Yeah I'm pretty bummed about Sauron. He's been on my most wanted list since I started collecting. It's cool were finally getting one but I'm bummed he's not the iconic version. And he seems like the kind of character we're only gonna get once. Come to think of it, for a character that looks so cool and toy-friendly, he's been surprisingly unrepresented in action figure form. I don't think he's ever had a Marvel Legend or Universe figure, pretty sure that ToBiz X-Men figure we got waaaaaaay back at the beginning of that line is the only representation he's ever had.

I have no interest whatsoever in larger Minimates.

I never had a problem with Hank's appearances in the earlier films as he has switched in and out of his Beast forms in the comics. He's also used disguises when making public appearances. That one's easy to explain.

Impossible Man can multiply, so him being an army builder isn't completely unreasonable, but if you're gonna go the wave 43 route where he takes Aunt May's spot, I guess the army builder could be an alien the FF usually fight. Maybe a Kree soldier with a different rank/color?

I started collecting in the beginning of 2012. I only collect Marvel and I'm currently at just over 200. I don't really collect the older stuff, with the exception of a select few. I consider the start of the "modern minimate style" the wave that started putting the control art on the boxes. So everything from about wave 20 and on is on my checklist. I also don't buy movie stuff or Ultimate stuff, personal preference. That said I started buying tons of stuff from Amazon with free super saver shipping. Then when I got here people have helped me out with older stuff. My TRU is pretty good about getting new stuff so I've picked up new exclusives as they come out and I keep an eye out for sales. As my collection got bigger, I started buying large lots off eBay and keeping the ones I need while selling off the duplicates. There have been times where I have actually gotten paid to get new mates with this method. So I'm about halfway to where I need to be after a year of collecting. There's some stuff out there that I know will be difficult to get this late in the game (Champions, Angel/Warpath, Wave 29) but patience is key.

I really wish Sauron would get some pectoral definition. He looks really odd without a chest.

It's basically an updated version of the modular armor. The Extremis armor was good at everything, the logic behind this suit is that if Tony needs an armor that's really, really strong he uses this armor. All power would be focused on strength and not flight speed, stealth, etc. Basically he plans his missions ahead for what type of additions to the modular armor he will need. Hopefully we get some cool attachments with this.

What's the floaty robot head thing behind Hulk? The floating thing is ROB (Recording Observation Bot) Pretty bummed there's no new characters here, I'm probably gonna skip on these. Hopefully there's some cool new accessories for those who want these.

I think it's more a case of Marvel playing it so close to the vest that they're afraid to take any risks whatsoever, everything must be an Avengers, X-Men, Wolverine, Spider-Man title, etc. I'm not so sure a guest appearance by Wolverine in say..... Thunderbolts increases sales. Compared to the 90s where Wolverine would show up in an issue of Terror Inc and give sales a small boost. I do agree with what you're getting at though and it's a big reason I dropped all Marvel titles years ago.

Really? How are those packaged? I can see how minimates can be easily tampered with since the packaging is just sealed with tape, but aren't wrestling figures carded?

Hmmmm.... I'm gonna have to go to my TRU tomorrow and start tipping displays over in hopes of finding a Bullseye/Moonstone or Angel/Warpath

I am not a happy customer. These finally arrived at my TRU. They had two sets, so of course I picked one up. When I opened it, the Scarlet Witch looked off. Upon closer inspection, it was the old Scarlet Witch. Looking even closer, I realized that somebody also took her hex hands. Now I'm really angry. So I drive all the way back to exchange it for the other one I saw, hoping that everything was legit. Luckily I had no problems exchanging. And fortunately everything was correct in the other set. These only came out this week, so I asked the employee if they recall anybody exchanging minimates. Not surprisingly they didn't know. Normally I would let this slide and trust karma to take care of things, but this is not the first time this happened to me. I picked up the Thing/Human Torch pack a while back and somebody took the belt off of Thing and exchanged the exclusive Torch head for the Invaders version. Unfortunately I had to bite the bullet on that one because they only had one. So yeah, I still have an incomplete set there. If I find this person..... You don't F with a man's wife, you don't F with a man's dog, and you don't F with a man's minimates!

Yessssssss! And if they really needed another set for some reason, you could add some spice to that stew with a Jarvis! I like how DST "tries harder" with civilian type mates to overcome their toy-unfriendly nature. I could see Jarvis having a hand like the wave 47 Colossus to hold a serving tray, tea kettles, food, vacuum, the apron from puppet master, AVENGERS ID CARDS!

Does anybody else have a Shaman that's enormous? Like, freakishly larger then other Minimates? Even without the tall boots and the belt, he stands just as high as a mate with normal feet. I'll see if I can get some pics. I remember having the same problem with some of the MAX stuff, seems like the legs were cast from a different mold.

I may be a rare breed in that I loved both the post-Liefeld X-Force and the Milligan/Allred stuff. Hated the initial black and grey version, however I found Remender's Uncanny X-Force pretty enjoyable.

I would much rather just get a Brotherhood of Mutants set. Aren't rights issues for animated versions of Marvel characters much different anyway?

There's still seven new figures for the TRU wave yet to be announced. Why would it be 7 instead of 8? Did I miss something?
