  1. Love the lighting of Dr Manhattan! Is he back lit? Lantern looks great too, with his face emerging from the shadows and his ring ablaze!
  2. While I would really love to see one, I feel like we have all the pieces we need for a Super Adaptoid. DST could make one at any moment and just cast pieces for Thor, Hulk, Cap, Hawkeye and IM in Green and put them together. So I'm voting for Attuma. I think he'd make an excellent toy. He has all the great toyetic qualities I love. Also voted for Sons of the Serpent, just because they look kinda cool.
  3. The female representation is awesome! And that Wasp is soooooooo close to the 616 Wasp I want that it hurts. I might just have to buy her and see if she'll fit in with the 616 Avengers 'mates.
  4. Daaaaamn - that is a great shot! Loving it.
  5. Spikey Iceman would be awesome! I've wanted one like the ToyBiz Mutant Armour version for some time now. I'd be extra chuffed if he included a mouthless Joe-Mad head to so he can be displayed with the AoA figs we already have. I wouldn't be mad about any kind of Wasp wither.
  6. GAHHH! I am loving everything I am seeing of this set. The rabid X-Men completionist in me is going gaga for that Mastermind figure. Can't wait for mine to arrive. I do really love that Collector hairpiece on Quicksilver too. If anyone has a spare Collector, I'd be happy to buy him from you.
  7. real talk? I had to google most of these cosmic characters. I'd be down for most of them, but I went with the One Above All. I know no-one wants a celestial at this scale, but I just love those old stylised Kirby designs. As runners up, I'd be keen on the Stranger or the Shaper.
  8. I have gone with Deathbird and the Shi'ar Trooper, because in my mind if we get the two of them, then we're possibly looking at a whole wave of X-Men in space type characters and it opens up the door for Binary, Lilandra, D'Ken, Gladiator, The Starjammers and Wolverine in the Fang outfit because every X-wave needs Wolverine.
  9. I caved and bought a start-up pack a while ago because it was heavily discounted (less than 1/2 price), and it was fun enough. The thing I like about the lego games was that after they were finished, you could keep grinding at them to get 100% - collect all those characters, get all those gold bricks. This was wasn't possible with Lego Dimensions unless you were willing to spend 100's of dollars on extra character and level packs. Someone did a bit of quick and dirty math with the first wave of releases and found that to unlock all the content, you had to buy about $300 worth of packs, but if you wanted to everything on offer in the first wave, it would set you back about $450. I'm not sure where, in between those two amounts, you'd be able to unlock all the content and collect every brick to finish the game 100%, but both figures are a significant amount more than the price of a standard lego game without the extra plastic clutter. I ended up picking up the modern GB story for like less than 1/2 price, and it was fun enough. If any of the other packs become heavily discounted, I'll get them - but not being able to ever finish the game without spending big $$$ was a huge turn off for me.
  10. Right? The not highly requested characters could easily go one of two ways though: 1) They're big names we always get like Wolverine/IM/Cap, or 2) they're slightly obscure characters like Carrion or Blizzard. I am, personally, hoping it turns out to be the latter.
  11. YAASSSSS! Luke - does this mean you'll be receiving and shipping these out soon? 8D
  12. I don't know, man... I reckon Miss Piggy would be pretty damn scary to face off against. Serioiusly tho - love your work , man. I hit up MMDB all the time to check on which figure was from what wave, or to find accessories, or sometimes just to have a look at what's new.
  13. I saw this the other night. A hugely enjoyable, beautiful film that is let down by one or two actors who can't quite carry the weight of their scenes. Having said that, the supporting cast act circles around the leads. They are fabulous. The sound design is incredible. The cinematography is immaculate. Every shot is a painting on it's own. Even if this were a bad film (which it isn't) it would be worth watching just for the audio/visual experience. I would definitely take a Luv minimate!
  14. Yeah - I think it's like the Dark Avengers... no-one in canon actually called them the Dark Avengers in public, that was for the readers - to distinguish them from the actual Avengers.
  15. I miss voted - I'm here for Thundra! More villains and more women! I don't really mind about the army builders. Punisher Robots would look great, but I think I'd want Alphas as they'd make for a good base to create Unus. I have never read a comic book with Psycho Man in it, but I do remember an issue of either Wizard or ToyFair where the staff posed the old ToyBiz figure on his 'emotion machine' and was trying to convince another F4 villain (Doom maybe?) on his plan to over come Richards by making him sad, then glad, then mad. I don't retell it well, but I had a bloody good chuckle when I read that as a kid. Those old ToyBiz marvel lines had some ridiculous accessories sometimes, and some weird, obscure characters. So much fun to collect.
  16. This is probably exciting no-one else but me, but the listing of Mastermind as 'Mastermind as Professor X' is awesome. It's actually a Mastermind figure!! I know it's a technicality and is still packaged as Xavier, but i'm calling this a win. Smoking jacket Chameleon was announced a little while back in the SDCC panel (about 20:25 in the video). He turns into MJ.
  17. Nice shot! Is that just against a flat, printed background? It looks remarkably good if it is!
  18. I'm probably in the minority, but I just can't get into Cheadle as WM. Terrence Howard seemed much more suited to the role. It's a shame he didn't come back, because I would have very happily watched a TH War Machine solo spin-off, or even been happy with him as IM. Cheadle just seems... kind of... out of his element. Sorry - took that a bit off-thread there.
  19. Aside from the oddly coloured Clayface, that's a really nice set...
