MisterPL
I'm curious. At what point did DST start favoring fully painted Minimates over ones with colored plastic?
MisterMiracle
Wow! That new Carnage is way better than the original but I think I still like that OG Quicksilver over the new one,
buttheadsmate
I'm curious. At what point did DST start favoring fully painted Minimates over ones with colored plastic? I don't think that that point exists ....some 'mates get fully painted some are coloured plastic .....like I said I can't figure why & for what specific reason Obviously it revolves around ease of production but I still can't find a fixed pattern . Personally I'd generally take a painted 'mate over a coloured plastic 'mate .
MisterPL
The reason I wondered was because I know DC Direct always preferred fully painted figures in their action figure line. I thought maybe it was their mandate for the DC Minimates that might have led to DST using it more often on other lines. But it does seem random, in my own experience. I'm sure it's driven by cost and/or timing.

TENIME_art
I prefer colored plastic, because it's easier to repurpose for customs.
