It's not a minor proceedure, especially considering his already shakey physical condition. And there's a lot that can go badly, even if the surgery itself goes as planned. There's still a lot we don't know, and won't for some time, but the most directly dangerous part is done. Apparently those guys from Duke know how to do more than just play basketball.
