  1. The outer cases of Wave 14 imply that 727 cases were produced.
  2. It was 'yours truly' that called Tate a 'munter' & perhaps I should take credit(?) for the 'awareness alert' to the 'agenda'. Tate was superb in this series ,I have championed her throughout & the refreshing 'relationship' she had with the Doctor was far more intense than the Rose/Martha cliche shite. The series finale was ,alas, never going to equal the hype but was superb. I was not quite on the 'edge of my seat' but it had everything...all the emotions, wonderful. Tennant..... quit while your ahead? How very neuvo-British....how very Tony Blair! Tennant is not perfect but will go far ....why not be remembered as the best Dr.Who...ever? He could do a lot worse & he's far too clever an actor to be typecast. Sarah Jane I'm afraid is far too old for me but I would like to mention Kylie .....
  3. Karamazov80 ,for God's stop wingeing about that bloody C3PO...it's not as if it's a Minimate, you know ......something important
  4. Good shit in life? well I'm still breathing should I ask for more? T. The answer to the first question is Guinness .
  5. I(we) know very little about the proposed Dr.Who Minimates though your conjecture is welcome. Cybermen are obviously some of your favourite characters. They lean heavily on the BSG Modern Cylon character already produced,so it is possible that an early 'army' builder might happen. Chase figures in each Minimate Wave are packed with a (more)common figure.
  6. 'Not all that excited about Minimates' Well .....welcome !
  7. Wow! I can't believe you found a Stormtrooper. I was thinking about getting a second one, but they were gone forever shortly after they came out around here... Indy looks pretty damn cool too! I actually found the stormtrooper at a local comic convention. I paid $15 for it which wasnt bad seeing as how they go for $35-45 on ebay. Does anybody happen to know how many "variants" there are for the Star Wars line? I've heard of the Darth Vader "Double Pupil", Stormtrooper w/ Dark Grey shadowing, and a "bronze" C3PO. Seeing as I have enough bloody collections check this out before I leap into another. Please help me beat this thing http://cgi.ebay.com/Star-Wars-Mighty-Muggs...p3286.m14.l1318
  8. Wii Drink Session arrived yesterday: Well, after day one,I can easily say that this is more for people looking to get pissed ,than those looking for more interactive games like darts, dominoes & cribbage. The Sessions has games that involve the bar, such as drinking, more drinking, swearing at the landlord which is similar to tightrope walking, farting & even the hiccups after six pints. However the main focus is on becoming completely outofit through alcohol strength-testing , lager & the eventual balance/posture exercises as you leave the virtual pub. It is,in my opinion,a very nice item for in home ,personal blowouts. It is easy. I have never done Budweiser, but luckily, a lot of the same ingredients are used in Stella Artois, which I have drunk for years. It will be a while before I am scoring with the barmaid , I'm no amateur but I get which isn't fun I'm sorry Shanester....in advance
  9. What 'Jules' posted was a canny synopsis of the recent Dr.Who/Torchwood series. I personally like the Donna character & the current Dr. is perhaps the best. It is easy to rate the 'current' anything as the best but perhaps I have, for once, a 'special' vantage point. I watched the very first episode of Dr.Who when it aired in 1963 & have seen some wonderful episodes & some total crap during the next 45 years. Regarding the re-vamped Dr.Who ,I dislike the 'agenda' ,I cringe at some of the acting of a few of the supporting cast(usually those wearing UNIT uniforms) , I shudder at how far Rose's front teeth continue to 'grow' & that's it .....apart from those minor criticisms Dr.Who is the only show that could even compete with US Sci-Fi. This IS the golden-age of Dr.Who without a shadow of a doubt . Oh yeah we had Kylie as well ,I like Kylie a lot ,an awful lot, very much, totally .....
  10. There was a thread here once about 'Do you carry a 'Mate with you?' ......Hannibal is now that 'Mate, absolutely brilliant. I look forward to taking him up the pub, sharing the statutory bottle of chianti & chewing the fat
  11. I've just seen the pictures of Wave 5 & I just can't think of something positive to say. The 'stock-photo' packaging is lame & wouldn't attract a wasp if it were smeared in honey,f**king dreadful.Since when did Minimates packaging have pictures of anything other than Minimate caricatures ? The figures themselves ? Words for once fail me.
  12. Could you show us your source? I've heard nothing about this sequel. This is dated almost a year ago! http://www.firstshowing.net/2007/06/08/i-r...lready-written/
  13. As we're talking Aliens & Kubricks, strangely enough I snagged this today ....why? Actually in the UK we have a TV show 'Little Britain'....Bubbles De Vere anyone. This is a genuine Bearbrick.....WTF are these Japanese on?
  14. I do hope they are sold over here in the US, but if I have to buy them from a UK online store to get 'em, so be it! Unfortunately for us in UK it is likely that we will have to buy them from the US .
  15. I must admit I have never really 'looked forward' to this set but they arrived this afternoon & they are superb. The paint apps. etc. are perfect & the packaging (I love display packaging) is the best yet . I hope you guys in the US get yours soon ......... are they still sold there ?
  16. In my early days of collecting 'Mates I 'won' a specific set ('mates)off ebay from a certain company in Florida. I waited some weeks for a completely different set to arrive! When I queried this I was told that the ones I 'won' weren't available so they "just sent me some others" & "if I wasn't happy just send them back". That was my first & last experience with this particular company who aren't that Popular with me .Their Highgrade(?) after-sales is also legendary.
  17. My girlfriend bought me the Spider-Man CD Rom collection a couple of years ago as a present. I was thrilled until I 'rolled' it ..... Ungrateful? Yes I'm afraid I was. Whatever I am now, I used to be a printer for nigh on thirty years & I realise the limitations of printing .....I also know it's power. The digital age is here to stay & thankyou God but.......I still love ,yes love, my Silver Age off-white paper comics. Nuff said.
  18. I've been searching ebay for Wii Drink Session with little success .
  19. Really? Even for Stealth IM or Sym Spidey? Do you have a variant Jean at all? Yes. Yes for Sym ,Yes for loose Stealth. Yes.
  20. Categorically the hardest Marvel Wave to find on ebay , the variant is the rarest of all variants. I would/will happily swap almost any other Minimate pack for this 2 pack.
  21. Getty-yap!! I have threatened before that I may post a pic of my Shrek kubrick 'mounted' by Clint ....that day is coming soon  I'll laugh myself horse(sp.)
  22. ???? This is rapidly turning into '50 things you never knew about bondage' Thanks for the great pics.
