Despite the fact that 'Fat Ol' Scotty' is the variant in this set, technically meaning that there will be 4 times as many Borg/Picard sets , my money is on the Borg/Picard set to be the one fetching the money on ebay...& soon. Can't see too many customisers using the FOS variant unless they're 'doing' me

Lovely little cherry red number with a 1300 engine in Elementary my dear Watson! Minis ,strangely enough,were once a passion of mine ,I even raced Mini Sevens in the Eighties. Although it's not my day to day vehicle ,I have a Mk.3, 'S' replica which I've converted to a 1385 ! Minis to Minimates ...funny ol' world innit? Glad to have you on board.

Yeah - I got the same "Dear John" e-mail from BBTS - I can't say that this comes as a surprise... I was actually surprised to see them in BBTS catalog to begin with. Strangely enough when I read my email it was no surprise to me either.

A terrific bargain & of course I'm pleased for you. I had similar good fortune in Sam Goody's in San Diego & whilst it's good news in the short-term for Minimate collectors ,I wonder if it's good news in the long-term. If they didn't sell these Minimates what's the chances of future 'retail' exclusives being stocked? :sad:

Titanic Minimates? I suppose a C3 'Iceberg' set would be as interesting , think of how much fun that would be to put together probably as much fun as Artasylum.com which has thrilled me(?) . The current Angel puppet article in particular in Artasylum.com prompts me to publish my previously 'dumped' picture of DST Matt & the puppet at SDCC....... it's a poor photo ,so guess which is the puppet ?. Anyway ,apart from a couple of overpriced items on obscure retail booths,there was diddly regarding Kubricks. Diamond had a set of Halo on display & a poster depicting the upcoming 'Lost' kubricks.....that was it.

I read somewhere else that someone only saw the "variant" packs at their game store. I wonder about the actual rarity of the pink ones. . . I need to strike soon on these 'K' & ,as of now, we (especially me) are unsure which is the variant? Pink or Purple? Whilst trawling the bay (eBay) I noticed the asking price of the 'Black Set'

My first non-on-line purchase of Minimates(ever) was performed on the 29th July 2008 at Sam Goody in down-town San Diego. What did I buy? Every bleeding one of the SS/Hobgobs on their shelves at $3.29 each. Lord forgive me for I hath scalped.

I saw the X-Files movie in San Diego & I was very disappointed. OK if it was an episode from the 'Series' it would have shined (shone?)but as a movie....ordinary. I have always been an X-Files nut but after all the expectation this was underwhelming although worth watching. Billy Connolly should stick to being a poor comedian who swears a lot.
