MINI_MYTE
Here are some detailed pics of the latest minimate boxed set from DST. PLATOON (click thumbnail for larger pics) Front view Rear view Sgt. Elias Grodin Sgt. Bob Barnes Pvt. Chris Taylor Pvt. "Gator" Lerner *Note of interest: Unlike Sgt Rock's helmet, the ones owned by the Platoon gang slip over the existing hairpiece and do not directly peg into the minimate head. It looks real goofy if you place one on a standard minimate head. Edited September 18, 2008 by MINI_MYTE

karamazov80
Great pics, though I think that my Defoe will be turned into John Clark (his character in "Clear and Present Danger"), the character who is screaming to have movies made based around him (Rainbox Six!!). drgnrbrn316
My spare Dafoe head will go towards fixing my abomination that is the movie Green Goblin.
Jad
Dafoe head on the SM3 New Goblin body - EXACTLY what I was thinking. Also, I'm going to have to get around to watching this movie! Can't believe I've let it slip by.
Twisted Two-Face
Really mad that they used CEO/Demon in a Bottle Stark's hair for one of them... Good set either way! Edited September 18, 2008 by Twisted Two-Face
Shanester
I don't like the helmets.
Twisted Two-Face
I don't like the helmets. Yeah, they're a little too "safari-ish" to be for the Vietnam War.
buttheadsmate
Classic GI......Sgt.Rock was perhaps the most underated 'mate yet & was nigh on perfect with regards to detail. I'll reserve comment until I see them in the flesh but ...oh dear ...shame about the helmets.

TITAN
Really mad that they used CEO/Demon in a Bottle Stark's hair for one of them... Good set either way! I think you'll find that the platoon set was gonna have that hairpiece before the iron man set was even announced.

Dan
I love how easy these are to customize. With two sets you can have 8 unique soldiers with just head swaps and body piece swaps. Now if only I had enough disposible imcome for 2 sets.

Joe Hill
Thanks for the picture Mini_Myte! These look a lot cooler than I anticipated. I wanted to get a boxset so I could have a Willem Dafoe head for a movie Norman Osborn, but now I just want a boxset for the soldiers themselves. Andymini30 is right, DST is good at parting consumers from their money.
Cappy
If original Hulk and Spider-Man epitomize what the basic 'Mate figure should be, the Platoon set demonstrates the beauty of a detailed MiniMate. Well sculpted without breaking the 'Mate format, this set is a must-have for every MiniMate connoisseur.
