MINI_MYTE
Anybody notice that GL's lantern battery has it's handle on the wrong way? Looking at this pic Green Lantern you can see that the flat parts are on the top and bottom, where as the "charging" sides are front and back. Well I bought a case and every battery is the opposite. Now I tried boiling the piece in water and moving the handle (which worked, but then the handle touches the flat sides and Hal can't hold his battery. To bad, it would've look much nicer the correct way. Anybody else notice this? Like I said, I bought a whole case and all the batteries were like this. Can't be a fluke. Mystery Man
Yeah, I noticed it. They can still hold the power batteries okay... they fit pretty snug in the outstretched position. Holding them down to the side is a not so much, though.
Lobsterman
Not to mention the guy's got a fivehead. Why did they print his face so low? Is he possessed by Hector Hammond?
The_Donster
With the exception of the battery charger issue, looks like the GL I grew up with when Neal Adams and Mike Grell were drawing him. I like the figure myself and just glad these were released
cdubya
Not to mention the guy's got a fivehead. Why did they print his face so low? Is he possessed by Hector Hammond? Yeah, his forehead is kind'a big. But if they didn't print it so low then his "spit-curl" would be more like a "devil-lock" and extend past his eyes! LOL. Shame about his lantern though. It amazes me how something so obvious could go through production without being noticed or modified.
Cappy
From the previews we've seen, it looks like every Green Lantern released is going to get a battery as an accessory. Hope they fix it up before more come out.
drgnrbrn316
I had noticed that little glitch last night when I was tinkering with GL. I'd hope they fix something like that, but the cynic in me says that we'll be seeing that lantern for many years to come.
Reideen1313
I don't have mine yet, so maybe this is a dumb question - so bear with me. Why can't the handle just rotate so the right parts are facing out? Is it molded to sit only one way? (Thus the need for the boil fix mentioned above?) NightViper
Mine had the handle in that position too, but the handle rotates. It may take a little force due to the paint, but it will go into the correct position.

Yeah, instead of the handle being a separate part, the whole thing seems to be just one big piece, thus the handle can't be rotated on its own. The boiling method mentioned above helps position the handle correctly, but it seems that the sculpt of the lantern doesn't allow for the character to hold it in that position. NightViper
The handle on mine rotated without boiling. It looks to be a separate piece, it was just held by some paint that was sticking the two pieces together. And he can hold the lantern even when it's rotated into the correct position (although I do have to admit there was some stretching of the handle. Not much though). I wondered if that just might be the case. I'm anxious to get mine even more now and see what works best! Also - it looks like your Hal is missing his ring - is that correct? (IIRC, it should be on his right hand. Man, I'm a geek....)
NightViper
It's there, you just can't see it from that angle.
Reideen1313
Cool. I thought maybe we found PL's missing hand...
Cappy
For the life of me, I can't get the handle to swivel. I can stretch it into place, but it certainly doesn't spin around the lantern. Am I missing something?
Alpheon
Just try twisting it around and around until the paint "snaps". Worked for me. I noticed the error 2 nights ago, but wasn't sure if I was right--as I'm not GL expert. I also got a Lex with two left arms.
thatblockoguy
The handle looks pretty flexible, but can it actually be moved, is it "articulated" (for lack of a better description) or is it fused in place?
Alpheon
It's "articulated".
thatblockoguy
Thanks. Does that mean that the handle can also be removed?
Reideen1313
Blocko - yes, the handle moves. NightVenom posted this: The handle on mine rotated without boiling. thatblockoguy
Thanks. Mine does turn. Funny how that tiny "click" sound when it frees itself from the paint can make you feel so happy.
maxcarnage
I fixed mine last night, no problems. I did not even notice it was wrong, but once you move it it looks so much better.
MisterPL
One more GL nitpick; the shoulder points on his costume are gone. It's more like a t-shirt. Should be V-shaped. Still one of my favorite 'mates, though.
