NewGoblin23
Ive come across many cool lego building and megablock building sets and I was wondering what are the best buildings and vehicles for mates without paying too much? THe megablock stuff isnt too expensive and looks nice but legos look amazing but are bit too much for me. I basically want to make a little city, two or three small buildings and some vehicles. Any help is apreciated
robail2423
Not sure about buildings, but as far as vehicles go look for things in 1:24 scale. While that scale is not perfect I find it more in scale than 1:18.
NewGoblin23
Awesome. Any brand suggestions or websites?
TBT!
1:36 is really what you're looking for for minimate scale... assuming the average minimate is 6ft tall. T.
dark.collector
I build all with Mega Blocks(Spiderman 3 Line & some Marvel Line), Lego, C3(BatCave) I build also the vehicle so i can choose the scale 1:Minimate But the best is use piece of Gashapon to made the special power effect I post new photo one of this day
Fo Shizzle
Have you seen the Alien Agency playsets: http://www.toymania.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi The mobile recovery unit and hangar 18 look like a cool S.H.E.I.L.D. base. But what I like about the other sets is when you turn them around they look like normal buildings and may help you out with what you are trying to do . And also try looking up the Mega Bloks Command Ops playsets. Now I don't own any of these and I have heard alot of people saying they suck but I think they look awesome. The only problem is finding them online for cheap since I think these came out in 2002.

robail2423
Here is the 60's Corgi Batmobile to give you an example of 1:24. I have to take their feet off so they fit in there good.

Reideen1313
Starro is the big starfish responsible for the formation of the Justice League in the pages of Brave & the Bold: One of my fav Starro arcs: A boy in NY (IIRC) found a piece of Starro while fishing. Some starfish can regenerate from a single arm and Starro apparently has this ability. Once he regenerated, he started taking over the inhabitants of NY. The most powerful members of the JLA fell under his spell.

boyd
This came out this week: It will be behind my DC 'mates if I can find one at a reasonable price. Please share the pics if you do pick up a Starro. I'm strongly tempted to make a custom with little starfish face-huggers to possess my Minimates with. But if HeroClix Starro looks good, I might save myself the hassle.
hypno
Here are some photos of Starro that a member of another site posted. Also the new DCD JLA Series 2 figures (Batman, Hawkgirl, Amazzo, Dr. Imposible) all come with a Mini-Starro that they can hold.

karamazov80
Vehicles: Motorcycles and cars, should i just look in a hobby store? Minimates can fit in some 1:18 scale vehicles (for instance: http://www.millionaireplayboy.com/toys/bttfmm.php ). The Lego motorcycle that comes with the Indy chase set works pretty well with Minimates, too.
NewGoblin23
I heard that indy motorcycle works good, i might go buy it
robail2423
I found this site while searching for 1:24 scale buildings. Looks like some painting and assembly required, but they look good. http://www.coloradomodel.com/bldgg.htm
