  1. I missed this post before - I still want to make Ravager costumes for sure, but haven't found the time. I will patiently wait, but I've got all the parts lined up.
  2. That's right, K-Whack, SPOILER is indeed SPOILER. Not only that, but SPOILER is SPOILER and this time it might SPOILER.
  3. I'm hesitantly optimistic about Krypton. I will say that with Nolan's trilogy, the new DC movieverse, Smallville, Arrow/Flash, Gotham, and Constantine, I wonder how thinly DC can spread itself before it breaks. The brand confusion is already there with all of these unconnected media outlets.
  4. Syfy has the six hour Ascension airing later this month.

    TRU 19

Great lineup. That Spidey masked is straight getting repurposed into a Red Hood QC. And Ronan... Drool.
  6. I too think Cap looks great. It's a shame that his shield seems to have such sloppy paint, but thankfully I've got a few extra shields. Thanos looks really cool too. I love his size. I preordered this set from TRU, so it will be... interesting to see how that works out. I hate trying to brave TRU this time of year.
  7. I love your mods on Outback Colossus! And MM-Maniac, those are some cool mods, but that Orson Randall is especially effective. Totally stealing that one.
  8. To be fair, Gmonkey didn't say we were getting THAT Santa MInimate. He said we were getting A Santa Minimate.
  9. Love it. Here's another interesting meeting of Batman and Superman, I mean Superking. Memphis FTW. http://youtu.be/GpaQlfJsqCs
  10. I don't know why, but those guys remind me of the Ultimates 2 super soldier initiative thing. I'm guessing that they're some of the Stark's privatized SHIELD left overs.
  11. I'm not trying to harp, but I must have missed where Nick Fury was confirmed to be out of the blind bag series. I don't see it in this thread anyway. Will he be making it into one of the other assortments? I know we've already gotten two nearly identical mates of Fury, but he's a cool character. Will Strucker be the only non-army builder character in the blind bag assortment? At any rate, I'm looking forward to seeing what's in the other waves. And to seeing pics. Thanks for the updates.
  12. I'm guessing that long coat Hawkeye was going to be blind bagged until the decision to make two LCS waves plus a try wave. Either way, this should be a hell of an assortment and very complete movie lineup.
  13. With four missing characters, I'm hoping there are two TRU exclusive sets.
  14. As mush as I dislike blind bags, army builders work for me. That's some good news.
  15. Two one-per-case characters will be blind bagged and not shared? That stinks. If the other bagged characters will be army builders, I guess it will be an easier pill to swallow to just buy the full case, but I don't like it. Blind bags suck, and it sucks that they've spread to Marvel Minimates. Hulk, Quicksilver, Scarlett Witch, and Vision are missing from this lineup? Surely a box set or second/TRU wave is coming?
  16. Hopefully no blind bags. I'd prefer the standard singles we've seen before.
  17. Axis has been pretty underwhelming, IMO, but Spiderverse stuff would be fun.
  18. Add Baron Mordo, and that's my thoughts as well.
  19. Meh. I intended classic not in the old sense, but in the much-beloved, must-read sense, but even so, I think the point still makes sense. I loved GotG, but when you change almost every character and their origins, you're straying pretty far. And that's OK. I guess I just haven't seen these statements where people reveal the tone and plot of FF. Even if I had, I'd still wait for the movie before I judged it. It might be crap, but it may also give us a vibrant new look at some old favorites. I'll wait.
  20. Sometimes a movie can get all the details right and still miss the spirit. I worry less about the details and more about the spirit. I want out of a comic book movie something that is fun with good action and good characterization. I want it to capture the essence of the source material, but not so much that it becomes a slave to the source. Right now we're sweating the details. I think most Marvel movies and the Dark Knight Trilogy did a fine job of this. But what really gets me is the complete anger about FF changing details when the last comic movie we got was GotG. Which, you know, was completely faithful in retelling a classic Guardians story.
