slot Stryfe in with any other unmade mutant (Forge?) since he faced off against them all in one of those crossover events.

I think for the Enterpise crew, a Sharpie should do fine over the yellow stripes, or else masking tape and paint for straight lines, since the stripes are the only difference. And for Hoshi, she was never that well-endowed, so I don't think it'll be that bad not to have a specific female chest block. I love your take on T'Pol. The XMFC White Queen is an inspied choice! Remembe, the IM3 Iron Patriot come with an extra African American head, but it does have the hole in the top, so if you're okay with that then maybe he's good for a Mayweather custom? Otherwise 2 cheap alternatives are the T2 Miles Dyson or 24 President Palmer - both plentiful and cheap - try Lukes or the trade board. My biggest disappointment is that Archer comes with the Xindi instead of a more custom-friendly parts source, like Shran! I'm buying multiple Archers myself, and having extra parts like Andorian hairpieces would have served me well! I don't know what I'm going to do with all those multiple Xindi's
