LoL! I was watching some of the new Avengers cartoons. I saw Typhoid Mary, Hercules, Ghost, Ares and a few others. I wouldn't mind getting Typhoid Mary, Ghost and an Ares re-do. That mate looks great but is too expensive on the secondary market.

I don't normally engage in these types of conversations due to how my demographic (White male between 20 and 40) is demonized for speaking their mind. But, here goes! I get the point you're making about the "naturally occuring skin tone"; however, I think you may be playing devil's advocate. I think most people are pointing out the hypocrisy of the whole white washing Hollywood argument that is made. If a white actor is cast as any other nationality it's offensive and white washing. If any other nationality is cast as a white (not Albino or pigmentally augmented character in the case of Domino) it's considered groundbreaking and empowering. Oddly enough, I don't have any issues when a literary, not comic book, character is cast as any nationality or skin color so long as they fit the role and do a great job. Characters from books are described by the author but they don't already have an artist drawing them a certain way for years and years. Comic book characters have a look. They've been drawn as a certain way for many, many years. In this specific case, I don't mind. I've never (please don't hurt me) been a huge X fan outside of the core team. The timelines get wonky and there's a million X spinoffs. But I also didn't mind Michael Clarke Duncan as the Kingpin. I didn't mind Billy Dee Williams as Harvey Dent. I was saddened to hear the Internet cry foul at the casting of Iron Fist. the hypocrisy is what upsets me. And from what I've read in this thread, that seems to be the recurring theme.

My wishlist reads like a 90s love letter. Darkhawk, Nightwatch, Slapstick, Sleepwalker, Rage, Night Thrasher, Nightmare, Baron Mordo, Count Nefaria, Shriek, Demogoblin, Doppleganger, Cardiac, the Wrecking Crew, Devil Slayer, High Evolutionary, Paladin. Then there's the guys like Baron Blood, Death's Head I and II, Deathlok, Coldblood, Beetle, Spot. On the xmen side I'd wanna see the Hellfire Club, Maverick, Bonebreaker. I never thought about the legs that this line has, but sheesh, I could keep going and going.

It's no secret that I have a love for all things asgardian, so it's not much of a surprise that I love this Skurge. I think it will fit in very well after I switch out his arms for some bare arms and maybe add a riser to make him taller. I've also thought about giving him some x3 juggernaut boots for additional bulk. Skurge is one of those characters that I've never been sure about how big his minimate should be. He's bigger than Thor and not as big as the Hulk, but he's been drawn to be as big as the Thing. I think the chest piece gives him that good middle of the road bulk. I can't wait to get my hands on these! @Dave I'll be buying one of those axes from you soon! Awesome job!

Yeah, I just couldn't handle a third Kitty Pride or a fourth Rogue before I got a first Ulik. I can dig that people want those costumes but I would much prefer getting unmade characters before I got an already released character's unmade costume. I know that kitbashing and customizing is always possible, but the characters I've been longing for don't really have any pre-made parts that look like theirs. Ulik, Malekith, Death's Head, Deathlok, Gor, Gladiator (x-men or Daredevil), Darkhawk, Nightwatch, Cardiac, Slapstick, and the list goes on and on. I think that's why I enjoy the Animated waves so much. We're seeing some brand new, unmade characters that we've not seen before. Sure, there are some re-releases but they're necessary because they're first time releases in the animated style. Anywho, give me classics or give me modern as long as they're new, unmade characters.

As someone who has used the secondary market, mainly eBay, to purchase a lot of my collection that I missed out on I can appreciate people wanting things remade. Hell, I paid waaaaaaaaaay too much for Martian Manhunter than I should have. But, thanks to someone on this board, I paid waaaaaaaaaaaaay too little for my Gambit/Psylocke than I should have. I know the struggle of important characters costing an arm and a leg on the after market. I hope the hunt goes well!

I bought one off of shapeways from Dave and I still haven't painted it. Still looks damn fine!

As sad as it is to say, I don't have an Abomination other than the movie version. So, I'll gladly take this one. If I switch out the thigh covers to something matching his skin tone I think he'll look groovy. Damn stoked to get Medusa. I really hope we see some more of the royal family. Now if only I can find a Lockjaw at a decent price.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't saddened that it turned out to be Surtur instead of Ulik. But, I'm praying like Hel that he shows up one day. He still looks amazing. Now I need to find a way to bulk up some Frost Giants. I really like the Cap costume that we're getting, and Hulk looks great. The Red King's design looks pretty fun.
