  1. Pretty sure the Captain Marvel movie will be set in the 90's and feature Ronan as the lead villain. So, it won't tie directly into this film. But she will, no doubt, appear in Avengers 4. Adam Warlock is meant to be the protagonist in the next GOTG film, if i remember correctly? It was one for the fans. It's nice that the movies aren't spoon-feeding audiences too much and give little nods to the comic readers. Saw this on the weekend. It was a lot of fighting. a LOT. Maybe too much? But, I have to say that the pacing felt pretty good. I didn't feel like I was stuck in my seat for over 2.5 hours. I was most satisfied with the ending. It felt like the only way they could end the film and not have it feel like a cheap 'team work wins the day' after 2 solid hours of defeat. I think it's the smart choice from the directors and will create the emotional gravity needed for whatever the next film ends up being. I thought the keeper of the soul stone was a really nice touch. I'm curious to see how it will play a second time. I'm not convinced that the pacing will fly quite as well once I know what is happening, but I'll def see it again at the cinema.
  2. Infinity War Special: Staff Picks What are your all time, Top 10 favourite MCU minimates? Find out who the staff at MMC picked and why!
  3. Oh no! I totally forgot M!!! M can be packed with comic Hela or young Layla in a Walgreens wave.
  4. I'd love to see Asgardian Storm. NM Graduation costumes would look awesome, but they really are a 'Holy Grail', aren't they.
  5. "I am going to die surrounded by the biggest idiots in the galaxy." The MCU retrospective continues with Gamora and Nova Corps Centurion
  6. Damn, Luke! This guy looks fantastic. The liver spots on the top of his head, and the printing that goes over the front, and continues along to the top of the chest block really make him look amazing. I'm loving this line of customs so far.
  7. Would love a Fatal Attractions wave (Let's get Exodus, Acolyte Colossus and Cortez locked in), but it is probably actually within the realms of possibility. Less likely would be an X-Factor investigations wave. The entire run is one of my favourites from the post 2000 era, so any story that included the majority of the team would sit well with me. I know we already got Madrox, but maybe they could do an M-faced variant to make him different? Madrox & Butterfly/Layla Rictor & Shatterstar Banshee (Siryn) & Strong Guy Wolfsbane & Longshot BAF Darwin. EDIT: I'd totally take a Ruby Summers / Old Man Cyke 2-pack at TRU as well.
  8. I'm really glad DST went with paint apps for Killmonger's armour, rather than a sculpted piece. It keeps his proportions in nicely in check, whether he's wearing the mask or the hair.
  9. And here are Ever and Hemingway. Sack was going to be an unarticulated bonus pack-in with one of them, if memory serves.
  10. I'm curious as to how the Wasp will turn out as a minimate. There are a couple of distinctly different options coming out in other toys.
  11. This topic makes me so sad. I desperately want that early Gen X line-up... (Mondo and Penance included), but I think they're a looooooong way off, *if* they ever com at all.
  12. I will buy anything they put out that is 616 related. I've been buying up those bootlego figures like a mad man. Official product would be very welcome.
  13. The Simpsons house was $330.00 here. I reckon this set would be at least twice the size, with more minifigs. if not $800, i think it would have been over $600.
  14. That Chamber is VERY cool! Well done!
  15. I think that Disney and StarWars probably have a bigger fan base, and therefore can more easily be pitched as a money making ventures. An $800 X-men product is probably a much tougher sell.
  16. When I saw this posted in the 'unread content' list, I thought 'ooooh - we're doing a throw-back to a wave 20!'. Love that you mentioned repeat pairing it in the review. Not sure if it was a deliberate choice from DST, but I think it was a really nice little nod for long-time collectors.
  17. It was created by DarthKy (i think) and submitted to Lego Ideas. It won the 10,000 supporters needed to be considered, but didn't make it past the approval stage. Lego never gave a reason, but I suspect that it would have been to big/expensive a kit for Lego to create (as bilbofett pointed out). I think it's freaking beautiful though and have been investigating how I might build one for myself.
  18. If you're desperate, I'll happily pick you up a set, but they retail for 79.95 here I understand that this price will seem insane to anyone in the U.S., but it's what we pay for toys in Australia. Still, if you are desperate and can't find it cheaper anywhere, I'll grab you one.
  19. Speaking of X-Mansions.... I have been toying with the idea (pardon the pun) of trying to build this bad boy.... But i suspect it's going to take a *lot* of time and money.
  20. Maybe.... but Fox doesn't seem too fussed about continuity. And it's not like Psylocke or Storm were ever Horsemen, or that NTW was ever affiliated in any way with Deadpool or X-Force.
  21. Next trailer has been released. There is an
  22. My big want for these waves are the Black Order characters, as I'm not sure we'll see 616 Versions of them anytime soon. I think that despite the difference in headpiece design, the MCU minimate actually has a fairly comic-booky looking face and costume, and would sit reasonably well with the more detailed 616 minimates.
