  1. I know too well how tedious it is filling out those customs declarations, and then having to drive to/stand in line at the post office. Shane definitely deserves props for all he selflessly does for the community. So. . .if folks feel the same way, they should give a little something back by using the forum advertising links!
  2. I stopped by a Walgreens this morning, knowing that they probably wouldn't have any Minimates for sale. They didn't. BUT, there were some terrific deals on discounted toys for young girls. I paid $1 or so for a Disney Pirate Fairy, about $1.50 for an Octonaut, and $3 for a fancy Doc McStuffins toy. Also, Halloween cereal was out! And not only that, but Count Chocula and Frankenberry rang up for .75! And they had some Walking Dead and Big Bang Theory trivia games marked down from $6 to about 50 cents. Walgreens is frequently a great place to go for awesome deals on discounted merchandise, and today was a good day for that. I have two really nice Phillips and Sony Ipod docking stations that I picked up for about $20 a piece when they were marked way down at Walgreens.
  3. Spidey 2099 is probably the only one I want from that first wave! Though Hulk and regular Spidey may be able to sway me if/when I see them in person.
  4. They are supposedly in stock at every Walgreens near me. I've gotta say, I really dig the Hawkeye/Bullseye pack. Probably my favorite of all the animated 'Mates we've seen so far.
  5. That was before such a hole would have been inserted into an accessory. It does have a foot peg, though. And I'm sure it would be easy enough to dremel a little hole into the bottom if you were so inclined.
  6. Agreed about Nightmare. I first caught Serpent and the Rainbow about a year ago, and the nightmarish imagery really stuck with me--the mark of a really good, atmospheric horror film. RIP.
  7. A guy who flies, a guy who shoots arrows, a guy who shrinks, and two guys on steroids vs. an athletic guy and woman, and. . .nigh indestructible robot guy who can shoot lasers and phase through people, and guys with super powerful robot suits who can fly and shoot lasers, bullets, and missiles. Team Tony doesn't stand a chance.
  8. Are they doing a 1/6 scale forest speeder thing?
  9. Well, on the bright side, can anything Vince does be worse for Sting's legacy than the stain left by his involvement with TNA?
  10. I so want to do it, but leave from work is so valuable to me, with all the time we have to take for a sick child (such as today--I had to stay home from work) that I can't commit so far into the future. And once I know for sure, I know it will be too late
  11. I would be surprised if Vince allowed that, just on principle. After all, he didn't "make" Sting, and no amount of creative revisionist history can change that! I think we're more likely to see Sting humiliated and then thrown in a garbage dump or to have feces dropped on him on his way out.
  12. Someone at Hot Toys sculpted a pretty great Stan, as well, and I believe Chan stated that they will be releasing a full figure of him, as well.
  13. It's nice seeing those guys back, but they're all old as dirt, and I don't see any of them accomplishing much.
  14. I've been a fan of MGS going back to PS1, but I was never a really hardcore fan. Love the designs, and character of Snake, though. Honestly, I don't know anything about this. I tuned out of the Raiden games and the weird last one where Jack Bauer did Snake's voice. I'll have to look into this new one, though. MGS4 was awesome. . .we'll wait for your apology before moving on.
  15. I see Sting and the Dudleys. Anyone else?
  16. You've gotta read the classic, early issues of the Avengers with Enchantress and Executioner teaming up with the Masters of Evil!
  17. Pretty off topic, but I was watching an old Reading Rainbow episode with the kids yesterday, and there was a segment going behind the scenes with Valiant comics circa 1992. Some of those hairstyles were fantastic.
  18. They work very well in my opinion. I posed one with one of my Men with No Name for years.
  19. I don't know about that. Mediocre network/cable shows like Flash have decent enough special effects IMO, and Netflix surely spends a budget roughly equivalent to some of those shows on things like House of Cards and Daredevil.
  20. None in my local TRU tonight. Scant Minimates to be found across the board.
  21. Damn. Wish I could take a time machine and pay a mere $50 for those Qui Gon toys.
