  1. As I have vowed, I will buy no further DC product until they resume giving us waves and waves of DC Mates. Poo on this new bat cave.
  2. Yes, I got the email today and was happy to see that it was possible to preorder these sets. In the past, SDCC stuff on ebay has been fairly reasonable; but for some reason this year the prices seemed a bit high. They got by order.
  3. Posted by: Arcdeluxe Apr 22 2008, 10:49 PM I really love what you guys are doing with the Star Trek minimates, however, I'm concerned that we may not be able to finish our crews for a long time yet. Do you have any plans to complete the crews faster? (ie. boxsets, release 2 waves at a time, etc) Or do we just have to practice a lot of patience? Also, I know you're not allowed to talk about your license, but do you have it for a long enough time that you would be able to complete the crews, at least the main ones? DSTChuck: I have to be honest, there is a VERY good chance that we will NOT finish every bridge crew for every Trek! Not happy about this litte quote at all. Show much rallying do the Star Trek minimate fans need to do? I wonder if the line is really in danger ...
  4. Broken minimate ... end of the world ... is there really a difference?
  5. I don't have a negative thought about these sets. They are cool and I'm happy to have them in my collection.
  6. Got mine as well today! They are really good. YAY Mates!
  7. Are minimates safe to take a quick dip in warm water in order to get the dust off they have accumulated from display? Wanted to know before I did something stupid and tragic. How do you clean your mates?
  8. I had thought the original civil war spider-man had the extra arms. They did it with Dr. Otto, so it shouldn't have been a huge stretch. I ordered may though ebay ... the shipping is cheaper with AFX and they seem to ship faster. Can't wait to get my hands on them! I had thought the original civil war spider-man had the extra arms. 9. This is good news for Saturday morning! I've been wanting a Wasp, Ant Man and Giant Man for quite awhile. Gold Iron Man is cool. Another Hulk ... whatever. I guess the only other FA Avenger is Thor, but his appearance didn't change much over the years, so it would be a waste of plastic. Heroes mates ... ah, life is good. Thanks for the information!
  10. I'm happy to be getting more Marvel minimates, don't get me wrong. However, besides Betty Ross and the Thunderbolt Ross varient and Emil, we have all these characters. Okay, I guess we don't have a battle damaged Hulk, but you get my drift. Why am I carping, I'll buy them.
  11. For me it's Star Trek. A close second would be the original BG mates that just came out.
  12. Well, it is sad when any line is cut. I bought them all, but I won't lose any sleep over not having more 24 mates.
  13. Many thanks for all you do for us Mate Freaks. Has any thought ever been given to Babylon 5 minimates? What I wouldn't give for a Londo/Vir two pack.
  14. These have been my favorite non-Marvel mates ever. They are just soooooo cool. Ah, the memories.
  15. A Wrecking Crew would be an incrediable box set. Over all, I'd like to see a wave of villians. There needs to be some catch up.
  16. I'm a bit confused. AFX has been selling the Battlestar four wave and Star Trek 3 wave, for over a week now; but Diamond sayes next week for release. Now Fist is out? My head hurts, but I love all the mates.
  17. Strickly speaking, yes. I do think my advice is applicable to several different areas :o
  18. It's not an easy fit, but my popped right in after a little back and forth and applying some pressure.
  19. Since we've had a Defenders box set, I'd like to see a Champion's box set. It could include: Hercules Black Widow Ghost Rider Angel (non arch) Iceman (as bobby drake or maybe in partial transformation. And of course, I still want the Young Avengers box set or wave Hulkling/Wiccan (Speed Variant) Patriot/Iron Lad Stature/Hawkeye In the Marvel Universe, my top 10 in no particular order 1. MoonKnight 2. Wasp 3. Yellow Jacket 4. Black Panther 5. Black Widow 6. Ares 7. Hercules 8. Falcon 9. Winter Soldier 10. Tigra Top 10 Mutants 1. Gambit 2. Mr. Sinister 3. Marvel Girl 4. Deadpool (close enough) 5. Madrox 6. Siryn 7. Monet 8. Banshee 9. Toad 10. Battle Damaged Wolverine (what the heck)
  20. Yes, you can take the red thingy's off Ultron. What an incrediable two waves. Beautiful. I bought both waves and the dc mates today, and along with my comic books and discount spent $150.00. Whew.
  21. Sounds about right. I know there is almost zippy chance, but I'd like the Hulk variant to be Red Hulk.
  22. Gosh Alan Scott/Kyle Rainer Huntress/Oracle Black Adam/Wonder Woman's Mom Poison Ivy/Mr. Freeze
  23. That is indeed sad news and I guess I too was wrong about the health of the line. I am more a Marvel than a DC and would have been more upset if it was the Marvel line that was cancelled. That said, I still bought all the DC mates and really liked them. I'm sorry to see them go, if that is indeed the case. I'll add my name to any petition and will certainly be emailing DC direct. *sigh*
  24. And I am personally thrilled that Marvel is continuing. Happy, happy, joy, joy. I'm buying everything one of them and the variants. I am very greatful to DST. Are we certain there will be a hulk wave, or is that speculation?
  25. It sure is a happy day for me. Darn, those mates rock the house <and my wallet<.
