buttheadsmate
Please take this seriously...no joke,no spoof. I received an email a couple of days ago ,allegedly from Paypal, which informed me that there was a problem with a particular transaction . The email provided me with a link which I began the thought process of opening but decided to go through the proper Paypal access procedure. Having done so there was no mention of any problem or any previous problem. I subsequently deleted the email & unopened link . If this happens to you I'd advise you to do the same. I'd politely ask the mods to delete this thread after a reasonable period but I thought my experience was worth publicising & I would just mention that I have just dealt with (for the first time in ages) a particular toy company whose banner does not appear here on the MMMV. I will only deal with that company via Paypal because of previously burnt fingers &................. credit cards.
minimadman
I have had something similar to this. I contacted Paypal about and they had me forward the suspicious email to them so that they could investigate.
MiniFiend UK
Cheers for that. If I get any emails from Paypal or anything along those lines I never click links but head straight to the site to double check. I had similar with one of my credit cards the company phoned me on my mobile to say there maybe a problem and I wouldn't deal with them on my mobile. I phoned from my home phone to make sure it wasn't some scam service trying to phish for details.
karamazov80
I've received similar messages in the past. I also got one from eBay awhile back that appeared almost completely legit, but was not. Best to do as Rob says and go directly through your typical log-in at these sites to see if any issue is genuine or not.
TM2 Dinobot
I've had this happen in the past, and fell for it hook, line and sinker. Never again.
gambitron
I just deleted a similar paypal e-mail!
