  1. Couldn't disagree more, I love the streamlined Scarlet Spider suit.
  2. Really looking forward to these arriving in the mail. For anyone army building the Nova Corps, drop me a line, I think I need an extra Venom for the black costume Spidey version. I may have to try and find another Superior Spidey as well, as I love the smug face they gave him, but rarely display my Spidey's without their respective masks.
  3. If you're ordering online, there are two things to consider: 1) Use code SAVE15 to take 15% off all regularly priced items 2) If you have a Shop Runner account, you can get free shipping. If they had advertised the 30 day free trial before I checked out, I might have done that first to save the nearly $8 shipping charge.
  4. You may notice a theme with some of these: Scarlet Spider (Kaine) - #1 Want Scarlet Spider (Joe Wade) Spider-Man Unlimited: Spider-Man (Mr. Negative suit) Negative Zone Spider-Man, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Cide (Spidey clone), Spider Armor II (Black and Gold) Ant-Man (Eric O'Grady)
  5. I hate the blind box aspect, but like some of the characters that have gotten the Mez Itz treatment.
  6. Wow does that figure look fantastic. I love the doc ock spidey and that is a good looking figure. Sam's dad was a member of the Nova Corps. If you haven't read the series yet, it's probably one of the best titles Loeb has written in some time. Additionally, he's now off the book and Zeb Wells has taken over.
  7. I didn't see anything about these posted, but starting next month, a new line of Mini Mez-Itz is expected to be released. I have a few mini figures from some of the previous waves, namely Superman and Batman Beyond, and I'm hoping I'll be able to track down the Superman figures from this wave. Here's a link to the breakdown for the first set of blind boxed figures.
  8. Series 2 was just announced as well. I'm probably going to have to acquire the Superman Blue figure, as I was a big fan of that storyline and this would be my first opportunity to get a "mini" figure of this suit. http://i.toynewsi.com/g/generated/DC%20Comic%20Toys/DC_Collectibles_March_2014/Scribblenauts_Series2__scaled_500.jpg
  9. Gotta go with the Thunderbolts and Daredevil on this one. Considering the original TB team has never been done and the amount of team revamps they've seen, it seems like we should at least have Citizen V and Mach 5 by now.
  10. Should he be bald?I only say because the same hair pieces are in both the Zemo sets, suggesting an alternate human look for the Nova Corpse. Thanks for posting! So, this is a Nova figure after the Annihilation series? It is from before. Not sure which was worse the really bad pun or you missing it totally... T. I admit, it was pretty cheesy, I just couldn't resist. Great pics TBT. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to get my mates in the mail!

  12. Really like the display stand for the Superior action shot. Welcome back Luke!
  13. Replace the Wizard with either Thunderbolts Flash Venom, Boomerang or the new Beetle, and I'm in. I definitely love the idea of minion army builders.
  14. We really need a like button for posts like these. If you haven't already, you may want to seek out Superior Spidey Team Up and Scarlet Spider as there is a Kaine/SpOck crossover. Scarlet Spider is one of my favorite books on the stands today, so I'm looking forward to this encounter between the two.
  15. There is no f#%*#&^ way I'll ever get caught up now. If you haven't already, you might want to consider reading the Spider-Men mini from last (?) summer. In it, Miles meets Peter from the 616 universe. At the end of the series, Peter looks up Miles Morales online. We see a shocked face, but the big reveal has yet to be made. With everything happening in the Ultimate Universe (Hunger, etc), I wouldn't be surprised to see another crossover sometime soon, be it in Spider-Men 2 or another title. As for the costume, I definitely see the Alex Ross design with some elements of the Ben Reilly Spidey suit. However, I can certainly see how someone would think of this as the inverse of the Miles costume. Here are a few pics to take a look at from Alex Ross's original designs (you may have to click on the image links on the left). http://www.comicbookresources.com/images/previews/rossspidey/ Here's also a really nice costume statue that someone did a few years ago that I stumbled across while looking for the Alex Ross images. Now, I would really like to add this to my Spidey statue collection http://spanglerart.blogspot.com/2010/05/alex-ross-concept-spider-man-painted.html
  16. Not sure how I missed this, but I wish you all the best. I've always enjoyed your posts and hope that you'll get back on your feet soon. You'll be missed on the boards man.
  17. I'm loving this new direction. After OMD, I dropped the adventures of the devil-dealing Spider-Man. I just couldn't relate to a character that preached, Great Power and Great Responsibilty, only to make a deal that flew in the face of everything he stood for. With that said, I have read a few issues and wound up picking ASM #700. The ending was unexpected and really set up Ock with a new mission - become Superior, not just as Spidey but as Peter Parker. Perhaps I'm in the minority, but I never thought Ock intended to be "evil", he just let his arrogance get in the way. Once his body became fused to his extra arms, we saw the mental breakdown of a genuis, someone that knew that had wasted their sole opportunity to do good and wouldn't get another chance because of the miscalculation he had made. The ability to transfer minds gave him back his youth and a better body to accomplish his goals. I hope that this story allows for the humanization of Doc Ock a little and that he begins to learn about the role Great Power and Great Responsibiltiy has to play in his personal and superhero life. I have really enjoyed the changes he's made to be more efficient and look forward to seeing the new spider-legs incorporated into his costume. Here's hoping that Spidey-Ock sticks around for a long time.
  18. Really liking the Superior Spidey suit and the mate looks fantastic. Will definitely need to pick up Spidey, Nova and Venom out of this wave. Still need a Scarlet Spider mate though.....
  19. I knew that request for all of the minimates ever made should have been sent to BHM instead..... (and yes, that was intended as a joke).
  20. I'm pretty sure that's Greg Horn's default female face... here you go: redagentvenom.jpg nice job Fantastic. Well done!
  21. Duh, he joined the "Wolfpack" Fantastic. Can I demand a Randy Savage mate be included with this set? I think it's safe to say that the Scarlet Spider is still a fairly unknown quantity at this point in time. In fact, Venom just came to be aware of him during the Minimum Carnage crossover. Definitely worth a read if you haven't done so yet.
  22. I recently re-discovered my TNG collection and remembered how fun it was to try and find some of the more rare figures in this set. This was the first line I actively collected after I started earning some extra spending money and I have pictures of at least one birthday and Christmas that was almost completely dominated by TNG figures and accessories. Shame that the line never caught on the way it could have. Here's hoping the minimate expansion helps full support a Star Trek resurgence in the action figure domain.
