Turned animated Proxima into comic-style with some black pieces, paint and added some hair. Added the arm spikes and cape from the Marvel Universe Spiderman 2099. No paint required, they match perfectly. Finally, turned Kluh (so horribly stupid) into Abomination since the animated version just doesn't cut it for me (the head, sharp angles arm pieces, etc), Switched out the feet for non-ripped pants parts and added the abomination head piece. The rest is just paint over the Kluh body.

Top heavy Skurge just bugged me so I painted him some boots. Hela needed a sword and collar paint as well. Much happier with them after modifications. Also, with a little paint the DC Ares axe works very well for a comic Skurge.

Found these at Walgreens while looking for Thor minimates. Almost bought Harley.

7 Walgreens later I found them. Thankfully Walgreens are everywhere. The Walgreens I found them at had done their "reset" and had other new items like Dragonball Super figures and the DC Vinimates. Also, they weren't with the animated mates so look everywhere in toys I found them on the bottom shelf.

Because they don't require new parts/many parts so they keep the wave in its budget.

Found these today at a TRU in PA. Picked up the Xenomorph two-pack, skipped the rest.

I'd go with the axe that comes with either Ares (Marvel) or Ares (DC - although this one could use some paint).

Gotta agree the boxset idea is great. DST is already going that way with speciality, so it fits with their current strategy. Also, the work is already done on the minimates. Why not resolicit them as boxsets and see if they succeed that way?

I don't think minimates are dying but it's been a bad year for non-marvel lines. They've all been duds and other than Kingdom Hearts there are no new lines we know of. Aliens is over, NBX is most likely over after this year's two waves, POTC won't continue, TMNT is done, Gotham is done. Predator is the only non-marvel line that is continuing (one last TRU wave and then "The Predator" in 2018). Not to be mean but DST has to do a better job in selecting properties, they made some bad choices this year.

Gotta agree with you on both points. This has been a horrible year for non-marvel minimates. Every release has been a dud (the minimates themselves have been good as usual) and aren't moving off the pegs. I hope it isn't hurting DST financially and reducing the chance of non-marvel minimates.

WTF....this is shocking news. I never thought for second these wouldn't be made. It's classic TMNT and they looked great.

Saw them today at TRU in PA. The Masked Tracker looked interesting for custom parts but I have no use for the kid and I'm not paying full price for parts. I'll wait until they are on clearance, these will sell just as well as the POTC & Watchmen sets.

I definitely be in for a Deadpool 2 wave or boxset. Not really interested in another Deadpool comic wave in its place. DST has done a good job with Deadpool (comic wave, TRU series, etc) that I'm set with comic Deadpool. What could another comic wave have that would sell other than another Cable, Domino, etc?

I agree that you guys were in a tough spot w Iron Fist and Colleen Wig is the only reason I'm going to buy it.

Surprised and disappointed there won't be a Defenders set. I was really looking forward to getting a new Elektra, Weaver's character and whatever else interesting the series will bring. Hopefully this isn't the end of the Netflix mates. I want a set for Punisher and Daredevil season 3. If the sales of previous sets haven't been great I don't see the coma-inducing Iron Fist set doing well at all (especilly considering the series wasn't good either).

Good stuff. I guess this wave is inspired by some of the earliest waves w things like chameleon, MJ & half head Spidey. Disaapointed DST went w Cat's modern look instead of her more recognizable classic costume, considering how bad the two previous minimates are. If TRU waves are now going to be 6 packs instead of 3 I'm all for more minimates.

Good stuff. Thor waves look great, so colorful and well done. Wave 65 is looking good too. I'm not familiar with Iron Fist's tracksuit costume but it's so ridiculously over the top it's awesome. Glad to see DST trying out the BAF system. Quake doesn't do much for me since she's an easy custom but I hope it leads to more sales.

I still think it's Disney Store. They've had them in the past and have a relationship w DST. Also, they stock items specific to each Marvel movie. I could see them wanting minimates for each new Marvel movie.

Just give me Thanos, Black Order members and the new Spidey/Iron Man armors and I'll be happy. I've got plenty of versions of everyone else.
