  1. I've heard Mouseguard is good! Will add it to the list. Does anyone know if there are any Marvel young reader books that cover Spidey and some/one of Carnage, Doc Ock, Sandman or Lizard? I am planning on getting Luke's Box Set for all of the kids I know for Xmas, so would be great if I could give them a book to go with it to inspire their own stories with the 'mates.
  2. This is perfect. I was going to start my own similar thread asking for advice! I've recently started working with a UK charity called 'Reading Partners'. One of the boroughs near where I work is one of the poorest in the UK. I visit one of the schools, once a week, to read with a 7 year old boy. He is behind the rest of his group in terms of reading level, so the idea of the partnership is that I will help him get his reading level up, whilst also increasing his enthusiasm for reading. Part of the problem is that he doesn't have the support network at home that encourages him to read, and most of his books are likely to be things he HAS to read for school. So I was going to grab him some comics, so that he can read them at home, and then we can spend part of our sessions discussing what he read, and what he liked/disliked etc. Will look into getting some of the above, Sentinel has been recommended to me before. If anyone can think of any books that would suit please let me know. Doesn't have to be comics, I just want him to have some fun with reading. Thanks!
  3. The new 52 costumes look amazing in Lego. Hopefully we get minifigs of that lot. Brainiac or Space Batman to be the exclusive PO Minifig?
  4. Looks great! I have a lot of respect for cosplayers. Takes so much effort to get the costume together in the first place, and then you have to wear it all day in often uncomfortable conditions.
  5. The detailing on the armour is really nice, especially on the guy with dark hair. From a playability POV I can see these going great with Thor mates. Get these and throw in a Stormbreaker or The Mighty and/or Worthy sets and you've got a great gift for someone.
  6. Wow. What size are they? There's a convention in London this weekend and I'm hoping that someone will have the Ghostbusters pops in stock.
  7. I really love some of the photos online of that figure. The metal parts seem to give it a real weight that some of the previous Iron Men are missing.
  8. Awesome! I will also be there.
  9. Glad to hear it! I'll get on the ball with organizing something.
  10. Anyone going MCM in London this weekend? If so, drop me a PM as would be good to meet up.
  11. That mate is fantastic. Looks just like you! Hope you had a good birthday.
  12. Can I have a top 10? Modern Heroic box set MvC3 Zombie Wave 43 Black Amazing Fantasy 15 Very tough to leave out the original wave 2, Secret Wars and Future Foundation. The first ASM movie version is also really wonderfully executed.
  13. After seeing Legos Groot, I can safely say my money will be staying with DST.
  14. Welcome!!! Another Brit....and fairly close to me (I'm in Essex)
  15. WHA?!?!EVERYTHING I HAVE EVER KNOWN TO BE TRUE IS A LIE?!?! A wooden box is a wooden box
  16. I think there was a scene where he flashes back to Captain Stacey's death. He is wearing the old suit, but not with the mask.
  17. Agreed! A combination of both Doc Ocks might work for me. New body, with the F&F face, and a couple of the F&F tentacles.
  18. I think we are going to be Luke's cash cows not the other way round!
  19. The off centre eyes is proving to be a real pain. On a figure as detailed as Spidey it throws off the whole aesthetic. From your photos YB I can't see it too bad on the ASM2 figs, but that ASM1 mask is all over the place. Electro looks awesome though!
  20. Oh man....these things really get to me. Lovely video though.
  21. Casket might be good for our Universal Monsters Dracula...
