  1. I'm only two episodes in, liking what I've seen so far. I don't think we've had a definitive Punisher minimate yet. Best Of 2 is good but too blue. Thunderbolts is nice for the leather jacket look. The upcoming one looks like it will be one of my favorites.
  2. Yeah, Spider-Slayers don't do much for me either. I went with Beetle and it wasn't really close since if we get Boomerang or another Shocker I'd much prefer modern looks. Still, I would buy any of those except for Madame Web, never really cared for that character.
  3. Is the difference in color between Professor X's jacket and arms that noticeable in person?
  4. Are there any new parts for the Kenner Predators? I liked the idea after seeing NECA's take on the concept but those figures aren't doing much for me.
  5. That boxset looks pretty easy to skip.
  6. It will take more than Bendis leaving to make me feel good about Marvel but it's a nice thing to see anyway. Hopefully DC keeps him in check. And seeing Kostis rip Bendis makes me happy.
  7. Doh! Guess I should have waited. Also, does TRU have any idea what they're doing?
  8. My thinking as well, he's more versatile in a display.
  9. If these couldn't sell as solicited I can't imagine many people are going to sign up for paying even more. I'm still curious what the preorder numbers would have looked like if everyone had preordered who was planning on getting these. No doubt a lot of us thought they were a safe bet. If we were that far short of the numbers maybe it doesn't matter.
  10. I think DCC has changed things around too much to lay it all at Mattel's feet. The writing has been on the wall for quite a while now with most figures not moving until they are significantly discounted. They've also dropped accessories between soliciting and releasing figures making preordering less attractive. It seems more like a management freakout than anything else.
  11. This is one of the few things I wouldn't blame Mattel for. I think DCC is making it clear that they're considering figures as not much more than an afterthought now. It's too bad because at their best they are as good as anyone. Still, people won't buy if they don't feel like they're getting a good value and most of these figures don't feel like a great value at the suggested retail price.
  12. I would be more interested in this than most of the missed characters. DST didn't really get Iron Man right until Avengers, well, excluding the Mk 1.
  13. I had the same issue with Hela. For my figure it the problem seemed to be that the peg in the hair was crooked. I trimmed it down some and was able to get the hair to sit flush against the top of the head. Found the Walgreens wave today. I like the Thor and Grandmaster. Loki is decent enough for what he is though he's kind of dying for an accessory of some sort. Skurge is just disappointing. No weapons and poor design make for a mediocre minimate.
  14. Yes, all the shows would definitely be improved by including more boring connective tissue to absolutely prove they're connected. That would be totally worthwhile.
  15. Personally, I think things are consistent enough to consider the connectedness more than just PR. I don't want the movie equivalent of a recap page on everything to prove that they really fit together. I have zero interest in Daredevil and Foggy talking about the impact of the Accords on his vigilante status.
  16. Spider-Man 2099 looks very nice. The arm spikes make a big difference.
  17. Great mod for Skurge, those boots help a lot. Even just adding a chest riser makes a difference. It's too bad they're needed to begin with.
  18. Not real impressed with Skurge, that chest piece is kind of awkward and makes him look fat. Seems like an odd design choice. The pack really looks empty without any weapons. The others look better better. I feel like I'm going to need to take a scorecard into the store to minimize buying doubles.
  19. I don't think there's any maybe about this, it seems to be cold, hard fact.
  20. I saw this thread before the TMNT news and I was confused, now I get it. That news has me a little shook. Looking at everything besides Marvel I certainly feel uneasy and even Marvel seems a bit less confident than it's been in the past.
  21. I finished the series last night. While I didn't have as many problems with the pacing of the other series (besides Jessica Jones) as some people I'd agree that this is very good on that point. There are some episodes where they kind of take a breath but it doesn't feel like stretching things out. The characters were true to what we've already seen and I liked the way they played off each other, Danny especially. I liked the overall plot though I think some of the details about the Hand and their plan feel a bit like a retcon, as in I'm sure what we saw onscreen isn't what they were thinking of in season one of Daredevil, assuming they had any real plans at all. The action is good even if it doesn't quite match the best of Daredevil. I guess I understand DST skipping minimates for the show but it's a shame to miss out on so many villains.
  22. I think Red Queen's hair for Leader would look kind of weird. It's almost there but not quite. Half of the U-Foes wouldn't require any new parts: Vector would be a heck of a complicated tampo though. X-Ray would definitely be a visually interesting minimate depending on how they chose to adapt the details. Translucent purple plastic would be a must.
  23. I can't believe I forgot this guy on my original list: Spot could be packed with two heads, one for the look above and another with a more normal face. He would definitely need to come with a black base.
  24. Assuming you want this look: He could be made from existing parts if the belt was a tampo instead of being sculpted. I think sculpted would be slightly better. Great idea for Rick Jones as a BAF, that would be perfect.
