buttheadsmate Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 I had a dream where all the top executives from TRU hired the hotel I run ,months in advance ,'Pre-order' for their Christmas Party. They all arrived expecting a good time but minutes after they'd booked in I told them that the caterers cancelled, the beers run dry & the central heating has failed. The dream ends with me telling them that "Not to worry you can find them all on ebay .....sorry!" Quote
Mirymate Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 It not a good sign when the scalpers are beating us to the store even in our dreams, Ivan. Quote
Vigilante Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 All mine involve Namor , Aquaman & Ocean Master. Wet dreams...? Something you're not telling us...? Quote
Ivan Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 It not a good sign when the scalpers are beating us to the store even in our dreams, Ivan. I hadn't quite thought of it that way, but yeah it does present a pretty grim worldview. But last night was filled with many naked ladies so all is good. Quote
karamazov80 Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 When I was younger, I had a lucid dream in which I conjured up all kinds of beautiful, naked women to swim around in a hot tub. I even conjured up a buddy to show off my abilities to. He asked why I wouldn't jump into the hot tub, and I told him, "well I obviously can't do that. Then the cops would come to get me." Ah, dream logic. . . Quote

Ivan Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Time for another disturbing trip inside my subconscious. This one isn't directly about Minimates, but it is related. For some reason I'm in Timonium in DSTChuck's office. We are in deep discussions about DST's corporate structure and how they interact with Diamond Comic Distributors. Then for no apparent reason, he switches on a projector, connects his laptop and we start watching youtube videos on the wall of his office. DSTMatt comes in looking for approval on some paperwork or something. He doesn't look like Matt, but it was just understood that's who he was. Then we're all munching popcorn and watching videos about kittens. The weirdest part is that Minimates were not present in this dream at all. Quote
buttheadsmate Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Ivan, please remember.....it's 2 yellow tablets ,one blue & an occasional Wild Turkey. 2 Yellow tablets ONLY!! Quote
super spider piggy Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 I had one last night. It involved a new collectible store opening. Apparently, they were rereleasing the old Space Playmobil sets, and an exclusive MiniMate boxset featuring the Secret Invasion set cast sans Jewel, who was replaced by a martian with a robotic suit. I then recall Punisher=D, with his old mushroom human avatar saying, "I'd buy it, but I already made a custom." I also recall seeing BHM's JAWS avatar floating around. The highlight of it all, however, were the awesome Project Superpowers figures in GI Joe size. After seeing them, I shoved a Playmobil Space set, the MiniMate boxset, and a Death Defying Devil figure all into my bag before i woke up. Yeah. Im weird like that. Better than the one with the Evil Buttoned Red Shirt or Metaluna Spider though. P.S. Two more notes: Wave 24 loose figures were 99 cents a pop. Also DC figures that turned to dust when touched. I tried to grab the Jay Garrick one. That enough for ya? Quote
super spider piggy Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Another one last night, except involving an "Elvis Through The Ages" box set that came out in 2002. Quote

luke314pi Posted March 20 Author Posted March 20 I saw an absolute stunner of a Minimate set in my dream last night. I was walking around a comic/gaming shop, thinking to myself that they might have a few Minimates somewhere in here. The store was enormous. I finally found a wall of smaller action figures, and right in the middle of the wall was a lone Minimates 5-pack. It was the newer style of sets with @Barry's artwork on a front flap that opens. The artwork was from Onslaught: X-Men, but in Minimate form, and it was glorious. I opened it up, and the set contained: Feral Wolverine with bone claws, X-Man (Nate Grey), Jean Grey with a new sculpted hair piece and a fierce look, Bishop, and Final Form Onslaught. It also had a small unarticulated Franklin Richards. I brought it to the owner and asked where it came from. He said it just came out today, from the new owners of Diamond Select Toys. I was so mad when I woke up that this wasn't real.😆 Quote
Barry Posted March 20 Posted March 20 I often dreamt (and still sometimes do) of finding Star Wars figures that didn’t exist, and loading up my shopping cart full of them. It’s nice to know people have the same types of dreams with Minimates. I sometimes had MM dreams, but they were more stress ones of working all night after working all day. Quote
nandoninny Posted March 20 Posted March 20 i have a vivid memory of a dream over 40 years ago. i had some sores/scabs growing on my legs that hurt really bad. they grow outwards and eventually became gi joe figures from episodes where they wore different clothes than the normal toy. the only one i really remember though was Shipwreck in his winter coat but i remember waking up thinking how sad i was it wasn't real. seeing the super7 figures coming out now make me really hope they make that shipwreck. You sir are a true GI Joe fan. LOL You were disappointed to not have action figures growing from painful scabs on your legs? I don't care if they're gold Spiderman Minimates signed by Stan Lee. No thanks! Quote

Barry Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Totally forgot, we designed Onslaught's final form... I never assembled the sheet though. I forget what wave it was intended for. Quote
