^You could look at it this way, you at least get votes as some don't get any! I'll also add that there is a master customizer on this board that hasn't won in four contests. You just never know. There are just a lot of different things that come into play when voters choose which custom they like. Besides detail, cleanliness, and complexity, it can be the very obscure to the very popular that can sway votes. Too many people try too much for the prizes, some that have won are shocked when they win. Remember contests are supposed to be fun!

Suggested retail prices for DC Minimates are $8.99 for a 2-pack same as Marvel Waves 12/13/14. So at this point they are the same. Comic shops did not like ordering the X3 mates, a friend had to buy a whole case. The price then drops for Marvel to $6.99 for Waves 15/16/17/18. Comic shops will continue to charge what they want.

Why Marvel did that? Because they've been fools since Quesada has been EIC.

I agree with you here, X-men without cyclops is like PB&J without the Jelly. But it wasn't Halle's fault, James Marsden was off filming Superman Returns so he had limited time which is why the made the decision to have him dissappear in the beginning. Plus, we don't know that Cyke was killed for sure....they never showed it I know James Mardsen was off to film Superman Returns so I'm not blaming Halle for him getting killed. I know that we never saw a body and can always make a return, we'll see. In the end, it ruined the movie for me. Back to Halle, she did ask for a bigger role, but I blame the writers. She stinks as storm as it is. I think FOX just messed up X3 for rushing it and making it happen with Ratner because Singer wanted to do Superman Returns first.

Yeah there's been a few members that have added various magnets to there minis, primarily SS and his board. Appreciate the exact measurements they'll come in handy.

I gave it a quick thought a while back since cons get boring after a few days. Has anyone here volunteered? How was your experience? Do you get training on the Evil Eye?

They said the first three planned waves are all TOS so I don't expect anything else. I so want mates from TNG, DS9, etc.. but we will have to wait for them. At this pace with dupes it'll be a long before we ever see them. I don't know about you guys but I get a sense of re-release when I see these first two waves because of the 3" mates. I would've liked for them to have started with TNG because it would be refreshing. I think Trek would have been better served as boxsets.

My vote goes to SM3 over X3. I'm not going to say it was better in everyway but to kill Cylops and give Storm/Halle a more involved role because she wanted it was really stupid; took it a big notch down for me. Cylops is the leader and it just didn't look right at all w/o him. Plus the last scene were Wolverine stabs Pheonix was kinda silly. The best parts for me was the Prof X transfer and Iceman turning into an ice cube.

Thanks for the heads up. I think they look cool, but Gorn with nostrils looks weird. Strange since Killer Croc doesn't have any. Looking forward to them all except for Battle Damage Kirk, just a waste of a spot for another character. For Trek I'd rather have new figs and avoid the doubles.

Officially they said that the Marvel Knights pack was possibly going to get released in the fall but it never happened. This is why I believe GR/DD made it into the Target rolling stock. As many toy hunters and ebay watchers as we have here it's very hard to believe these made it out without someone posting about them with pics. Until someone can furnish pics, I'm not going to be overly concerned about this news. Besides I think everyone is waiting for the Target Spidey packs, I want that Spider Armor minimate! My friend and I will keep on the look out. Went to 3 TRUs this past weekend to no avail. Edited
