blacksun1520
Well, I'm not much of a customizer, but this is what I have done so far. Enjoy First is my Idea of what could be an MMMV exclusive one day, the 1st is with stars and the 2nd without: Next is a QC character that I created, Dr. Jonathan Glass. His torso, arms and head are from the AFX exclusive M. Bison; legs, feet and hands are from Kitty Pryde with the yellow paint removed; hair is from Raft Spidey; and the wrist bands from Chun Li: This is my attempt at a custom Symbiote Spidey, it needs some work: Here is an updated keychain mate. I removed the metal eye hook and replaced it with the peg from one of Invisible Woman's shields using some superglue: That's all for now, let me know what you think. blacksun1520
Well, I was bored at work the other day, and eating some Junior Mints and this is what I did rather than work:
BannersID
nice designs bs, send me a keychain please!
blacksun1520
nice designs bs, send me a keychain please! Thanks I would, but I don't really have any extra mates. It's pretty easy to make one if you have a mate with a hole in it's head and a shield to take the peg from. BS
jcastick
That's a cool Junior Mints design. They're delicious! They're very refreshing!
blacksun1520
Well, I've been meaning to work on this for a while now, but here is an updated Symbiote Spidey. I'm not 100% happy yet, the paint is kinda sloppy, and the color doesn't quite match, but I still think he looks kinda cool.
blacksun1520
Thought I'd wipe the dust off this thread and give it a little update. I've been wanting a glider for my Green Goblin, and I finally found something adequate. This is from the recent Batman Lego toys from McDonalds. I took 2 lego dots, and filed them down so they would be more flat, and super glued them to the top. Right now it's just colored with a silver sharpie, but the ink keeps rubbing off. I need to pick up some silver paint to take care of this. It needs a head on the front and I need to get my hands on a flight stand from the Throne Room set. Thoughts and coments welcome BS
Shup Dude
That Glider is sweet, nice! How'd you make the seperate LEGO dots? Or did you get them somewhere?
karamazov80
Looks pretty great! I need to do my own mod for a Green/Hobgoblin glider one of these days. . .and now I see the recipe for my awesome Santa gift, of course
blacksun1520
Thanks guys The dots are just seperate round little pieces that are available in lots of lego sets, see pic: I just filed off the bottom part of the dot below the ring. Shup Dude
Oh, those! I forgot about those pieces. Thanks, though.
blacksun1520
OK, here's the final product. I added a type of goblin head to the front to make it more comic acurate, cleaned off the marker and repainted it with actual paint Hope you like. blacksun1520
So, other than work, this is what has been taking up most of my time lately: This is my first project for school. It's obviously not minimate related at all, but I thought I'd share anyway. I think it looks pretty cool BS
blacksun1520
Here is a QC Bruce Lee I threw together I used Agent Zero's head, Invaders Namor's chest and arms, and black legs and feet. The hair is from BD Movie Hulk, I just trimed some of the hair in front and painted the ears. I just need to find or make some nunchucks BS
Bob Harris
You already mentioned you'd do this QC, right? Works pretty well, maybe one of the easiest and most effective quick changes. (Although that trimming and recoloring is a little more than the average QC ) Oh, and glad you're looking for nunchucks and not woodchucks! blacksun1520
Another photoshop assignment for school. Not minimate related, but it is comic book related Thought I'd share. BS
Chazwinski
Another photoshop assignment for school. Not minimate related, but it is comic book related Thought I'd share. BS Very cool. Although a movie about the "Screech" from Saved by the bell would REALLY give me nightmares forever.
blacksun1520
Thought I'd dust this off and share my promotional ad campaign I'm doing for a school project. Enjoy BS

NorthRaider
Oh man, I LOVE this series These kinda remind me of the old promotional posters Stikfas used to put out. Fun idea BS! Almost makes me want to try something like this myself! (Dangit, my Advertising geek past beckons to me again )
blacksun1520
Thanks minimadman, I think it's my favorite one too Glad I could inspire you NR, they were a lot of fun to make. Oh, and another big thanks to DSTChuck for getting me high res images of the logos! BS Edited December 11, 2009 by blacksun1520
