WHAAT? Marvel Legends is making CRYSTAR?!?!? Sorry, I mean "Marvel's Saga of Crystar." That is the way to work a license.

Ha ha, Right!
The wave has some odd choices... but I love that they're including some classics from the vault.
Interestingly, most Australian ML distributors have announced that they are not being supplied with this wave. It seems that Hasbro might be making smaller quantities going forward?

I'm definitely going to make a point of adding Crystar to my ML display. Even if there won't really be a conceivable place to put him...

Get's me thinking about a potential "Guardians of the Galaxy" style team comic about a bunch of D-List licensed Marvel characters from the 70s and 80s. Crystar, ROM, Micronauts, etc.

Fun fact: Crystar is actually owned by Marvel, and was created in house, and then was licensed out to the toy company (was it Galoob?). It's kind of a reverse ROM.

Dragging this out from the depths, does anyone know where that crown came from?

Looks to me like maybe heavily carved out of a Thor helmet?

Thats what I was afraid of. My cutting skills are nowhere near that level. I would like to keep my fingertips intact, lol

Looking at the source further up, it looks to be a clear helmet with red accent pieces. If you have something to use as a clear helmet for the base, you could maybe manufacture the pieces out of styrene or make them with sculpy or something. The hardest part I can see is the helmet. If you're going to skip it you could manufacture the accents and glue them to the head.

I don't know if you've ever seen the Youtube channel Toy Polloi. He does vintage toy repair and restoration stuff. But I've gotten some customizing ideas from watching him. That guy can make anything with some styrene sheet and glue. :)

I haven't seen it but I will check it out. Thanks!
