  1. Might have to get these! Original Toon Turtles were the ones I most wanted from the get-go, and no TRU exclusives to track down make this really appealing.
  2. Pretty cool! I had loads of the originals back in the day. Loved that Bret Hart figure.
  3. Yeah, the T-800/Arnold figures. I think Sarah had a rubber body.
  4. One of my birthday presents this morning was the Giant Sized X-Men I think my mom bought from you. So, thanks for sending that along! They are excellent.
  5. Whizzer (even if in an outfit I'm not familiar with) and Dr. freakin Spectrum as Minimates??? Awesome. Walgreens exclusives. . .not so awesome, but better than not existing at all.
  6. I've shied away from the rubber figures for the most part (I experienced deterioration with the first DX Batman), and haven't had too many other types of issues. But the PVC-type material HT used for more recent muscle bodies--like Terminators--have done very well. Not sure what VTS is using for Furiosa, though.
  7. Yep. It came up for pre-order a few days back. http://www.timewalkertoys.com/Furiosa-Virtual-Toys-1-6-Figure-p/vts-020.htm I opened Max a few weeks ago, and he's a fantastic figure.
  8. Sorry you were sick during the holidays, Shane. I'll be in your neck of the woods this weekend for a conference. Let me know if you'll have some time on Saturday to have a beer. My collecting impulses are not what they once were. My interest in Minimates is almost gone altogether, sadly. And right after getting so many great releases from Predator, Alien, Muppets, and Marvel! But, it is what it is. Same goes, to a lesser extent, for 1/6 figures, 1/4 scale statues, and my MP Transformers, which is pretty much all I collect nowadays. If I can get motivated, I'll be selling a huge chunk of my collection soon. Minimates included, though I can't imagine I'll ever sell the awesome Luke customs I have, some other great custom gifts I've received over the years, and my core DC and Marvel guys, though.
  9. Thanks. I've fallen off the Minimates wagon. . .or some analogy along those lines. So, I'm pretty clueless about all of it.
  10. Is that the one with Nighthawk? I'm only really interested in the Squadron Supreme guys from what I remember. Thanks!
  11. I have been to many Walgreens over the past couple of months, and haven't seen any newish Animated Minimates. I've pretty much given up on it, and will probably resort to eBay to get Nighthawk. Bummer.
  12. Hi all. I'm pretty sure I bought a Gorman figure from someone ahead of time last year (that came with the APC), but I can't remember who. Looks like I can't access all of my messages. If you recall, can you shoot me a PM about it? Thanks.
  13. Of course, I love it! Great work! I think the first ever figure I commissioned from Luke was a Zartan. Blue color scheme is the only other way to go!
  14. I was out of town at a conference all week and couldn't keep up with this at all this year, but that most recent $5 code did work. Thanks, Shane!
  15. WINNING! Great job, Myte. Can't believe we still don't have that Marvel Girl as an official Minimate! Get working on that, DST!!
  16. Abysmal sales of the Wolverine Minimates, plus nothing from Deadpool or Apocalypse (which provided us with some of the best, most colorfully designed X-Men costumes/looks in film thus far) makes me think this is not going to happen. But DST seems to have been unaffected by the larger embargo that some have speculated on re: X-Men merchandise. Because we still got Minimates, though nothing else, for DOFP and First Class (no likeness right issues muddying the waters probably contributed to this).
  17. They look great. I dig the slightly larger than usual masked Wolvie eyes, that seem to have more of a Cockrum vibe to them.
  18. Good call, hellpop. Now that you say that, it seems like the similarities between those two really are endless.
  19. My Hulk is still going strong. Even my old Dutch Schaefer Hot Toys is fine. We're getting lots of 1/6 scale Turtle options--2 different types from ThreeZero, one from Mondo, and one from another company. But none of them are really hitting all the right buttons for me. No doubt the movie ones look great, but I have no attachment to that movie, and haven't even seen it. The Mondo ones look fantastic, as well, but are essentially just scaled up Mattel or Hasbro figures, so I can't justify their cost. And the designs from the others don't quite hit the mark for me, though that one company's Shredder and Casey Jones look really fantastic.
