I think the workers at the assembly plant got bored and just did it for the hell of it. Personally I do not like it, so your not missing much. In fact the entire paint job (arms, chest, etc...) for the Kraven on the left has a much lighter shade to it, but the extreme difference is evident on the pants. For reference I'm pretty sure the minimate database review has a pic of the one on the right, while the minimate central review has a pic of the one on the left.
