I'd love to see episode specific box sets instead of waves, IF the waves are going to be so spread out and in doubt after each consecutive release. As an example, there could be an "Encounter at Farpoint" 4-pack, Picard(anchor figure), Q in robes, Yar, Geordi(1st season), with extra parts to make, say, Q in Starfleet uniform. Seems these would have just as much chance as 8-figure waves, and we could still get unique figures. Plus the option of different stores having shared exclusives much like the Enterprise ship, staggered quarterly, would be a substantial number of figures per year. Currently, if wave 2 doesn't finish any Next Generation crew or other series even, I'm not sure we'll ever see them.

Which begs the question - how do you do a Bajoran minimate when mini mates don't have noses...?

Star Blazers is the only anime-ish series I would have any interest in whatsoever. Now if we were talking animation in general, Hanna Barbera characters would rock as minimates.

I would imagine clear paint (color appropriate to the specific character), applied in streaks to this would look fantastic. Nice work as usual!

On the website, the minimates aren't showing up as clearance unless they were previous clearance. The coupon only works on those, not the current markdowns. They aren't in the clearance section on the site either. Are we certain this isn't just a limited markdown/sale and not clearance inventory? Plus, why is Wolvie/Reaper a dollar more? Maybe it's the adamantium.

I don't know how expansive the license is, but has any future thought been given to "Kenner-izing" some Aliens down the road? I know I've already got my extra Battle Beasts Spiders and Scorpions to make some hybrids.

Out of all the action figure toy lines at TRU, the only ones I really see new items stocked with each new release and continuously sold thru are either TMNT or minimates. Maybe the constant minimate sellouts are making the pegs get cold and TRU wants to warm them up with whatever latest wave one 5POA excrement Hasbro shoves down their throat, doomed to live there for at least a year on the same pegs.

I hope it's a chestbursting kind of colonist....

For a little variety, I swapped out the blue body on the new Heavy Assault SHIELD Agent with the black body from the trench coat Wolverine 2 figure. Also, Chris Redfield and Superior Spider-Ock have hair with radio mouthpieces that work well with the agents.

Love seeing the control art with THREE Colonial Marines! Bring them on!

i usually just paint the base coat silver, then paint over that with transparent red. The same technique with transparent yellow gives a nice metallic gold effect too.

Kmart also has them for $19.99. Picked up a Sandtrooper and R2 there. I like them well enough, but disappointed they didn't go as all out with the accessories as they could have. The 3 3/4" Sandtrooper blaster actually has a folding stock where this one does not. Plus, what I wouldn't have given for just R2's head to pop off to store his stuff inside. Oh well. I've hesitated on the Pilot Luke simply because I hate the front neck peg showing the way it does. Always looks bad to me. Passed on Maul because, well... he's Maul. I'm sure they'll improve as the line continues, as long as it has some life in it past 3-4 waves.

Maybe a minor thing, but I believe the belts on Picard, Sisko & Janeway are all on backwards. The phaser peg should be on the side so the handle faces out opposite the "draw" hand, right? Not a big deal to switch, except my Janeway's belt has a deformed indention on the reverse side...

Found them today. They were on the Hasbro aisle, in-between Star Wars and Transformers, with the Star Trek Fighter Pod things.
