616commando Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 (edited) Didn't want to necro an old thread, so... In Tomart's Action Figure Digest issue #107 there's a picture of three Tony Hawk minimates. Anyone know the story on these? At which point did the line get scrapped? I'll try to scan a picture tomorrow, but they look like three inchers to me. At least they have the same elbow articulation as the Star Trek onesThe 'mates are featured in the Toy Fair '03 segment on page 47, if anyone else has a copy of this magazine. Dio Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Now my Nightcrawler will never be able to ollie into a 360 kickflip sidewinder paragon ultimate stiffy :< Quote
minimadman Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 They were 3 inches and I think the Tony HaWk bubble burst before they went into production. Here's a pic. Quote
vbpanizzi Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 I did not realize they were 3 inchers. That makes me miss them less. I know 3 inch was the original size but I have always thought that they work better in the 2 inch scale. Quote
DarkRedShadow Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 those would have been awesome!since i am a huge skateboarding fan. Quote
buttheadsmate Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Forgive the lack of imagination with the pictures but these guys do not pose too well! Hope you like them though. Quote
blacksun1520 Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 How did you manage to get those Rob? Quote
karamazov80 Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 I can't speak for BHM's score, but several of those prototypes/test shots/whathaveyou have appeared on eBay over the past few months, as well as unreleased 3" Star Trek characters, more of the unreleased Ozzy Osbourne characters, and some others. buttheadsmate Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 As Sam indicated I hooked those from ebay a while back but I've only just received them (long story). They're the genuine article bearing in mind their source & very very delicate. Quote
