A genuine warning.

Please take this seriously...no joke,no spoof. I received an email a couple of days ago ,allegedly from Paypal, which informed me that there was a problem with a particular transaction . The email provided me with a link which I began the thought process of opening but decided to go through the proper Paypal access procedure. Having done so there was no mention of any problem or any previous problem. I subsequently deleted the email & unopened link .

If this happens to you I'd advise you to do the same.

I'd politely ask the mods to delete this thread after a reasonable period but I thought my experience was worth publicising & I would just mention that I have just dealt with (for the first time in ages) a particular toy company whose banner does not appear here on the MMMV. I will only deal with that company via Paypal because of previously burnt fingers &................. credit cards.

Cheers for that. If I get any emails from Paypal or anything along those lines I never click links but head straight to the site to double check.

I had similar with one of my credit cards the company phoned me on my mobile to say there maybe a problem and I wouldn't deal with them on my mobile. I phoned from my home phone to make sure it wasn't some scam service trying to phish for details.

I've received similar messages in the past. I also got one from eBay awhile back that appeared almost completely legit, but was not. Best to do as Rob says and go directly through your typical log-in at these sites to see if any issue is genuine or not.
