  5. FYI, my local TRU isn't one of the special TRUs that get ALL the minimates (we didn't get the Valiant pack or the Spongebob pack), they did get this wave of Turtles in though.
  6. Yes, Onyx_6 found them in Madison (WI I assume), I found them today in Racine, WI. Casey may be my new favorite Minimate.
  7. Anyone else collecting these? Like other Mega Bloks, they have the codes printed on the blind packaging, so that helps! https://www.megabloks.com/en-us/shop/construction-toys/despicable-me-minions Series two of the 'blind' box/bags has been a pain in the butt to find. I've seen remnants at a few Wal-Marts. And by remnants I mean 3 open boxes and two empty boxes. Waiting on a sale at TRU before picking up some of the building sets though. I've not seen the castle anywhere, and the blind package for series 3 shows a Dinosaur escape set that the website doesn't list.

  13. Dinobots! And a bunch of other guys I don't want. Hmmm.
  14. Grabbed 15 of 'em in West Allis, WI. Got a full set now. Also grabbed the box if anyone is desperate for it.
  15. These are showing up at Gamestop, grabbed a Groot for $7.99 today.
  16. Yeah, totally waiting. Still need to pick up the Lego Movie game and Lego Batman 3.
  17. Never saw Series 5, but K'Nex lists a series 6 on their website... Build your favorite Super Mario™ characters! Each set includes 1 buildable figure - Gold Mario, Fox Luigi™, Boo, Daisy, Tanooki Mario, or one of 2 NEVER before seen figures: Para-Goomba and Fire Brother! Which one will you get? Collect all 7! http://www.knex.com/shop/17917/mystery-figure-bags-series-6/ Also a new 3 pack... Build characters from Super Mario™ 3D World! This buildable figure 3-pack includes Cannon Box Mario, Skipsqueak, and a special, exclusive mystery figure - who will you get? All figures work with the entire K'NEX Super Mario™ building set line. For ages 6+. http://www.knex.com/shop/17919/cannon-box-mario-skipsqueak-mystery-figure/ Gotten to the point where I'm about done collecting these, not going to order blind bags over the internet or pay inflated prices on eBay for the 1 or 2 I want from a wave.
  18. Next year my daughter is too old for the 'kid pass' so we're going on Saturday. Alysa really wants to see the big Cosplay contest at night.
  19. I've only been to two different conventions multiple times, so I'll give my thoughts based on C2E2 and WW Chicago. The first year of C2E2 felt really different than the WW-Chicago conventions I had been to. It seemed more comic oriented, it was in the Lakeshore building so it was gorgeous, lots of room, didn't feel overly crowded. Since then it has slowly gotten closer to what WW Chicago is. Still seems way better, but it seems more like just any comic convention with all the celebrities, etc. Seems to have gotten more crowded, which is a good thing in the long run I guess. Still way cheaper than WW Chicago, but I can feel that changing too. The first 3 years on Kids day my daughters was able to get sketches from a bunch of people, but as she gets older and the show gets busier she isn't having as much luck. I really want it back in the Lakeshore building!
  20. Picked up the Banshee and Wolverine packs at the comic store yesterday, both great sets. Tons of accessories, and brings back a lot of great memories! Uncanny 277 was my 2nd issue of X-Men, so having Gambit and Wolverine in the costumes from the cover is neat (plus I think the cover to 275 was one of the many X-Men posters I had on my wall). But, probably just going to display them as Forge and Banshee, but nice to know that that other option is there. Blob and Pyro are fun, glad to see some new brightly colored comic characters. Will probably try and pick up Avalanche and Destiny down the line to complete the team, but skip the two X-women. I'm happy with the other versions of the characters I have and never care much for any customs I try.
  21. Also, Zenescope did have their Minimates at their table (both the 4 pack $20 and the 2 individual boxes at $10 each). Valiant also had their 2 pack at their table for $10. The guy I spoke with mentioned another set in the works, but I didn't get any clues as to who.
  22. Argh! Didn't think to look for a All New X-Men Bobby Drake when I was there. That was pretty much the theme of my trip to C2E2. I kinda got freaked out by an odd scam phone call just after I got on the floor saying my debit card was compromised, so didn't feel comfortable trying to use it. Kicking myself for not buying a bunch of things! The new Diamond Select booth was really nice. My daughter loved the Nightmare Before Christmas merch, and thought the Batman stuff was neat. I stared at the Cassie Hack statue for a bit, but could not mentally will it through the display case. Wasn't at the panel, but excited for a lot of the things shown. I need 3 Iron Spiders! Luckily, my daughter wants a Spider Gwen too.
  23. If the Starlord is no different than the other one, I'll have an extra to get rid of, same with Rocket. Drax is supposed to be on the bigger body. Groot has a new head, Gamora looks new.

  25. http://infinityinquirer.com/ I visit that website or follow them on twitter. They also have an Amiibo site. Still need to track down a few discs to complete my set, but in no hurry to do so.
