    TRU 19

Wow I had no idea there were members this close by. Now I know my competition. Lol! Yeah I have been going by the store daily to try to find them, and on Monday they said they had a shipment that might have them today. It was odd how they placed them so high up on the shelf. I almost missed them too!
  2. New 'Alien' movie confirmed to be in the works! Blomkamp is directing! http://variety.com/2015/film/news/new-alien-movie-confirmed-at-fox-with-director-neill-blomkamp-1201436551/

    TRU 19

YES!!! I found them! The Pleasant Hill, CA TRU still as two full sets of each and TONS of Iron Man/Ronan packs left over. There were 8 IM/R, 6 Spidey/Mysterio, 3 Wolverine/Sentinel, and 2 Quicksilver/Vision when I got there. Seems like these are far more abundant than past waves. Good sign going forward.
  4. Toyark posted a list of everything at the DST booth. They listed The Walking Dead Series 8. I can't wait to see those!
  5. I just don't think it's the kind of show for me (as I'm not a big fan of formulaic crime dramas). I mean, I love Agents of Shield and I know so many people who HATE that show. Different strokes, I guess...
  6. Just my two cents: I watched he first 5 episodes and hated every hour of it. Cheap winks at the camera to comic fans in the midst of a fairly stale crime drama just don't do it to me. I'll wait to see the 'Mates themselves before I decide whether or not I'll buy them, but based on the concept alone it's a pass for me.
  7. 1. I can't wait to see what this license has in store! The amount of different Predators we can get is so big. 2. YES!!! I have been hoping to get this news on the Power loader/ Queen since SDCC when I asked Chuck about it at the panel and he have an optimistic "Maybe". 3. That sounds like a pretty solid box set for a movie like "Ant-Man"!
  8. They're Jaws Reaction figures. Quint, Hopper, Brody, and Bruce are all part of the line. I can't wait for those!!!
  9. Ugh...why? I haven't never disliked a TV show more than Gotham.
  10. I would say that's the safest bet. I'd love to see those happen too!
  11. Star Wars...Star Wars...Star Wars...Star Wars....Star Wars.... Please Zach...
  12. I'm split on this. On one hand, I like the fact that 50 years of history wasn't flushed down the toilet. On the other, this seems VERY convoluted. I suppose it all comes down to how they execute the story, but this is not looking good to me. Just watching the live stream showed that the creative team is kinda making it up as they go along. I mean, all the teasers that they have released are supposed to mix together to form our single new MARVEL Universe. That seems very complicated and unattractive to readers, new and old. Part of me wishes they had just done a hard reboot. Now I am probably on the younger side of most fans, so I didn't grow up in the silver age. I did however grow up reading the silver age comics. I've been collecting The Amazing Spider-Man with my dad for over 10 years and we almost have the full run. Looking at all the comics I have reminds me how I miss the silver age type stories. I'd love to get back to basics and reintroduce the "villain of the month" style of storytelling. I'm tired of monthly events that constantly "change the universe", and I'm tired of radical changes to characters. I'm all for natural story progression, but at this point MARVEL doesn't feel like MARVEL anymore. It's at the point where I don't even recognize Peter Parker as a character. He's lost his charm (and that's not due to Slott, I've actually liked his run), and he doesn't stand up for the day-to-day goings on of New York. If a cold reboot is what is need to tell quality stories about the characters we all grew up with, then I would welcome it with open arms. Perhaps Secret Wars is the answer, but I don't have high hopes. I'll give MARVEL this one, last chance. As much as it pains me to say it, I don't think I can go through another disappointing storyline. Spidey has shaped me as a person, so I hope they do him right and do some great stuff with this new universe.
  13. I don't know, I feel like a lot of that is just the fact that they're all friends. There doesn't ever seem to be malicious intent behind it. They're just a bunch of middle-aged geeks spouting off insults at one another in a comic shop. Plus it's a TV show. They take weeks of footage and put in the "funny" parts (i.e. The 10 times over a few month period that Bry or Walt pick on Ming).
  14. From today's Ask DST: "DSTChuck: Ant-Man will get some Minimates love." YES!!!!
  15. Kevin's lost A LOT of weight over the past couple of months. I think this figure represents his current weight well.
  16. My first comic was a reprint of 'The Amazing Spider-Man' #3. It was published in 2004 and given away at Best Buy stores to promote the release of Spider-Man 2. I had already been a fan of Spider-Man though the movies and action figures, but this really cemented my love for the character. From then on I got new issues weekly, and started to try to get the full run. (I have just about 40 issues left to get EVERY issue).
  17. It's not my favorite Kevin Smith movie, but I thought it was pretty decent. I agree about the tone. It needed to be more fluid. The jumps between suspense, comedy, and horror were pretty jarring.
  18. Well... You sure put a lot of thought into that. I agree though.
  19. If BB-8 has actually rolling functionality, then I would have no problem paying full price.
  20. Darn! As cool as some of those AXIS characters may be, I was really hoping for a Spider-Verse wave. The Inheritors are such interesting villains and there are some great Spidey variations that have yet to be done.
  21. Those are all very good points! I do the same thing with updates on figures.
