Tonight's episode was a great

re-introduction to Ellen Tigh

as well as a good start on explaining

the sequence of events with the 13th Colony, Final 5, and creation of the other 7 models

.

Looks like they're expanding the storyline of

the Galactica's damage and making that a plot line in itself.

Makes me wonder if the

Galactica will somehow be the final casualty of the series (a la ST: The Search for Spock)

Interesting insight into

Cavil

and his mindset.

I wonder where this

mystery cylon "Daniel"

is gonna come into play, if at all.

Funny how the PC guy from the PC vs Mac commercials made an appearance as the

brain specialist.

Next week appears to be another threat

to the cohesiveness of the fleet, with the threat that the Six and the final 5 cylons bugging out on their own

. The appearance of

Ellen on the Galactica

may suggest that

Cavil & friends may be re-doubling their efforts to find and engage

the fleet.

These new events may be part of the reconfiguration of the final waves of mates.

Wow, wow, wow!!! Now we're talking, finally we're getting some answers

and a little insight as to why the Cylon #s skip from 6 to 8...boxed #7:Daniel.

. If we get to see him, that's one more 'mate to add to the list! I absolutely loved that new intro. including the Razor Cylons; breathtaking! So much ground was covered just in the dialog of three characters, I found that quite impressive. I really don't know where to begin with this episode other than to say that it was excellent.

I'm seriously contemplating not watching anymore (yeah right) until the season is complete so I can watch it all uninterrupted by these grueling week-long waits. I've never had a t.v. series take hold of me like this one has. It's like I'm blindly-rushing through the week just to get my next fix on Friday night...sickening.

Well, i'm ten minutes into the episode. So far far, I LOVE IT; especially that new opening. But i just had to post this:

Ten minutes in on Sci Fi, they bring up the first commercial, aka: the Sponsor. The only part of the episode before that was

Ellen and Cavil talking and whatnot

and the spoiler happens to be Viagra. I'm sorry, but that's even funnier then the KFC and

Dead Dee

commercial. I literally was on the floor laughing. :)

Looks to be promising; can't wait to finish.

What's funny is I always thought Cylons were Macs. Who knew?

Nope... http://www.alienware.com/products/desktop-computers.aspx

As many bad reviews as I've read, I still really want that casing (with red LEDs!). B)

Having thoroughly enjoyed the latest episode last night I came to a conclusion that will perhaps be ridiculed.....who cares we'll all know soon... :D

Maybe the Galactica itself is the dying leader that will lead them to Earth . The ship is 'dying' maybe it itself is a hybrid, maybe the last cylon?

I'd have a hard time discounting any theories at this point, Hell anything's possible!

The "old girl" is about to get a Cylon technology make-over after all...hmmm.

And even if it isn't, I've never had so much fun theorizing, being proven wrong, theorizing again about any show in my life. Fantastic writing! If people aren't convinced of this now, then they most certainly will be in years to come. This series has definitely cemented itself in sci-fi history as far as I'm concerned. I pity those poor BSG-purists (I used to be one!) that have dismissed this series as they have no idea what they are missing! The original still holds a special place in my heart, but there is simply no comparison.

I watched the original BSG when it came out - I was a wee lad, and as an adult I couldn't remember any of it. So these past few weeks I've started rewatching it via Hulu. And to my surprise, I'm really enjoying it. Sure, the effects are dated and the show is incredibly sexist, but it still makes for a decent action/adventure series. I also enjoy the parallels to the new series, and I wonder if the new series will somehow make it so that the original show was one of the 'cycles' - as in, "all of this has happened before and all of this will happen again."

The original is still surprisingly-good, and I quite enjoy them both equally (though on completely different levels). Nothing thrilled me more than that attack-sequence in "Razor"; I jumped off the couch a cheered (fortunately no one was there to ridicule me)! I, too, am hoping for somewhat of a cohesion of the two shows if for no other reason than to 1) shup-up the purists that bemoan the new and 2) introduce fans of the new to the source material from which this incredible epic got it's inspiration. There's room for both in my universe.

I still harbor fantasies of a clash between the new Cylons

who seem to little-by-little be blurring the battle-lines

and the off-shoot "Guardians" having a conflict of interest. How cool would it be to see a "Razor" Guardian throwing-down against a modern Cylon Centurian ?!? While I doubt that anything like this will actually happen in this series (just a fun visual-image I'm throwing out there), it is what is happening on my computer desk right now in 'mate-form! :D

* Though I can't seem to make up my mind on who would win!

OMG that'd be so awsome. And the Guardians would win, since they can actually talk. And talking robots are cool. :)

I'm going back and reading, and find some of these points interesting, especially BHM and your

Galactica is the dying (Cylon) leader. Wouldn't it be totally awsome if somehowDaniel was "a part of Galactica," or connected in some way?? that'd be pretty interesting, though i can't really see it happening or see how it'd happen.

;) I still want to know more about Daniel, however, because i find a lot of qualities that, after hearing about him, he and i share. I mean, we're both artists, i would get along great with Ellen if she were real, and i'd probably be boxed for being incredibly flawed. And while we're on the topic of Ellen, that was one of the coolest endings i've seen from BSG in a while, aside from that Death-to-Gaeta one. I mean, really?? Sharon "Boomer" Valerii has a heart?? Who knew?? XD Cavil (or John, lol) will be pissed though; i can just his little old head start spewing steam now that his victim is no longer aboard. and lastly, on the John subject: So Ellen made him in the image of her father, right?? So she and Cavil had an affair because Ellen is a...well, you know, right?? So she and her "father" kinda...wow. That's really creepy, even for BSG...

Kinda rambled there, but i had a lot to say...;)

Zak,was Adama's other son.

As crazy as my theory is...... & I'm sure we'll look back on my posts here with hilarity.....the more I think about it the more you can mould the plot around it . If what I'm suggesting is true  then it really would scupper AA's chances of giving us the last Cylon for a start . The technology for the Cylon Raiders also comes into the equation ....who flew the first one back to the Galactica ;) .....who also flew the Viper that returned in

brand-new condition

?

Maybe I'm not so mad after all :yes:

Anybody watch the Oscars? Anybody hear Philip Glass' Metamorphosis (one or five, can't really remember) during one of the awards? (Montage of the Oscar nominated documentaries) Anybody ever see the episode "Valley of Darkness?" Do you also remember the music Starbuck's father played? I thought it was kinda neat, and I felt like a super BSG geek to be able to point it out. The album is called Solo Piano if anybody wants to hear it.

Ooh... neat! My brother's turned into something of a Philip Glass geek since two of his "favorite" movies (both Oscar bait) contained scores by the guy.

I'll probably wind up more of a John Cage kinda geek. Or maybe just a Radiohead one.

Ok, I didn't comment on last week's episode (though it was very good with

the triangle between Saul, Ellen, and Natalie. Shame about the miscarriage, but I think that it would have thrown a few things outt'a whack had it been successful

), but tonight's? That was some twisted shit executed by

Boomer and Galen...WOW. Some nice little interspection with Starbuck, but we still don't know what she is or how Hera was able to perceive the notes in the form of a star-chart and just what is the significance of that particular melody? So, I wonder what Cavil's got cooking in that devious melon of his and what role Hera will finally play?

Just three more episodes and I simply cannot imagine how they are going to be able to tie this all up especially with all of the seizure-inducing character/plot flips occurring at such break-neck speeds. Will it end on a bang or a whimper? As much as I absolutely love this show, I'm a bit exhausted at the moment.

There still seems to be an exceptional amount of scenes where Adama inspects the ship ..... why?

I'm not totally convinced that the baby miscarried.OK I know what we were shown but is Doc.Cottle protecting his patient(s)?

Something needs to help draw this show to a satisfactory conclusion ....& soon.

I think I know where you're going with this. ;)

It does seem like each week they keep compounding the questions by answering one and creating three more. As cool as it all is, it does seem like they've really got their work cut-out for them. These events seem like they should've been occurring at the beginning of season 4 (when they had more time to explore) rather than three episodes from the finale.

It seems like they keep adding conflicts, instead of resolving. The addition of the

Hera/Music

and

Hera Kidnapping

as well as the unresolved

Starbuck

issue are only a few things. Obviously this

Galactica on its last legs

is another thread and there's still the conflict with

Cavil, Simon, Doral cylon models

. And let's not forget the

13th colony

and

Daniel (the mystery boxed cylon).

.

Instead of getting more clear, it's getting a lot more complicated
