that was honestly my guess for live-action. i wish i shared the enthusiasm, but i know it’s got a massive following so i could totally see this being real.

so many options! would be nice to know if it’s animated or not. idk why but i’m just gonna guess dragonball series? that’s still going right… either way i’m excited to see something new

so i finally opened mine after about a week or so of having them, they look great! and it’s fun seeing them alongside the older mates

so i really like wave 76 venom, but the walgreens maximum venom is now my favorite to display w spidey because he’s just so big and scary

thanks for chiming in guys, i guess i was more trying to see if there’s a specific era to be mindful of. from when i first started collecting til my initial break around ~Wave 11, i don’t think i ever had any issues. of the newest mates, i think one roadworn hero thor had a hip problem right after purchasing from WG, but for the most part they’re solid. just seems like there was a noticeable difference in the plastic itself and then the heavy, glossy paint pretty much seals the joints lol. anyway! gonna use this time to salvage what i can. good news is nova can still use his flight base instead of his broke-ass legs haha

lately i’ve been picking up a few things i’ve been wanting from past lines, and i’ve had more than a few parts break off almost immediately. both of the x force box sets i’ve picked up had problems (cable’s hand breaking, domino’s leg breaking at the hip) and now my new nova + symbiote venom had both figures with bad hips. all of them were new and sealed, but purchased through ebay. should i be more gentle? it feels like a really thick paint app clogging things up

“I find your lack of faith disturbing” (not really lol but i had to throw it in there) we’ll find out soon with boba! and i love ewan mcgregor so i’m happy to see him back. mando is a tough act to follow but i’m hoping they’ll pull through.

after getting mark 47 from homecoming, i think that might just be the coolest looking iron man minimate. which is crazy because it reminds me of the ultimates and i was never a fan of that look in the comics. the chest piece and sculpted upper arms look great together, would like to see that more.

i would probably need to get a second job if star wars minimates ever happened. so many storm troopers and rebels. and of course everyone in the cantina gets a figure (special box set for the band). hammerhead will end up being even more sought after than silver age angel. i’ll tell myself that i’ll only stick to the original trilogy, but once they release darth maul i just get pulled right back in. now i’m waiting for AOTC jango and mace windu. then eventually it’s mando. would love to see it in my lifetime lol

i’m gonna need to keep up on the logan and deadpool movie ‘mates, i had no idea they existed. the hunt begins!

the 90’s animated juggy coming up gives me hope for another more comic-accurate figure down the line. i love the excalibur jugz but i could always use more, ya know? and on the topic of bulked up villains, i think rhino is due for a newer release as well. normal sized villains would be bullseye daken and kang for me. i agree with the others who have mentioned ghost rider and blade for sure. then of course first appearance and x-factor x-men are always going to be my vote for a re-release (maybe full team + xavier or a villain for a 6pack) might as well throw in new mutants since they’ve also become tough to find. i’d also like to add man-thing and howard the duck (blue jacket + hat, and maybe the tiny legs they used for rocket)

howdy y’all i’ve been collecting pretty much from the jump, Marvel is what pulled me in. the logan & storm 2-pack was the start of my collection and there have been a couple times where my interest has wained (different priorities, or mostly characters that i don’t really care to have) but over the last couple years i’ve been picking up some of the things i’ve missed and it feels good. currently i’ve got about 450, and other than a few grail items/army builders i think i’m about done for now lol. i have watchmen, x-files, and the man with no name trilogy as well. i held on to some C3/DC and i sold my LOTR stuff a while back. the new transformers, gi joe, and power rangers sets look good! too bad i’m not that big of a fan, but i’m excited to see what else comes down the line and to chat with other MiniManiacs!

ever since i read about 6packs being the DST’s new direction, i keep thinking of teams that would work for stuff i’d like to see. for MK we could get two sets from the first two games liu kang, raiden, sonya, jax, kung lao, johnny cage scorpion, sub-zero, baraka, kano, shang tsung, reptile and then maybe exclusive two pack with goro and shao kahn imagine the lil minimate skull + spine accessory

with 6packs being the move going forward, what are the chances of a comic-accurate box set?

it would be nice to have some more hulk characters. updated versions of abomination and the leader, then maybe bi beast, zzzax, xemnu, and wendigo. rick jones, doc samson, betty ross and thunderbolt ross for some support. if it’s only going to be 6packs going forward then probably no chance at BAF devil hulk but maybe just two sets with half villains/half allies. i want more bulked up figures for him to face off against lol

i would think about what costumes you prefer and what teams you want to build and then try lukestoystore and ebay. if you’re like me (and a few others) you will probably have to skip the first appearance x-men since angel in that costume is super rare. i was able to get the 90’s x-men when they came out but it looks like those go for a few extra bucks if that’s what you’re into. the more popular characters have a lot of options to choose from so i would look around the minimate database for the ones you think look best. good luck, have fun!
