Well my bday elephant sent me an ecard the night before my birthday saying my present was in the mail but also included a gift card code for some facebook credits for my avengers alliance addiction lol...it was great since that allowed me to snag Thor and his movie costume! a knife to the head...but how graphic is it? While I am a huge supporter of the direction most companies have taken with their more kid friendly/appropriate content I am not blind to the fact that most kids today are exposed to way more 'graphic' content then before. I will check over the preview of the comic on the BB website and peruse over the ashcan copy from the con once it arrives and see but I don't recall what I have seen so far being something to deter me from letting the older kids read it. I will say that it does surprise me a bit if the comic is rated for older kids since I would have thought tying a toyline and comic would be great for the slightly younger audience since society says that kids should be all done playing with toys by the time their 7-8 years old(I wont ramble on there since once I get started I cant stop with my thoughts on that idea. Huge props to Luke for making the deal on these books. I am waiting to hear back from my comic guy but will more than likely be jumping in on the offer too. Just want to throw this out to all those that are buying the 25 copies...if you have not the need for the comics I run a kids day camp during the summer and have a table of comics that the kids can take and read during down times throughout the day and most of the time let the kids take them home if they so choose to. I think this would be a great avenue to get the Battle Beasts some extra exposure and plan on asking Zach about maybe donating some Beasts posters that I can put up in camp alongside the movie posters that our theater donates. So if you have a pile of Beasts comics from getting the promo minimate and would like to donate them to a worthy cause please let me know! Jeff of the Miniacs

This is the first year in a LONG time that my annual birthday tradition of Free Comic Book Day and then the comic book movie released then fell through...I was crushed as I was greatly looking forward to some of the books as well as the movie. I got an email from my main shop checking in since he hadnt saw me there that day and to let me know that he ran out of all fcbd comics so he wont be able to donate leftovers to the kids camp I work at over the summer. He said the sales this year were up 25% from last year and last years sales were pretty huge already! I have heard great things about the mouseguard book, and that was one I was shooting for along with some other annual faves like Owly. I had a couple friends that went and grabbed some stuff for me, just gotta see what they snagged yet! Jeff of the Miniacs

I know Chuck likes to announce closer to the event, so probably not for another month or so. But I'll see if he'd like to mix it up this year. We have a bunch, and they're all pretty cool. Not all of them are ready yet, though. Maybe he'll let me stagger them out, announce a new one every week. We'll see. Thanks guys, it is a huge step and yes the hard part of hunting down a job starts. We were doing up our new summer budget the other day when some of the reality of the new path in life hit home when wwe wrapped up the August budget and realized that September was no longer a return to classes and a fixed student loan amount incoming. hell man Hawkeye rocks, I have him as my only level 10 hero right now, although there are a couple right behind him at 100,000 silver each to train! just bought spidey today and need to run him through some paces as I work my way up to more command points! Jeff of the Miniacs

another way to get some silver, and some energy too is to visit your allies...everyday too, not jsut when they have a distress call available, you can go every day and get 30-60 silver from each one adn usually 1-2 energy too my training back log hasnt been too bad since I have been only focusing on a couple heroes to clean up the early chapters and master them up to 5 stars....the rest spend the days on recon missions gain silver...since hawkeye needed 100,000 silver and 38 hours to train to level 10 lol jeff of the miniacs

Hot Dog! Just checked in and played my morning round and found my prices have dropped! My big guys were 130 and are now 90! Jeff of the Miniacs

not sure if the prices were just in beta or not but that was my understanding that it was a random thing. my trick is to play and replay the lower levels to boost up my agent levels...I am usually 10 levels higher than the recomended level before going in so I have not had much trouble other than the Dynamo premium missions Jeff of the Miniacs

If you read in the FAQ they say that in the Beta people will randomly lower prices and that was the case when Kye started playing. At the time for me to get Hulk and company was 520!! command points and his was 50 for the high end heroes. Then my prices came down to where they are now - Hulk and such for 130 and his came up to that mark as well. As of yesterday his prices were back down again so he is cramming in some game time to ty and get some points saved up to buy some for the higher heroes he has been interested in getting like Hulk and War Machine. Likewise his costumes are lower priced which almost makes them more affordable too. Like I said though the games FAQ said that this is totally a random as to has this and who doesn't.
