  1. I got the DD and JJ sets as Christmas gifts for myself, so I just opened them recently. Thoughts: -S1 Daredevil is everything I wanted him to be. It's great that DST included Matt Murdock parts, instead of taking up another slot. I sacrificed Gotham's Black Mask so I could display them both at once. -By design, Foggy isn't quite as interesting as some of the other characters. He's still an excellent representation of an important character from the show, though. Maybe some jacketless arms would have made him a bit more dynamic, but that's a minor quibble. -Claire's a pretty essential character, basically the Coulson of the Netflix shows, so it's good she got a slot so early. Personally I would have preferred to see the scrubs look, but it's a nice touch that she has the disguise as an alternate look. -Kingpin is very well done, especially with regards to his face design. I was worried the waist riser would make him too tall, but it looks fine. -Jessica is a perfect likeness of the on-screen character. I love that DST included so many accessories. -Trish is in more or less the same situation as Foggy, but she's helped by the inclusion of jacketless arms (like every minimate in this set), and the "It's Patsy" TV. Unfortunately, my TV's design was applied upside down. It's still a great inclusion. -Luke is a good representation of his character, but I can't help but wish we'd gotten Simpson instead, since Luke's going to be released again in his own box set. -Kilgrave is probably my favourite of all of these. He's just an excellent minimate, from the alternate screaming head to the picture of Jessica. His only potential issue is that is chest tampo is next to impossible to make out, but that doesn't bother me.
  2. I have an Invincible Iron Man for trade, if anyone needs him.
  3. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
  4. I haven't been to TRU in ages, but last time I went, they didn't even keep the minifigures blind bags near the counter. They were on aisle-end caps.
  5. For what it's worth, I've personally never been in a store that didn't allow you to feel blind bags.
  6. Far from it, the gloves seemed to be a common issue when these were new. I'm not sure there was ever a definitive conclusion besides "boil it/freeze it/ignore it and see what happens".
  7. I did, with one hundred percent accuracy thus far. It isn't very hard. If you can finvd them, you should be fine. Some tips: -Spider-Man, Silk, and Iron Man all feel similar. For Silk, make sure the figure has hair. For Iron Man, make sure the alternate head has hair. For Spider-Man, make sure the figure has neither. -Wolverine is pretty easy to distinguish by her sculpted boots, which no other figure has. -Spider-Gwen is similar, as she's the only figure with hair strands in the front. -Old Man Logan feels sort of like Iron Man or Spider-Man, but his short hair and lack of an alternate head set him apart. -Venom is by far the easiest because of how big he is. You should be able to tell just by holding the bag. -I don't think I've come across Deadpool yet, but I imagine it should be fairly simple to indentify her shoulder pads.
  8. Out of those, I'd say Mockingbird is the only "major" member, along with maybe Firebird. Personally, I'd rather see costume variations like sleeved Hawkeye, ionic/updated Wonder Man, Dr. Pym, a new Wasp, or white Vision. In my opinion, the best mix of popularity/desirability to collectors for a WCA/WC wave would be something like this: WCA Hawkeye (one sleeve/two sleeve parts)/Bulldozer Mockingbird (pants/no pants parts)/Wrecker James Rhodes as Iron Man/Thunderball Ionic (or just updated) Wonder Man/Piledriver That way we get five new characters, two major movie Avengers, and, with the addition of Tigra, all five founding members of the WCA. I know people here would rather see new characters than looks we've more or less seen before, but I think the wave would need something to anchor it. At least here all of the characters have something to differentiate themselves.
  9. I'm pretty happy with how DST does army builders as is. I don't have the space for massive hordes of army builders, and even if I did, in most cases I'd only want about two or three of each anyway. I wouldn't really be interested in an army builder wave. I'd almost always rather get specific characters. I guess I'm in the minority, though. Just like how I have no interest in comic/MCU Warriors Three or the Wrecking Crew...
  10. I 'd say the full Imperial Guard is in the same position as the Starjammers, but there are even more of them. I'd love to see the rest of them (especially Manta), but Gladiator is by far the most significant, and the wave would need a Wolverine to anchor it.
  11. That first wave is pretty much exactly what I was thinking. The Starjammers would be great too, but I can't really see a whole wave being devoted to them, and I wouldn't want to see them unfinished.
  12. Wasn't that supposed to be fake? It was adressed in the original Ragnarok thread. EDIT: Or was that what you meant by "bootleg"?
  13. I can't say I'm a fan of either show, but I'd rather get the original in minimate form since it's less cartoony.
  14. If anyone needs one of these besides Silk, I should be able to help you.
  15. Mine are the same colour as my flight stands. Personally, prefer that to the blue of the Blizzard parts.
  16. I picked up the Black Knight/Enchantress and Falcon/Tigra packs today. I'll get the non-variant Blizzard set later. -Black Knight is pretty much perfect. The only thing I could think to add would be 90's jacket & lightsaber parts, but that's in no way necessary. I think Dane might have the best hairpiece I've seen for a minimate of myself. -Enchantress is great too, I think her hair's fine, but her eyes seem a little off. Irritatingly, mine had some paint rub at the elbow, but it isn't very noticeable. -I'm surprised by how much I like Falcon. I'm can't say I'm a fan of the costume, but the minimate is very well done. I'm not sure how Redwing is supposed to attach with the, um, red wings getting in the way. -Tigra is very good, but now I want a WCA wave even more.
  17. Comic shop exclusives are just the regular numbered LCS wave. Wave 69 is comic shop exclusive. I think this is a good lineup, as I wouldn't have been that interested in civilians. No Ned Leeds is surprising though, as is the number of Spideys. I can't see LCS more costumed Spider-Man variants, so I guess the TRU set will be another along with the confirmed Iron Man. I'll probably get a full LCS set, depending on how Tinkerer ends up.
  18. People have been mentioning this since they were released, but I haven't really noticed it.
  19. A Shi'ar-themed wave would be my top choice for the next X-wave.
