Matty-lad's Star Trek customs
Captain Paco replied to Matty-lad's topic in Custom Creations & Artwork!
Really dig your "transporting" versions. I need to get them copied for my collection of customs. Also that Ensign Ro is great. Whose head did you use for her? -
I just got my replacement leg in the mail from DST. I am so happy that I now have a display complete with a complete Howard. Thank you, Customer Service at DST.

I sent my first e-mail to Customer Service at Diamond Select Toys on December 12th, 2014 which was the day I got my set delivered to me. I did not notice the broken leg until I was getting ready to open the package. His leg remained in the packaging after I took him out. So about two minutes after I sent the follow-up e-mail to Customer Service, Kelsey from DST replied and told me that they just got the parts and will be sending me a replacement part this afternoon. Wow, that was quick. She also told me that they did get my first e-mail and put me on a waiting list, so I have restored faith in the process at DST. Soon Howard will be able to stand on both legs next to his wife, Bernadette in my display case.

I was curious if anyone had ever dealt with DST customer service, how long does it take? I did email customer service but never heard anything back about my Howard's broken left leg. What should I do next?

Pathfinder minimates!-First box set revealed
Captain Paco replied to Kostisfire's topic in Indie Comics Minimates
I got my order from MovieMars today. I got my three Konkrud Goblins and my three Munchkin Goblin Hirelings. I really wanted Dogslicer and the Promo Goblin so I could have them on display with my Box Set and the 4 Two-packs I have for display. I have one of each of the Dogslicer and Promo but I wanted to have one of each to open and display. I hope that Paizo will get them in some fashion without altering them. I would really like to have then for my display at my office. -
I would like to see a "Through the Ages" set for Spider-man, Cyclops, Professor X, Magneto, Storm, Beast, Cable and Thor. My idea for Thor would be King Thor, Unworthy Thor, female Thor and Loki as the God of Thunder. For Spider-man: Do him in updated versions of any of his past mates but give a uniform specific accessory. Spider-Noir, Spider-ham, Spider-Gwen, and Iron-Spidey. For Cyclops: Civilian Scott Summers, X-mask Cyclops, More accurate Phoenix Five uniform, Cyclops in brown leather jacket. However, I have a dream of getting a Through the Ages Sets for Star Trek (but I know this will never really happen). 1) Kirk: first episode uniform, Romulan undercover, Kirok, and Old Kirk (from when he was affected by the aging virus) 2) Spock: A Piece of the Action, Star Trek IV attire, in Motion Picture Uniform (ST1), and environmental suit from Tholian Web. 3) Scotty: Mirror Mirror Uniform, Motion Picture Uniform (ST1), as seen on TNG "Relics" and in dress uniform (with kilt as seen on TOS) 4) Riker: Season One uniform of TNG, As seen in Last TNG movie, Admiral Riker and from the episode of "Angel One". 5) Troi: Season One miniskirt uniform from TNG, As seen in Last TNG movie, As seen on the episode of Menage a Troi, and as a Romulan. 6) Picard: as Dixon Hill, as Robin Hood, as Galen and in Dress Uniform. So I slowly work on customizing all the ones I am able and dream for the day they are officially made by DST.

Pathfinder minimates!-First box set revealed
Captain Paco replied to Kostisfire's topic in Indie Comics Minimates
I just got a notice from MovieMars.com that part of my order was refunded to me. I ordered ten goblins. I placed an order for three Konkrud, three Munchkin, two Goblin Promo and two Dogslicer. My refund was for the two Goblin Promo and two Dogslicer. I will be getting three Konkrun and three Munchkin. I am a little upset because I placed my order on January 8th and it has been longer than 3 - 7 business days before I heard anything back. I will have to see about finding the two goblins I am not getting from MovieMars, but Paizo should know that I am very upset with them for not following up about their promise to post the goblins sooner and letting another company sell them so much later than the event they were available at. Thank you for letting me vent! -
First Minimate (If you can remember)
Captain Paco replied to Gmonkey2k's topic in Crisis of Infinite Minimates
My first Minimates were the 3" Star Trek mates. I found them at Target and so I bought one of each of the six. I then found that they were also available at TRU so I went there and got them each in a tube. About a week later I returned to get another set at Target to open. I even tracked down and got four of the Kirk with Tribbles Exclusive 3" mate so I could open one. My 6 yr old god son loved playing with them under my supervision. I eventually got him a complete set. Then a few years later, I got his little brother a set as well. They never liked the 2" versions. I was never planning to get any other Minimates, but then the 3" Trek mates were cancelled and then the 2" line came out and I got two every set they came out with and eventually got triples and more. It started me on my path to having an obsession with Minimates and Customizing Unmade Trek characters and variations. -

I finally bit the bullet and signed up for this. I figured if I like this then I may sign up for Secret Santa in 2015 as well. -

I just placed my order with MovieMars.com. I got ten total as I have one of the Dogslicer and one of the Preview Goblins I got on e-Bay. I hope that I picked the right ones to get three of so I can at least open one of each for my display. -
C2E2 2015 (April 24 - 26)
Captain Paco replied to youbastards's topic in Crisis of Infinite Minimates
I would love to attend; however, my wife is running a half marathon that weekend and I can't seem to get her to do it without me. C2E2 and this race are always apparently the same weekend and as long as my wife wants to remain a runner, I have to support her so my dreams of attending C2E2 will not happen as there is no way to make it to Chicago in time to make it worth my ticket cost after her race. I only hope I can live vicariously through all the posts from those of you who are able to attend. -
TMNT Minimates - it's official!
Captain Paco replied to youbastards's topic in TV, Movie, & Video Game Minimates
Okay, I am back at work with easier access to this site. I posted that I was able to shop at a Kmart close to me a couple days prior to Christmas. I got a Krang and a Michelangelo. I left four other packs behind. On the Sunday after Christmas, I returned to that same Kmart as my wife had to return some gifts my parents got for her. I then acquired the three remaining packages. I ended up with a Raphael, a Leonardo and another Michelangelo. So that means someone only purchased one package in the few days between my visits. So, for Christmas I gave a kid I teach in Sunday School a present that included all four turtles, April, Shredder and Krang. He is a HUGE Turtles Fan for a five year old and his mother said he was so excited that he dumped out a Lego case to put them in so he could take them to his grandparents for Christmas day. I was told that his mother and father were surprised how wonderfully he shared and let his older brother play with them. This was the first time anyone in the family had known about MiniMates. So maybe I introduced a new line of toys to a new family. Now if only they made MiniMates Power Rangers as well. My extra Michelangelo and Raphael are on my desk at work. I only wish I had an extra Foot Solider or FootBot to give to my young friend. -
I have to cast my vote for Luke314pi, not just because he nominated me, but he is a great individual and really makes his customers feel like they are part of his family. He also really gives of himself for the cause.

TMNT Minimates - it's official!
Captain Paco replied to youbastards's topic in TV, Movie, & Video Game Minimates
I happened upon a Kmart today and found a partial strip. I only bought two of the seven there. I got Krang and regular Michelangelo. Took a chance with the Mikey. What I left behind were two Leonardo's, a Raph, a Shredder and a Donatello. This was in Morton, IL. -
Yes, I would like one, please!

I sent an e-mail to Customer Service for DST. How long does it take to typically hear back from them when you send them a message? I sent them a message on Friday about Howard's leg being broken in my set that I opened for display.
-
I just got my order from Luke and they are wonderful. I think it is interesting how the packaging says "Collect both sets to build the couch!" but yet you get a full couch in each set. However, Howard's leg was broken in the package.

Pulp Fiction minimates
Captain Paco replied to fedoraNinja's topic in TV, Movie, & Video Game Minimates
Well, I have to admit that I a likely the only one that has never seen Pulp Fiction. I was not planning on getting any of the related Minimates for Pulp Fiction, as well. However, I have been purchasing the "Mystery Mates" from Luke's Toy Store and I have for a total of $10 ($2.50) each, I have obtained a full set of the "Vincent & Mia's Night Out" boxed set. They are rather interesting mates and I will likely be parting them out for customs, but I like the looks of each figure and think they are nice looking mates. Just thought I would share with you all. -
Can't believe that Luke's Toy Store has notified me that my four sets (2 of each) are being shipped so should have by Friday or Monday at latest.
