  1. I saw that the Yondu pack was available around noon. The only one that didn't show up in stock was the starlord pack. It's weird that the website is showing a varying availability from person to person. I thought I had noticed the exclusive too late, but I received a confirmation shortly after my purchase.
  2. I'm really disappointed in how these look. In hand the rocket is way smaller. I take back everything I said abt liking the unarticulated miniature. Groot and drax are amazing. Both have extremely crisp paint apps. The starlord and Ronan figures are lacking a bit. The stubble on starlord's face is way too light, it makes him look like he tried to rub on some cheap tanning cream. As for Ronan, the sculpting of the head piece is strange and minimizes articulation, but I guess that boils down to a difficult movie design to replicate.
  3. I noticed toysrus posted two of the sets online last nigh around 2:00 am, but they have yet to post the exclusive set.
  4. Adding some Dark Elf and Nick Fury parts to Black Widow made for a neat looking stealth suit Nick Fury.
  5. I wasn't going to get these but I recieved a set for my birthday. I must say that these mates are stellar. The only problem I have is with the chest tampo of my black widow, but the rest of the group are absolutely perfect.
  6. I have the opposite situation. My flashback Spidey has perfect eyes, but a splotchy hip piece. My battle damaged Spidey is absolutely perfect. My regular Spidey has centered eyes, but the rest is absolute rubbish.
  7. Found these today. I wasn't going to buy them but I am glad I did. I love the Goblin Figure and electro, but Im not sure I will keep any of the spidermen. I don't know what it is but i really don't care for how they look.
  8. I kinda wish they made this costume. Not that it is my favorite, but the sculpted parts it would take to make the costume would make great custom parts.
  9. I kinda like the Marvel Now Starlord, but I really hate the movie look. It looks like Jack Flag, and Gambit had a baby.
  10. Here is my version of Magneto's new costume.
  11. I'm not sure about that sentinel, but the rest of the wave is amazing. I can not wait for these beauties to grace my shelf.
  12. The original Rocket was intended to be 4'0, but post annihilation Rocket is depicted as much smaller and slimmer than classic Rocket. A characters portrayal is down to how the artist chooses to depict certain characters. For example, the Marvel database says Wolverine is 5'3 but many artist draw him much taller. The same thing happens with Puck. I would have to say the most neglected part of the Marvel Universe would be Black Panther and his support cast.
  13. That is a statue. I meant a fully articulated large scale figure.
  14. It all has to do with the size constraints of the Marvel license. A sentinel figure cannot be made larger than 2 inches, but it can be made as source accurate as possible within the confines of the license. In an ideal world, I would love a massive sentinel. I understand that I may never get a larger sentinel, so I am appreciative to get any representation of a sentinel in the toy line I support. That being said, I think Rocket was made to be as accurate to source material as possible. Groot cannot be made larger, but rocket can be made smaller to be used as a sort of accessory for Groot. If Guardians is a smash hit, further Rockets could be made that are on a scale similar to Puck. Im not opposed to a larger more articulate Rocket, but I wouldn't like for him to be the same size as Groot.
  15. As silly as a mini Sentinel the same size as....oh....wait. Not necessarily true. The original sentinels in X-Men #14 were barely taller than a regular human and over time a sentinels height has varied depending on the model. So to have a minimate representation of a sentinel the same size as other mates isn't all that silly. On the other hand, a raccoon has a standard size that is always smaller than a human.
  16. Amazing! Jay and Silent Bob was one of my favorite movies back in High School. This set will look great on my self. SNOOGANS! That was definitely a typo. I meant to say Shelf.
  17. I would hate if there was not any more of these sets. The scavengers and storm guards make great random villains.
  18. I can't wait to see these mates. I hope they are nice. With how underwhelming the Captain America and Amazing Spider-man 2 mates are I might have some funds saved up for this set.
  19. Super stoked about this set! Abnett and Lanning's Guardians of the Galaxy series is one of my all time favorites and to be getting a set of minimates that closely resembles that series is a dream come true. The mini Rocket looks awesome. A giant raccoon the same size as the rest of the characters would look a tad silly.
  20. Love this show! I am def going to buy these. Big Bang is a popular show. These may not appeal to most regular Minimate collectors, but these could be the catalyst in creating more collectors.
  21. I cannot wait for this set to come in. The extra ultron chest piece looks like it is the same metallic color so I can replace the red skulls tv chest. Or use the parts to make an updated classic ultron.
  22. Those Hasbro figures are rubbish. Hope DST makes a Marvel Select Star Lord and Rocket Raccoon.
  23. I have never been interested in the best of waves. Hopefully this one will have figures that would entice me to empty my wallet.
  24. I mixed one of my Winter Soldiers with an extra Nick Fury Jr and it looks amazing.
  25. I cannot wait for this set! I missed out on the last group of hydra army builders, so I have ordered a multitude of them this time.
