I got the same e-mail this morning. With a delivery date of June 25 - 29. I can not wait for these to show up.

Yeah, I ordered Gen John from them on June 12 and it is still waiting. Hopefully soon though, my order was slated to ship by today.

Yes they did! :biggrin: Picked them up today on my lunch hour, so I haven't even opened them, but they are out there. Don't have anyway to post pics though, no camera.

Really? They were featured in a full page ad in Toyfare with wave 24 that said they would be. I figured the fact that TRU is now carrying all kinds of AA/DST stuff (Spirit/Star Trek/BSG figures etc) that minimates would be included. I thought that wave 24 did well so they would be getting more. That would be unfortunate if they didn't.

I've been wondering, has anyone happened upon wave 23 at Toys R Us yet? I'd love to pick these up but TRU will be $2 cheaper each than my LCS, it'd be like getting the 4th set free!

The Doctor looks good, I have some of the same parts put aside for mine but I have to wait as I'm moving house. I'm using Marty McFly's sneakers though. Bring on the Cyberman!

thats kinda what i figured. thanks for the confirmation TTF. that does suck, the Razor set is only $10, but it adds $4 to shipping. i'd rather pick it up for $20 @ my LCS and show them the support for the line.

I don't think I'm losing it, but I'll be damned if I can find the free minimate banner. I've checked with 3 different computers, at home and at work with IE6, IE7 and Firefox. I'm just not seeing it. I'm guessing it would be either on the main page or the minimate page. the only banner i see is for the winter blowout sale.

Where did you see the free box sets? I'm gonna pick up some sets and I'd really like a free BSG Razor set. Thanks!

Bringin' this back from the dead. I was just able to get my hands on a couple Rocky I sets, sans hair of course. I figured it couldn't hurt, so I e-mailed Chris at DST and got a response the next day that they would be sending out the hair pieces that day! I was really surprised that they would still be able to offer these so long after release. I've been a bit unhappy with them lately because of the BSG and Star Trek mates, but I am very happy with their customer service.

This is going a bit off topic, but it's too bad that movie theaters don't have "gift shops" anymore. I remember seeing The Empire Stikes Back in 1980 (yes i'm old ), comming out into the lobby, and MY GOD was there a ton of merchandise for sale. Posters, books, figures, glasses, you name it they had it. It was great and it's a shame it went away. Thats what you call "striking when the iron is hot"! Back on topic, it seems really odd that ST and BSG are put "on hold" just as both properties are making comebacks ie the final 10 eps of BSG and the new Trek movie. Wouldn't it have made more sense to actually have product available while these were happening? Since TRU is carrying minimates again, and they are stocking Star Trek figures and other stuff, AND some stores have BSG figures (just picked up a Starbuck for $12 ) I find it hard to believe that the ST and BSG minimates couldn't have been shoehorned in.

i've started to post 2x now, but i'm so ticked off, they both started to sound like a rant...so let me just say, this fr!ggin sucks! i wonder, are there any more properties they'd like to hook us on and then cancel before they're complete?

I'd like to know if they would consider releasing a box set of translucent minimates, like the SDCC 08 exclusives. red, green, blue, and yellow at least, but orange and purple would be great too.

Yeah, wave 3 suffered from not having any regular uniforms or non specific aliens for army building. although I did buy multiples of the Spock sets for extra Vulcans/Romulans, Mark Lenard (Sarek) did play the first fully seen Romulan onscreen. I still have high hopes for Star Trek mates though, the fact that TRU is carrying Star Trek merch that pictures the minimates on the back as well as carrying other minimates, has me optimistic.

I was already hooked on Green Lantern before the Sinestro Corps War, and have to say, I think the new story is going to be great. Expanding the color spectrum to other emotions seems logical. If green is willpower, and yellow is fear (natch) it makes perfect sense for red to be rage. i know blue is hope, and pink (Star Sapphires) is love, black is going to be deceased heroes and villains, I'm sure we'll see white by the end, but what is orange? i know its going to start with the Weaponers of Qward, but what emotion is it? indigo too, i'm not sure what that one will be either. it's really cool how they (Geoff Johns) are tying everything together. I've always liked superheroes like GL and Batman, no powers per-say, but they can hang with the super-powered by sheer force of will and ingenuity. I still can't believe they canceled the DC mates, I was a little late to the party but they are most of my favorites.

Now would be a great time to do it too, the 10th anniversary is this year and they will be pushing the original with a new, single Blu-ray release. wow, tough choice, so many good characters. as cool as that Deadpool looks, I had to go with Gambit. he has always been a favorite of mine. hopefully, they'll revisit Rogue sometime and give her a jacket to go with him.

I agree, the new packaging is great. it's probably something TRU wanted. blind boxes never sold well when i worked there, and it makes returns easier for them to accept, being able to see the figures inside. plus its a bit more eco-friendly. although, i do wish they'd stop labeling the variants like that. the fact that Spidey is on every package can't hurt sales either.

the 2 TRU stores I have seen them at had them pegged with the Superhero Squad figures in the action figure aisle. I've notice that they sometimes end up behind them.

Yeah, I forgot about the Thanksgiving push back. I was going by the Diamond release date. My LCS gets all the AFX exclusives and looking at the date on the price tag they put my IMTTA on the pegs on 8/18/08. I guess I'll have to give them a call to see if I should bother driving there. Good point.
