Lobsterman
Man, there's nothing like running down the clock. I was fortunate enough to find a soft spot to land as my current company slowly and painfully crashes in a ditch. It's been a long time coming; clients have been dropping off, we've relocated to a smaller office, laid off most of the staff, and taken huge pay cuts over the last year. Now, finally, it's just me and the owner, and I'm out of here in two days. Not much to do, as we've wrapped up all but a few loose ends with our remaining clients. But, the boss wants me to stick around in case a little project pops up. Snnoooooore....

karamazov80
When you say that you've found a soft spot to land, are you saying that you have found another position? Bummer to hear about any business failing.
Lobsterman
Yes, fortunately I was able to land a position somewhere else. I always like leaving a company on my terms rather than someone else's. It wouldn't have been too much longer, though, before I would have been getting the bad news rather than giving it. MINI_MYTE
If you don't mind my asking Lobsterman, what is it that you do for a living?
Lobsterman
I'm a graphic designer, like everyone else. The position I've been in has been less design and more project management/client relations, though. I'm happy to say that my new job will have me doing a lot more design again.
