  1. Any one else interested in this game? For me personally, this game is one of the best announcements since a revised re-release of 3rd Strike (but I will refrain from my SFIII > SFII opinions that I have been... Avid about in the past). Though I favour SF over Tekken, the idea of Tekken characters being re-done to work in the SF play style AND the crossover possibilities and it's been suggested both sides will include some of the more obscure characters fans like myself have been asking to come back. TBH as a fan of obscure characters, one thing I like about Tekken is their tendency to keep characters going rather than scrapping them for whatever reason with the new games. So far the confirmed characters are: Ryu Chun-Li Guile Ken Abel Kazuya Nina Murdock King Bob Frankly as long as Steve Fox and Dudley both make it (both British and bother boxers), I'll be happy. All good fighting games need at least one Brit
  2. I like the USAgent update and think I might have a shot at it, as I have a spare USAgent in my parts box . Who did you use as the face under the mask?
  3. No Cosmic minimates makes Peter a sad bunny. Heads will roll if we get Kang before any of them!
  4. I like the movie lines because they'll often give us characters we'll never get in a comic line. I am now happy to say I got an Odin mate before I got Kang . And youbastards, those weapons look good. I've not bought any lego weapons to mod for minimates and while I know Luke did a blog on it, how did you find the shaving process?
  5. Thanks for the offer UK collector, but I already have the DG Egon from series 3. However I have two DG Peters, two DG Rays, one DG Egon and one DG Winston. I was highlighting the fact we didn't get a second DG version of Egon and Winston to go with the second DG/TRU Wave 4 Peter and Ray.
  6. I agree with you, especally with dark gray Winston. I always loved the dark gray over the tan, and feel my dark gray collection is now "in complete" as we don't have DG SB Winston or second DG Egon to complete TRU wave 4 Peter and Ray (espeally when they're just a DG re-paint of the ones from the boxset). Makes me wonder if they were for TRU wave 5 but TRU 4 didn't do well enough to warrent it. And personally I would trade movie one Janine for Ghost-Nanny Janosz. I know it's probably the last movie ghost that needs to be made, but even as an adult that one freaks me out, and I got over my childhood fear of Gozer...
  7. I know the feeling. I used to make sprite comics (please don't look down on me...) but focused more on serious, plot driven and character development based series (with a hint of DBZ in fights etc.) as I knew I couldn't write the kind of jokes some of the best in the business do. I'd love to make a minimate comic (especally one that belittles my least favourite heroes) but I know my jokes couldn't do it the kind of justice I'd want. Blade The Vampire Slayer, Fun With Character Variants, It's A Living and You're In The Wrong Movie. Are you picturing these as various installments of one series or as stand alone series?
  8. Just noticed the GBs have an alternative chest for if the proton pack is taken off! I love attention to detail like that
  9. Along with the Fantastic Four (who merged into Super Skrull), Frank was initially considered and developed. Not heard about Doc Ock though. I know . Hopefully we'll finally get Ken, Guile and if Capcom wise up and use him, Talbon. And I hope we get Strider and Captain Commando soon. The more I hear of this licence, the more excited I get.
  10. Nice to see C.Viper, Taskmaster, Viewtiful Joe and Dormammu in the flesh/plastic. Definitly looking forward to adding those to my collection . RGB and Universal look great as well. Like others have said, I hope more photos appear seen, maybe with an announcement or two.
  11. Probably. I have a feeling I might need to step up my customising game for this...
  12. Funnily enough, I've been toying with making a hand drawn web comic that works like a fighting dame (similar to how Scott Pilgrim is inspired by various old school games). I've been racking my brain for days coming up with an idea for a villain for the comic and personally feel something mystical, much like Devil (Tekken 2), Ogre (Tekken 3), Azael (Tekken 6) and my personal favourite Gill (Street Fighter 3) would work best.
  13. As a fighting game fan I'm definitly up for the Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat/Tekken angle
  14. Ha ha ha! This is great! Awesome job on the comic Looking forward to seeing more.
  15. Dammit, I bet the boardie that made you that stand is kicking himself for not having made one in that color for himself... that photo's amazing, it never looked THAT nice sitting in his crafting lair. Once I find out the name of this boardie, I intend to request his services in making me one or two for my own collection?
  16. Ha ha! Awesome job on the crying Hal custom. The paint job on the body is also really good. As for avarice/greed not being an emotion, personally I view it as "desire" which I believe is an emotion last I checked. I actually had a similar idea a few years ago for a web comic, where I swapped Avarice for Sadness and Compassion for Joy, and planned for the protagonist to obtain the orange emerald (as oppsed to a ring) due to his own personal sorrow.
  17. Nice idea on the Gamma Hulk. I managed to find some cheap on ebay and swipped them up The lego pieces look great and will look at investing in some. Any suggestiosn on how best to modify it so it's minimate compatable?
  18. Fair enough; I respect and understand where your coming from and do agree it would be great to get the original eight in minimate form. However along with Soul Reaver, SF3 3rd Strike is easily one of my favourite games of all time and as I'm not much of a gamer these days, the ones I still cherish are pretty close to my heart. As a result, I tend to get a bit passionate about those games and can at times go a bit OTT (hence my reply, which I regretted almost instantly). Sorry about that (if you use MSN, picture the MSN blush smiley). I still think Capcom should experiment with the roster and bring in as many obscure characters as well as mainstream ones as DLC for MvC3. Seeing and trying characters I never heard of was one of my favourite aspects of the first MvC games, the Capcom/SNK games and Capcom Fighting Jam. I say this, both as a fan of those characters/my interest in learning about them and the possibility of them being turned into minimates . As I've said before, I count Dudley and Talbon amoung my all time favourites and would love to see minimates of them. However I realise I'm probably in a niche and they're more likely to want to include the mainstream characters.
  19. Awesome Ken's pupil. Originally intended to be the only Shoto character in SF3, Capcom decided against this and brought back Ryu and Ken. Sean is still learning the style and a lot of the classic moves are restricted to his "Super Arts", but he gets around this with a few moves of his own, such as throwing a basketball instead of a fireball. From a gameplay point of view I feel he's a better choice than another generic Shoto character. No offence but I really hate the general ignorance people have towards Street Fighter 3. Yes it doesn't have the nostalgic angle SF2 has, but from a fighting game's point of view it's a far better, more technical game. If you enjoy more technical fighting games, it's worth checking out the upcoming Online re-release. Plus I'm a huge fan of obscure characters and generally prefer the SF3 roster due to how under exposed it is. That and it has Dudley, my main and one of the best British characters added to fighting games (I tend to support the British characters in any fighting game franchise, which is why I'm also a fan of Talbon and Steve Fox).
  20. Pretty much seconds my opinion, though personally I hope for the re-skinned alternative pallets (i.e. Punisher Cap) more so than characters from the endings (though I wouldn't say no ). I'm also hoping any and all DLC costumes (SF1 Ryu and Super Soldier Cap are top of my must have list) and characters (for when they fix their mistake and bring back Strider and Captain Commando). Quick question - was Ryu's gi a seperate scult when compared to last time? I ask because, if it was, I'm hoping to use him to make customs of Ken and Sean if they don't make it into the game (sadly Ken is more likely, despite Sean having a more original take on the Ryu/Ken fighting style).
  21. I've yet to buy the game and my internet speed and limited bandwidth means it might take me half a year to download all the DLC. I might hold off for this, but I can understand the frustration for people who've bought the game... He has quite a cult following but he's unpopular in Japan which is why he's never used in the crossover games. He's one of my Darkstalker mains, and gets extra awesome points for being British. Personally I want to see him along with Strider and Captain Commando.
  22. I'm hoping they changed their minds as I do feel like they've saved all the awesome minimates for the TRU wave and are putting the extras in the boxset, which is frustrating as the boxset is the easiest thing for me to get (at least at a decent price).
  23. To be honest I'm not too fussed about this movie or these minimates, but I might get Beast, Azazel and MAYBE Havok.
  24. Is it me or does it look like Slimer with the Proton Pack will be part of the boxset and regular Slimar part of the TRU wave? I thought it was going to be the other way around.
  25. Warriors of Asgard - Thor (New or Classic without the bulky chest piece); Thor Girl; Beta Ray Bill; Odin Prince of Power - Hercules (maybe in his upcoming new look); Cho; Athena; Zeus Annihilators - Ronan; Gladiator; Quasar; Beta Ray Bill Guardians of the Galaxy (New) - Star Lord; Adam Warlock; Upated Drax; Rocket Racoon
