  1. So Hudson and Vasquez are TRU exclusives in Series 1. Good to know. And if Bishop doesn't come with the Walking Dead zombie guts piece in android blood white I'm going to be very disappointed.
  2. Can we take this to mean there will be a TRU exclusive 2-pack? Also any idea when you can reveal the TRU line-up?
  3. Was surprised to find a Iron Man/Ronan 2-pack at TRU in Burbank today. So I snagged it. Still looking for Wolverine and I could be tempted to trade Ronan for him straight up.
  4. Wait... TRU assortment? I must have missed that announcement. Is there a TRU exclusive or is the wave the same as specialty?
  5. I'm only looking for Iron Man and Wolverine if anybody is armybuilding the Sentinel.
  6. That will be kinda hard since you have to take apart the heads to remove the bandanas. Cool idea though and I'd be really interested to see how it turns out if you do it.
  7. I'm just after Iron Man and Wolverine if anyone is getting just Ronan and/or armybuilding the Sentinel. I checked the TRU closest to me (Van Nuys, CA) yesterday and they didn't have them that I could find.
  8. So this license is direct from WB and not Fox like I thought. Very exciting news for DST getting back in with Warner.
  9. Gotham is a Fox production and the merchandise rights probably belong to Fox. So DC never entered the conversation. Just continuing DST's relationship with Fox licenses like Alien, Predator, etc.
  10. Gotham is a Fox production. So just like the movies I would wager the merchandise rights are owned by Fox and not DC. So this deal was probably made same as the other DST Fox licenses (Alien, Predator, etc) and DC never entered the conversation. Honestly I'm in for these. I like the show (its getting better in this second half of season 1) and it might be a long shot but it could get me a Morena Baccarin Minimate. Plus a Bullock 'mate means we're halfway to a "Terriers" 2-pack. So let's see. We'll probably get a Gordon/Bullock 2-pack. Then Fish, Penguin, Nygma, Bruce, Alfred, Falcone etc in box sets.
  11. Something that just occurred to me. Gotham is a Fox production. Could this announcement be because Fox has the merchandise rights and not DC directly? Could be just like the movies. Fox and Sony etc have merchandise licensing rights for "their" movies so it would make sense that Gotham merchandise rights are actually owned by Fox (even though they might need DC approval for Trademarks, etc). Given that DST seems to be doing well with their other Fox related licenses (Alien, Predator, etc) this actually makes a lot of sense.
  12. The Mirage box set looks okay. I'm not a fan of those designs though. I just didn't grow up with the Mirage comics. My first TMNT exposure was the cartoon and movie so those are "my" Turtles. But I'll still get this set because its interesting enough and will fit in the collection well. Plus I might get a second box set to have for fodder to make 90's toon style Turtles since the new elbow/kneepads and the Nightcrawler feet work better for those designs than the Nick Turtles. I do think the Mirage set would look better in B&W and I'm hoping they get produced even as a retailer or convention exclusive.
  13. I was actually thinking it could be the DC Animated Universe the other night. It makes just as much sense as any other guess at this point, if not more.
  14. I only picked up the SWB 6" Han Solo to set up on the shelf next to Malcolm Reynolds. If that Cantina dio box set wasn't all cardboard I'd have gotten it to display them on. Gonna be in for that whole Firefly series for sure. Got the wife's approval and everything.
  15. *forehead slap* I got it. I know what the new license is. Looney Tunes! Its a mainstream, active license (meaning it is widely known and they continue to put out fresh new product) It's "DC related" in that DC and Looney Tunes are both owned by parent company WB. 2-pack could be Bugs and Daffy, box sets could be the other main characters. Well known enough to support *shudder* blind-bags.
  16. I'm guessing the new license is Joss Whedon's Firefly. Funko did the crew in their ReAction line, soon to be released in their POP! line and the 6" Legacy figures were revealed on Facebook earlier today. If cult films like Kill Bill and Sin City can sell Minimates there is no reason Firefly can't support a couple of waves/box sets as well.
  17. Aren't Selects figures in 7" scale? Its not a huge difference but a technicality like that could allow for multiple licensors making figures. Look at Marvel Selects and Marvel Legends.
  18. Mortal Kombat makes sense given that the license will have both Minimates and Selects figures.
  19. I think the differences come from her suit at the end being an emergency escape suit and the ones earlier in the film are EVA suits. An emergency suit would just need to keep atmosphere and temperature where the EVA suits need more protection from the elements and lights for exploring and such. Just my own theory. In regards to Minimates, I'd be okay with just the EVA type suit which got a lot more significant screen time.
  20. RE: Spacesuits - would you guys want to see sculpted add on parts or tampoed bodies? The suits in the movie were big and bulky. I don't think they'd look good as a regular Minimate body with the suit tampo'd on, not even just thighs and upper arms. I'd like to see top to bottom add on parts, chest cap/helmet combo (removable helmet of course), upper arm caps, gloves, waist/belt, thigh caps, and boots. Do that and I'd buy a case.
  21. was thinking of kitbashing one but parts turned out to be too pricey The best things in life don't come cheap.
  22. Yeah I pull the batteries out of all of my toys, especially my 1/6 scale figures. Hot Toys has started packing the batteries uninstalled from its Iron Man figures if that tells you anything.
