Decided to upgrade Infinity War Thor to make him more accurate. Quite happy with the results.

Found Wave 8 today in PA. Modok/Wasp set definitely got the budget for this wave, rest are bare bones. Still can’t look at jackal and not think of Beast Boy. Not sure why they went w Whitney Frost on the package instead of Madam Masque.

Well that’s unexpected and easy for us to get. If this series won’t be sold off during TRU liquidation I’m assuming no others will as well. I wonder when/how they will be offered.

If DST has any control at this point in what Wave 2 will contain I hope they’d have the sense to takeout repeat characters w little/no changes (vision, BP, SW, Wong, Gamora, Drax) and keep the new/different ones.

Any chance we can get a subscription for these? I’d hate to miss one.

If they’ve already been manufactured DST will try to find a new home or sell them direct. Any non-produced ones will be shopped around and who knows if they’ll ever be made. I hope DST does more on Amazon. Things like set up a store like NECA, get items to be pre-ordered on Amazon more easily, you can’t pre-order the Infinity War boxset on Amazon. I wouldn’t be surprised if DST tries some direct to consumer items too.

@DSTZach Yes I'm saying you guys need to be "bigger dicks". Not 100% dicks, you never go 100% dicks. (this board doesn't have censors right??) You're company exists to sell product and what are the packs that don't sell and clog the shelves? The ones that are duplicated between stores. Yes, you need big hitters in all stores for the casuals/kids/etc but you need to get collectors to buy them too. Make them slightly different, give them an interesting difference and people will buy them again. Same w the 4-pack. It's cheaper to buy the two exclusive figures loose off ebay than it is to buy the 4-pack. Tweak the two repacks and make them different somehow, make people feel they are getting more new for their money and they'll buy it. That's what I'm saying you guys should do, not be 100% dicks and have chase figures/one per 20 cases, etc. As for my complaints about Infinity Wave 1, except for Rocket's eyes I don't think I'm being picky. They are all easily done things that are consistent with other minimate waves. Also, they are being done by LEGO, POP, etc. If you guys aren't getting the information in time to know about these things you need to speak up and request it sooner. It can't hurt to ask. Squeaky wheel gets the grease and all the other sayings.

Really?? No Stormbreaker? (Don’t read any further Zach) The first wave for Infinity is full of so many bad decisions. Widow’s bizarre face, Inifinity Guantlet is too small and has the thumb in the middle, Iron man has no cannon/wings, Thor has no weapon and no eye patch head and Rocket doesn’t have pupils (all it takes is one little dot of paint). I still don’t understand why DST doesn’t try giving different faces/accessories to the same figures released in multiple venues to encourage multiple purchases. For example the Thanos in the multipack could have a different face then the 2pack, Iron Man in the multipack could have an exclusive accessory, Walgreens Hulk could have a different face then TRU Hulk etc, etc.

No Minimates at walgreens, no TRU wave, not even a Walmart exclusive Thanos at Walmart. Yay street dates!

I hope the boxset Iron Man comes with some extra parts like the fins and giant blaster hand. Zach said in a post “series 1, anyway” which is his way of saying there’s more coming.

Zach will the TRU wave be available Saturday as well?

It's amazing but they've ruined the 3.75" line and I have no faith they can restore it with the return of the vintage collection which is chock full of repacks. They should have started with something not so huge and worked up to an item this big.

Checked all the local Walgreens and no sign of this wave, though it looks like I wouldn't be able to buy them anyway. What I did find is the sale isn't making a dent in the current glut of minimates at the stores. They had anywhere between 12-40 packs per store.

I can see why they didn't make minimates. The amount of sculpting and one-use parts for each Jaeger and Kaiju must make it cost-prohibitive. Although the introduction of blind-bag chibi figures the same size as minimates does make me concerned.

It was very good but definitely over-hyped just like Wonder Woman due to it's cultural significance. I thought it was excellent until the last 1/3 of the movie then people start acting like morons and it became kinda predictable. I found the women characters of the film (Okoye, Shuri & Nakia) to be excellent and really enjoyed their parts. Andy Serkis was excellent (of course) as Klaue. I wasn't a fan of what they did to Killmonger. I want my bad guys to be bad not sympathetic.

Darn it these have the design I didnt like the Muppets had w the unsculpted faces. It looks like someone took a mallet and smashed their faces flat, it just looks weird. Tails and Robotnik look excellent though.

Toyark Marvel Coverage toyark has their pics from DST up. Wave 76 looks really great except for venom. Using bulked-up parts on only the upper legs and arms just looks weird.

DST always has a closed booth on the first day to meet w buyers. We always have to wait until Sunday and half the sites seem to forget to go.
