MisterPL
Did anyone hold out buying the second set because it didn't include Rodan?
Zak Katz
Mecha Godzilla was to cool to pass up for me. Hedorah was a pleasant surprise. Don't care or need Jet Jaguar. Godzilla looks weird displayed next to his fellow Godzilla. I hope we get a Rodan, and some wings for Mothra like the ones shown at NYCC...? Trekker 42
I haven't bought it yet because finances. But when I do I'll probably use the second Godzilla as a Fake Godzilla like from Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla.
Glantern
I didn't buy the first set, but I jumped at the second. Mecha and Jet Jaguar in the same set really sold me!
bigvis497
That guy on the left might be a good start for a Man Thing custom.
hellpop
I've thought that, but looking closer they really don't match up much at all. What a tease! I went back to the comics store where I bought the first set, and apparently they didn't order the second. I'll pick it up from Luke eventually. I'd be disappointed if we don't get any more, even though I'm not a big Godzilla fan. Still want Gamera though.
Shanester
I got these without a second thought. I hope there are more because IMO we still need King Ghidorah and Rodan, at the very least.
bigvis497
I've thought that, but looking closer they really don't match up much at all. What a tease! I was just talking about the hands and feet.
SCW
Finally got my Amazon set!
arnim zola
Zach I would buy a few cases of Godzilla blind bags if that's how we keep this going.
MisterMiracle
I'd go for that as well.
Mystery Man
I bought 4 or 5 of each boxed set to support the line. I'd do most anything to get more characters. Even *ugh* blind bags.
DSTZach
I think the issue is tooling, not format. Chuck just said he was considering it.
youbastards
For what it's worth, if the line continues I really want a more monstrous looking Godzilla. His face, arms, and legs should all be bulked up. Third row, 2nd color photo is what I want to see. Blind bags might be the way to go with this line, especially if multiple color variants of the monsters could help recoup tooling costs. I would love translucent versions of these guys, even if there is nothing from the movies to warrant them. Trans-black Hedorah Trans-yellow King Ghidorah Trans-green or blue Godzilla etc... Trekker 42
Hell you could immediately do b/w versions of Godzilla and Angurius immediately. And damn do I want a GMK white eyes Gojira. Edited April 23, 2015 by Trekker
MisterMiracle
Yeah, I think blind bags with different variations (black & white, translucent, battle damaged, etc.) might be the way to go to keep the line going while reusing molds to keep tooling costs down. hailtotheking
I would hope at the very least we get one more box set with Rodan in it.
arnim zola
I knew it was tooling concerns, but there are benefits to blind bags in what it can accomplish that 4 packs can't.
DSTZach
If people aren't buying them when they can see them, I'm not sure they'd buy more sight unseen. If there were enough variations we could do with the current tooling, maybe that would be an easier call than tooling up a new assortment, butt I'm not sure what tutors of variants would get approved. Not all of these characters appeared in black and white, and I'm not sure what the deal is with sofubi-type colorations, but Ask DST! MisterMiracle
I feel like Godzilla would be more popular than Mass Effect, Aliens, or Predators as blind bags.
Zak Katz
I feel like Godzilla would be more popular than Mass Effect, Aliens, or Predators as blind bags. Agreed. Zach was TRU not interested in these?
arnim zola
I don't see why black and white variants would be a problem even if they never appeared that way, I've certainly never read a walking dead comic that was in color. And blind bag collectors have what we call the "sickness" they can't stop till they get the one they want. I certainly have it. 6-8 characters, a few b&w variants per case and a 1 per case neon/translucent/Glow in the dark variants. Endless possibilities as far as I can see. The king of the monsters has over 30 films. I really do understand tooling and all the business side stuff but this line has so much potential I don't want to see it over after a few months of being released. MisterPL
Blind bagging certainly isn't helping quality control issues. Does anyone here really want a pink Godzilla?
