  1. That Lance figure, with an Obidiah Stane head would be a great base for The Dude. The colors aren't right but close enough I think.
  2. It's not like he can't make more. They don't have to be mounted in body to work.
  3. Okay more kudos to DST customer service. I received the replacement parts today and they were the wrong set (received rights instead of lefts). Emailed Kelsey at DST and she replied right away AND spoke to me on the phone to apologize for the mix up and to let me know she'd send me the parts herself. This is a minor issue in the grand scheme of things but going above and beyond like that is the best customer service you can get. In the few minutes we spoke it sounded like they were aware of the Alien foot problem. It doesn't seem to be widespread but they did find some wrong feet on the sets they have in the office. I will say the feet look almost identical. It was only when I compared several next to each other that I noticed the difference. I think it would have helped if they had a "L" and "R" stamped on the bottom along with the legalese. Now I just need to find a cool way to display these.
  4. Opened up my SSC Batman over the weekend. I like him a lot. I went with the short-eared cowl and a simple standing, batarang ready pose. I do wish he came with an unmasked head with folded back cloth cowl for those "working in the Cave" moments. And I really miss the cape having a wire around the edges for posing. But seeing as I got this one for free I won't criticize too harshly. I might go ahead and add a wire to the sides of the cape as the sewn edges are already there. Overall I really like this guy a lot. Can't wait to see how my fave Green Lantern turns out. I'll definitely be shelling out for him.
  5. Received my SSC Batman today. Can't wait to get home and play with him. Looks really cool in the box.
  6. Exactly AND she fixed it right away that same day. I was just looking for clarification from the "experts". Didn't mean to stir up anything. Zach, thanks for any behind the scenes help with this.
  7. No she was definitely talking about the arms. Regardless she's sending me new left feet for my Aliens and a new arm for Wierzbowski.
  8. Thanks Shanester. That's what I thought but wanted to double check just in case I missed some obscure piece of Minimate construction.
  9. Got an email response from DST about my wrong footed Aliens and 2 right arm Wierzbowski. They'll replace the feet but won't replace the arm because "the arms are ambidextrous. They bend both front and back. As long as the smallest part of the hand is face inward towards Wierzbowski, it’s the correct hand." Maybe I'm missing something but all of the Minimates I have clearly have a left and right arm. There is a point on the back of the elbows that doesn't allow movement backwards (at least not as far as they go forward). I tried moving the arm forward and it doesn't bend nearly as much as it does going backwards, so I know its the wrong arm. Can anyone help me with this before I reply back to DST?
  10. I'm not ashamed to say Wilma Deering was my first crush as a kid. I've seen Erin Gray lately at conventions and she still has it. Every time this thread pops up with new replies I get a little more excited for these.
  11. Zach's been saying 2-packs for a while now. Nothing firm as far as what's in them or release dates or anything. Only for sure thing he said was the figures not in the specialty store blind bag assortment (other than the Mutagen variants) will be in the 2-packs (I think its one of the Kraang or Footbot variants) I think we're just hearing more about the 2-packs because of NYCC.
  12. Don't they have silver teeth? The ones I looked at closely had white teeth. Might be painting some silver when I do touch ups. I emailed DST customer service last night and had a reply (requesting a picture) in my inbox this morning. Can't beat that for great service.
  13. Okay just checked the figures in my second case and they are all fine. Also rechecked the ones from the first case and my Burke that I thought had 2 right arms is okay. I just had to adjust the sleeve cuff to get it to bend correctly. Still have a 2 right armed Wierzbowski and 2 2 right footed Alien Warriors. Email sent to DST customer service through their website form. Now about the figures themselves. Love that Burke has his watch. Never thought about it before but once you notice it the watch is a very stand out part of his wardrobe. I think he even shakes it loose on his wrist at one point in the film, like a bracelet or something. Wierzbowki is about what I expected for an armored marine. I like that he comes with a hairpiece. Don't recall him not wearing his helmet in the film (at least in the armor) but I'm sure its there somewhere. Spunkmeyer looks good for what he is, a simple pilot in a jumpsuit. The aliens are cool looking but I haven't played around with them much yet. Definitely will need to do some touch up painting on some of the mouths where the white teeth aren't even on both sides making some of them look kinda derpy. But that's a totally minor thing. All in all, QC issues aside I really like these and I'm glad I got 2 cases because I can see the aliens being in higher demand once the 2 packs hit.
  14. Just received my second case and the number is 98 of 1450. Going to check these for any QC issues before I contact DST customer service. Might get lucky and have the lefts to all the rights I got in my first case.
  15. Okay came home for lunch and opened my Aliens. Two of the clean, closed mouth Alien Warriors both have 2 right feet. The others were all good. So out of a case of 12 I have 4 with QC issues. How does one contact DST customer service? Is there a specific email address I should contact? A phone number? Bug Zach on Twitter? (kidding about that last one... mostly )
  16. Check those human figures folks. My Burke and Wierzbowski both have 2 right upper arms. Its hard to tell on Burke because of the rolled up sleeve cuff on the lower arm but once you move it you'll see the range of motion is backwards. Haven't had a chance to check my Aliens yet but once I do I'll be sending an email to DST customer service so I can hopefully get the "right" (left) arms for these 2 and whatever other problems I might encounter. Also my brown box case showed 763 of 1450.
  17. Control art is on the DST Facebook page. And based on that it does look like Glantern got the wrong hair piece.
  18. Mine are in the mail carriers hands and I should have them by the end of the work day. I'll let you know if my Bobby has the same hair piece or not.
  19. A Harrison Ford Minimate would probably be the best action figure likeness ever done, since 'mates don't have noses and his seems to be the one thing no one can get right.
  20. Squirrel Girl for sure in this wave. She did just have her own solo series announced. Seriously though, this could be a Daredevil themed wave with the Netflix show debuting next year. Not based on the show designs but the characters. Daredevil, Foggy, Kingpin, Elektra, etc. But its probably going to be an Avengers wave. With the movie hitting next summer, and Zach saying it will be an Avengers heavy year I think Avengers is a safe bet. Look for the heavy-hitters in some shape or form. Falcon-Cap would be all kinds of cool. Lady Thor would be another cool one to see. Is Kid Loki still around? He'd be cool on the kid base they used for the Thunderkittens. Kate Bishop Hawkeye from the Fraction/Aja series vs Madame Masque is a pairing I wouldn't say no to. A new War Machine based on the short-lived Bleeding Edge based suit from the end of Fraction's run. Lots of possibilities.
  21. I think they're going to be vs packs with one X-Man and one Brotherhood member.
  22. Looks like Hot Toys is coming out with a battle damaged Robocop and Officer Murphy set. If I was a bigger Robocop fan I'd have to get a Murphy but I'm just not that into the films. Still cool that they're bringing him to market though. Never would have thought to make a Murphy figure. Now if he comes with swappable shotgun blasted hand and battle damaged gear...
  23. Not familiar with the source material at all (beyond knowing its a game of some kind) but these look like they'd mesh really well with the Pathfinder minimates.
